About Laura Beegle
This is our family's Lake house. My Dad purchased the property in 1991 and built a small house/cabin. There are 4 of us (children) and we have been coming out to the lake house for years. We even helped to build the cabin. It is great, we have our own lake to fish & play, but we also have "in our opinion" one of the best lakes in North America, 15 minutes away. Lake Michigan!! In 2005 we had a fire that destroyed the home. We were devastated and lost many of our families priceless momentous , photos & furniture(losing grandma's afghans & quilts was the worst for me) My dad was the best and said we can rebuild and not to worry! That is the home you see today. He worked with the architect and builder to create the perfect house for us. Unfortunately we lost our Dad suddenly in 2012. We didn't know what to do, we were so sad, and didn't want to lose our families Lake home. My sister & I were lucky enough to be able to purchase the property and keep it in the family. Our goal is to offer our home to families so they can have amazing life memories here too!

What makes this House unique
It is rare to find a home on a lake that is secluded. That is us. We sit on just over 2 acres and have 110 feet of frontage. The beach is very sandy and perfect for kids

We had a very nice stay the week of 8/3/19. This was our first vacation in Michigan and we would return again. We went with another couple, our young boys, and our dogs. It's very nice that we could bring our dogs and not have to board them for a week!
The house is very nice and very clean. We did have to move a few things around during our stay due to the kids (3 and almost 2), just for safety concerns. This wasn't a huge deal we just had to be extra cautious with the sliding doors and kitchen drawers with sharp utensils since no child proofing.
The beds were all very comfortable and the linens and towels being included is a huge help when traveling!
We did rent the very nice pontoon boat for 3 days and would've used it more if the lake was a bit larger and didn't have as much grass in it.
There is an extra refrigerator in the garage which was so nice to place our drinks and food overflow in.
Laura was super friendly and so easy to work with. We even left a few items behind and she mailed those to us within a few days. Thank you!
We loved South Haven and the beach there. We brought our bikes and road through the town a couple of days since it was so beautiful.
The only negative is the location. You are 20-30 minutes away from some of the nice Lake MI beaches and the larger grocery chains. Not a huge deal for some, but with little ones and naps the extra drive time added up.
We would definitely consider returning though since the house is well cared for and since Laura was so wonderful. Their family home is truly special.
Perfect vacation spot for our families
Fun in the jacuzzi, well-maintained dock, great pontoon boat (be sure to sign on for it), huge deck with two dining tables and four really comfortable chaises for lounging while you enjoy the lake view. Extra large grill. Plenty to keep the kids busy and happy. Friendly and very cooperative owner.
We had a wonderful vacation! The home is beautiful, very well cared for and offered us so many options for fun activities! The owner was great to work with!
We had a great week.. Laura is great and the the property is wonderful.. would love to return
We had a wonderful time at Beegle Beach. I was initially drawn to the property because I was searching for a location that would fit the needs of my extended family, as well as my 2 dogs. Laura, the owner, was very responsive to our needs. We would definitely enjoy another visit at this lovely location.
Lovely home on a quiet lake
Our large family had a nice week at Beegle Beach. There was plenty of space for nine adults and two children. The kitchen is well-equipped. It drizzled one whole day, so we had a ping-pong tournament, played games and sat in the hot tub on the deck. We never felt “closed-in.” There is lots of sand for children to play in and we used the kayaks. The lake is very shallow, which was a bummer because we couldn’t get our boat in. But we took it to a nearby lake (15 minutes) and had a few days on the water anyway. This is a perfect family vacation cottage.
