About this property
Secluded Romantic Cottage
This is a cozy secluded cottage on the outskirts of Andes with a seasonal hot tub ( running again April 1st.) tucked away on 5 acres, at the end of a dirt road, surrounded by hundreds of acres of NYC environmental protected land. Perfect location for a work-from-home alternative, High Speed Internet ( 100 Mbps / 15 Mbps ) . The property is exceptionally quiet, with all the comforts you’ll need for a vacation get away. A hiking trail begins directly by the property and leads through miles of environmental protected forests and meadows with stunning views. Lakes for swimming and Waterfalls to discover 25 minutes away. Our town Andes has also a nice pool with adult lap swimming hrs.
In the winter, an all wheel or 4 wheel drive is strongly recommended.
The only neighbors you can see is us, at the end of the road about 500 feet ( 2 football fields ) away from the cottage. Pets are welcome, please let us know what kind of dog you are bringing, we have a $ 25 pet fee (ad pet as guest upon booking check out ) There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed ( 10in Medium Gel Memory Foam) and a sleeping couch in the main room. Spacious porch. Wood burning stove and central heat and air condition.
We always take extra care in cleaning and disinfect surfaces between reservations. No inquiries or bookings for hunting please !
Please be aware that there will be a possibility of a power outage at the cottage and throughout our immediate area of Delaware County during your stay. Unfortunately this happens frequently when power lines come down during high winds, heavy rain and from significant wet snowfall. On average, once the power is out it takes the electric company NYSEG about eight hours to restore power. However there have been times when the power has been out for more than 48 hours. If an outage does happen the cottage is prepared with a small back-up Ecoflow battery which will run the internet, charge phones and laptops, run the coffee maker, an induction cook plate and a few lights for about 48 hours. There is also a wood stove that will easily heat the cottage. Note that we will not be able to refund any booking costs if the power goes out durning your stay.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Very cozy and clean cabin. We visited during rainy and wet weather, but still had a great time. Host was very helpful and responsive. Cabin was very private, and host provided lots of firsthand info about the local areas, as well as pamphlets about things to do nearby. Will absolutely stay here again, would recommend.
Wonderful little get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Very secluded and exactly as described. Fully equipped with everything you could ever need for a little romantic break and perfectly located to get to the surrounding towns in the Catskills. Very highly recommended !! Will definitely book again when in the area.
We had such a relaxing vacation at the cottage! Pia and Mark are very responsive hosts who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. We loved the eclectic, arts-inspired decor, the wide range of books, as well as the raspberry & blueberry patch right outside! Whether relaxing on the front porch & watching the hummingbirds, or enjoying the 2-person hot tub out back, we found every moment perfect.
A great, quiet spot and an ideal place to get away as advertised. We stayed for a week and it proved to be an excellent spot to decompress.
Beautiful surroundings and plenty (or nothing) to do in the area.
Small and cozy, comfortable to just relax and get away. Nice and quiet with a beautiful entrance and yard. It was so clean and the hot tub was also so fun and relaxing. Overall a great experience
Small, but perfectly formed! Lovely little cottage nestled in the woods, with great hikes nearby and very helpful and communicative hosts. If you are in the area highly recommend the baked goods (especially the morning buns) at Wilsons Bread, and also the goat milk yoghurts at Dirty Girl farm. Loved my stay here.
We spent the weekend to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. The property was exactly what we needed. Was not only beautiful, but it was a perfect retreat to peace and quiet and to disconnect reconnected! The cottage was well stocked, very comfortable
Absolutely beautiful house and property. The house was cozy and stocked with everything we needed. We did plenty of hiking during the day qnd explored the town of Andes - Wayside Cider and Dragonfly Cafe were highlights. Pia was a wonderful host and very helpful. Will be back!
Ended up having to cut our stay short due to power outage due to a storm, but this is such a great spot. We hope to come back again in the future. Clean, cozy, super comfortable bed, and overall one of the best cottage rentals I've ever found. Highly recommend. Plus the care that the host as put in to minimize discomfort in the event of a power outage is really appreciated!
Our host Pia was a great communicator, both in terms of customer service and laying out the expectations of our stay. The interior is even homier than it looks in the pictures, with plenty of space to cook and enjoy recreational activities. Other than the long distance proximity to gas and food (it’s the Catskills, so what can we expect 😆) everything was as pristine as it gets. Would highly recommend to anyone coming up for a weekend getaway from the city!
Great little cabin. We spent 3 nights and a couple of rainy days here. We really enjoyed the solitude and quiet. Eclectic furnishings and an interesting selection of books! The kitchen had everything we needs and more to cook up a storm! The wood stove kept us warm and cozy in the evening. Out of the way but still close enough to Andes and Margaretville for some fun - checked out the Andes rail trail and had dinner to go from the Andes Hotel. We had a lovely time - thank you for your hospitality!
I truly had a wonderful stay. This is a very relaxing & peaceful location. Hostess Pia has beautiful cottage on a country rural background setting ... relax and unwind here. You totally rejuvenate at this location. I slept like a baby... beds were so comfortable. Lots of hours of hikes and swimming in the pond.I did some Mountain biking all over this county. I really had a wonderful stay at this location. I'm totally returning. I give this host 5 big stars . I shall return. Thank you so much for sharing.... Feeling great!
Very cute, small but cozy and comfortable. Stayed for 6 nights with my dog. Pretty remote area, extremely quiet and very pretty. Kitchen has everything you should need, the fireplace and record player are great. It was super snowy when we were there but still very warm. I will say in the winter not a great place for dog walks lol unless your dog is good off leash, which mine is not. But we managed ok. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again!!
It’s an absolute gem. Pia is a wonderful host. There’s a pond with a valley view right on the property. Lots of trails in the area. My muscles appreciated hot tub after a day of hiking.
Deers, hummingbirds, chipmunks, squirrels, butterflies…. nature at the doorsteps… very relaxing.
