Air Conditioning available-Two Bedrooms with CalKing in master and Queen in 2nd bedroom plus Queen sofabed in livingroom to accommodate 4 to 6 guests. Bed's are very comfortable expensive Ortho posturepedic foam and are guaranteed no bedbugs.

This unique location offers beautiful turquoise surf breaking views from every room of the house. The 'Old Hawaii' atmosphere of Koa wood and vaulted ceilings create an open and spacious feeling of aloha and royalty. There is plenty of space with private relaxing places to escape and relax.

The 'Apple Oasis' is unique with a peaceful and serene private lawn along the shoreline. Can you smell the marsh- mellows roasting on your fire by the ocean? It's like heaven!

On the waters edge, you overlook some of the most pristine coral reefs and surf breaks in all the islands. If you're lucky, during their regular seasonal visits, you'll see Humpback Whales, pods of Dolphins, Mata Rays and Green Sea Turtles at your Lanai steps.

The house location on the island is a perfect starting point for nearby activities and day trips. The house is located in an ideal spot just a block away from the best snorkeling beach on the island, Kahaluu Beach Park. There is a great view of the parks' popular surf break from the lanai where you can watch the local surfers all day long.

You will love lounging in the shady peacefulness of your private seaside palm grove looking out over the Kahaluu Bay surf break. The tranquil privacy and natural beauty is rhythmically enhanced by the constant sounds of the breaking waves on your very own private oceanfront shoreline.

Afternoons are a great time to stretch out and relax in the comfort of your soothing Kona hammocks. Sleep inside with a view of the waves from your bed or sleep outside under the stars while being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the sea and the moon setting over the Pacific.

Without leaving the property, you can barbeque and enjoy snorkeling, swimming, diving, shore fishing, sunbathing, hammock laying, sunset watching, paddle-boarding and kayaking. It will be your own private vacation home for a romantic getaway, family vacations, reunions, spiritual retreats, and weddings. Wheelchairs can easily navigate this disability- friendly property.

Within 1 mile of the property you'll find a supermarket, a drugstore, good restaurants, "luxury" shopping, health/facial/nail spas, movie theaters, tennis courts, and hotels providing delicious Sunday morning buffets and live local entertainment . Another mile away are world class golf courses, genuine "tourist" luaus, a dive shop, snorkel and dive excursion boats, big game fishing boats, kayaks, canoes, and paddle-board rentals.

Come see why Hawaiian royalty and their families lived along this magical oasis shoreline . Melt away your stress and pressures as you rest and listen to the waves break below your Lanai.

Full service property managers are always available for any questions or emergencies.

We also can introduce you to some of the best massage therapists on the Island. Yes the internet wifi connection is fast and reliable and our hi-definition T.V.'s in all the rooms use Time Warner Cable.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Great location with extensive ocean frontage...not overlooked, plenty of space and comfortable. Close to Kona restaurants and amenities yet you feel you are in your own world.

Very functional, well equipped. The outdoor shower (as mentioned in other reviews), is a big hit. There's plenty of space and we saw other rentals which were more expensive but nowhere near as nice.

Breathtaking Views

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at the Apple Oasis for 10 days for the Ironman triathlon and wished we were able to stay much longer. The views are amazing from the vast back yard of the property. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and all of the amenities were explained to us. The house was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and active vacation including snorkeling gear, hammocks, an outdoor pool/ping pong table, lush towels, a fully equipped kitchen and air conditioned bedrooms. The owner provided us with lists of suggested restaurants and things to do on the island and he was very responsive to questions and requests. The property was well maintained and very accessible to most attractions. I highly recommend this property for your next vacation.

Ocean front gem

  • 5 of 5

Our week long stay at the "Apple Oasis" was spectacular. The home is at an ideal location steps from the ocean. The views, lanai, and private beach are the highlights. The kitchen is well stocked and the house is very comfortable and shows pride of ownership.

Wonderful Stay in Feb 2017

  • 4 of 5

We were 2 couples that stayed for 2 weeks and it was thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable!

Things we liked:

- excellent host help from Richard

- views were outstanding

- spacious living areas, including outside

- really well stocked kitchen supplies

- fantastic outdoor shower with Ocean views

- short walk to good snorkeling at Kahaluu Beach Park

- short & easy drive to Kona and Keauhou Shopping Center

Things to know:

- the Master Bedroom is Ocean Front with great views and the Master Bath has a shower with a view! King Bed. In room air-conditioner which helped on humid days/nights.

- the 2nd Bedroom has a slider onto the side of lanai facing the building next door with views of the ocean if you are standing right there but not from the bed. Another window is high above the bed and faces the Ali'i Drive. In room air-conditioner which helped with humid days/nights and street noise. Queen Bed.

- the Master Bedroom door can be closed so that others can access that bathroom and laundry which is handy

- the "main" bathroom is across an entrance hallway from the 2nd bedroom and also accesible from the living room

- because the front door is not used, we found the space in that entrance hallway perfect for storing all of our luggage

- there were not 4 low beach chairs when we were there and we wish there were the back-pack kind to make it easier to carry to Kahaluu Beach Park as the walk there is a little treacherous with cars whizzing closely in some stretches with little shoulder space and at times felt long in the heat trying to carry all of our things (we are in our 60s)

- the grill wasn't working when we were there and we had to contact the maintenance guy several times to see about getting it fixed (it ended up not being a big deal as we found so many fun restaurants nearby to eat at!)

- it is difficult to pull into and out of the driveway with our large SUV but we eventually mastered some ways to do it

- it is an older home so not in perfect, updated contdition which did not matter at all to our group but might to some

- we were disappointed to not be able to snorkel right off the rocks in front of the house due to high surf the week we were there but at the end of the week we did get to see honus in the tide pools

We would highly recommend and stay there again!

Amazing Location

  • 5 of 5

The location is amazing. The lanai is huge and has a pool table. We watched the sun set over the water every night. The house has everything we needed for our stay including beach chairs and toys. The owner, Richard, was great. Highly recommended!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!

  • 5 of 5

The front of the home is located on Alii Drive, the rear situated on the lava beach on Kahaluu Bay, a 10 minute drive to Kona Town. Perfect location for a beach house with great access to

Kona Town. Great neighborhood with quick access to the snorkeling beach and the Keauhou shopping center.

We very much enjoyed our stay, and would definitely consider renting the "Apple Oasis" for another Kona-Kailua visit!

Owner and property manager were always available, everything represented in the property description is accurate, even understated.

Our Once-in-a-Lifetime Vacation

  • 5 of 5

The location is to die for, just you and the ocean. The house itself is perfectly designed with cross-breezes and tons of light and everything opening out to the lanai and the water. Furthermore, it's soulful, not some generic modern hotel-like place, but a funky and artistic and homey and fancy and un-fancy and welcoming home with a vibe. It's clear that the house works for a lot of folks but what a treat for a couple! Loved all the action out the windows, from surfers to local fishermen. Loved, of course, falling asleep to the sound of the ocean steps away. It was easy to explore the whole island from here We could walk to snorkeling and swimming. Thank you to the owners. Mahalo.
