About this property

Cheerful, Central 3BR Close to Everything

IMPORTANT: This home is available from July 25 - December 28, 2025. We are hoping to rent to one tenant/group/family for the entire span, and the rate has been set accordingly.

Bright, airy, cheerful home in a great location in North Oakland, one block from the Berkeley border and central to Berkeley, Oakland, and Emeryville. 30 minutes into San Francisco by car and 20 by BART. Very close to multiple forms of public transit. A lovely place to come home to after a long day at school or work – and/or a fantastic base from which to explore the entire Bay Area. 1750 spacious square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.

Features:

1) A large primary bedroom suite with a king-sized bed and memory-foam topper; sliding doors that open onto a second-story deck; two sizable closets; and an en-suite bathroom with two sinks, a tub/shower, and a XL washer/dryer.
2) Two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with two singles, connected by a roomy bathroom with a tub/shower. (Alternatively, one of these bedrooms can be set up as an office for two with a two-seater sitting/standing desk.)
3) A kitchen fully stocked with a wide range of supplies for cooking and baking. Includes a Viking gas range/oven, filtered water on tap, an instant-hot water tap, a dishwasher, an in-sink disposal, and all the minor appliances (toaster oven, blender, food processor, etc.).
4) Off-street parking for one car and generally available on-street parking.
5) Some storage space available in the garage.
6) In the summer and fall months, access to a bounty of fruit from our trees/vines -- figs, raspberries, and blackberries.

Special notes:
This is our home. We will leave it impeccably clean and orderly, and we will clear the vast majority of space in all closets and dressers, but there will be a few items left in place (including photos of us on the walls).
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We are passionately in love with the Bay Area, where we've lived for 25 years. Our home is our cheerful, comfortable sanctuary in the middle of a vibrant urban area with almost limitless opportunities for exploration and enjoyment. Take a quick walk over to Temescal for incredible Burmese, Korean, Mexican, Tibetan, Japanese, or Italian food. Hop onto BART to be in San Francisco in 20 minutes. Take a 15-minute drive into the hills for spectacular hiking with views of the entire bay. Bike to downtown Berkeley for a night of fantastic theater at the Rep, or Aurora, or Shotgun Players. And when you get home, relax into the happy color palette of our bright decor.
