Quaint and comfortable
My family of four thought this cottage was fantastic. We would definitely book it again. Bill was a great host and very helpful.
Cute, great location!
This was a great value and the location was perfect. We loved staying here and only wish that we hadn’t been so busy so we could enjoy the cottage more. Everything you needed was in the cottage and there were great restaurants all within a few short blocks. We will return to this place for sure!
Great San Diego Bungelow
This is a great San Diego bungelow - not modern but a vintage, quirky property in a neighborhood that has everything we wanted. At least 4 excellent restaurants, a wonderful taco food truck, grocery store and liquor store within a five minute walk. We highly recommend Piacere Mio, possibly the best Italian restaurant we have ever visited (including in NY).
The house was spotless, well furnished and equipped, and very comfortable, with plenty of room for three adults. Our favorate place was a covered outdoor patio with comfortable seating, attractive landscaping and a fountain - very relaxing. In addition, we were a short (and inexpensive) Uber ride from Petco Park, Gaslight District and Balboa Park/San Diego Zoo.
The owner, Bill, is responsive and answered all our questions and recommended restaurants and other attractions. And, when we had a request, he responded quickly. Very friendly and good guy!
Overall, this is a great property in a great location. We would highly recommend and hope to stay at again.
Thank you Joe for the fine review. It was a pleasure hosting you, although couldn't the Brewers from Milwaukee give my poor Padres one win for opening weekend? Kidding of course and I thrilled that you enjoyed San Diego!!
Have a Great Day,
Comfortable cottage in charming South Park neighborhood
This cottage was just perfect for my husband and me. We wanted a safe, walkable neighborhood with restaurants & shops nearby, and the location was exactly that. The owner, Bill, couldn't have been more helpful and quick to respond. Nice covered patio with water feature, very comfortable bed in master, spacious living room with excellent tv. Be aware that one must walk through one bedroom to get to the master. Eclipse Chocolates across the street serves excellent full service meals, not just chocolate.
I’m thrilled that Shirley enjoyed the cottage. Perfect guest don’t even do it justice. She and her husband would be welcome anytime. Unfortunately they did get the only 2 days it has rained all year.

The perfect getaway!
This was our first visit to San Diego. What a pleasant surprise this home was. Bill was a great host and responded to any needs immediately. The location was incredibly convenient to everything, Balboa Park, beaches and downtown. Plenty of space indoors and comfortable private space outside as well. Being able to cook in the modestly stocked kitchen was great with all the fresh seafood in the area and having a private lanai to enjoy those meals on was a real bonus. If you come to hang out or see all that San Diego County has to offer this is a great spot to do it from. Restaurants in the area were superb. The best tacos in town were from the truck parked across the street at 3030 Grape, Marisco's Nine Sea's . Don't miss Eclipse Chocolate across Fern St., with its eclectic menu and a chocolate twist. Can easily recommend this spot and will stay again when we return to San Diego.
