About this property

Your home away from home in the flats of Greenbrae

Split air units in each bedroom -- for A/C or Heat

In the flats of Greenbrae, our 4100 sq ft home will be your perfect getaway. We have central heating as well as individual split air systems in each bedroom that can provide both A/C or heat.

We have 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and two BONUS dormer rooms (dormer rooms have no doors). One dormer room has a box spring and two twin mattresses on top that are currently stacked (but can be separated into two individual beds) . There is no door (hence it being a dormer) but we have a pressure rod and blackout curtain we can put up for you. We can set up an air mattress in the second dormer if needed.

We can sleep 10 in beds -- including using the two twin beds in the dormer. And a total of 12 people if using the additional air mattress.

The sun-drenched open plan kitchen looks out over the backyard and pool. We are very active bakers and cooks and have pretty much every utensil, cookware and baking pan you'd need for any kind of meal or dessert.

The eating areas flow seamlessly through French doors to a spacious dining room & living room.

Our home is a 5 minute walk to the BonAir Shopping Center which has a Mollie Stones supermarket, Gotts Roadside, ice cream, SweetGreens, sushi, Peets Coffee, Orange Theory, a CVS and more.

The Marin Country Mart is only a 7-10 minute drive away (depending on traffic and stoplights) and has over 50 shops and restaurants like Shake Shack, Rustic Bakery, Goop, Hudson Grace and SoulCycle.

On the other side of Sir Francis Drake Blvd from the Marin Country Mart is the Larkspur Ferry terminal. The Larkspur Ferry costs $14 for a one way adult ticket and drops you off at the San Francisco Ferry Building.

If you have a car, you can also take the 101 freeway north to wine country. From our house it's about a 40 min drive to the Sonoma Plaza square and ~50 min to Napa.

You'll have access to the entire house and yard except for the garage and a few closets we'll lock off for our personal belongings.

Beautiful home in a great location. We enjoyed the yard and the kitchen is phenomenal with everything a needed to make Thanksgiving dinner. It's close to shopping and the ocean.

We are a family of 4. We have two kids in college and one ball-obsessed lab/shepherd mix. We love cooking (and baking!!), outdoor grilling, playing Hearts, and gathering with friends in our sun-drenched kitchen space or in the backyard. In the winter we head to Lake Tahoe area to ski every chance we get.

Why they chose this property

This house is magical. We knew it as soon as we walked in to tour it. Other people feel it, too. Our favorite spot in the house is the kitchen, and it's not just because we love to cook. It's sunny, and inviting, and it's our happy place.

We are in the coveted "flats" of Greenbrae which means you won't have any hills to climb to get around on foot. We're just a two-minute walk across Sir Francis Drake Blvd to the Bon Air Shopping Center -- which has 50 stores & restaurants (including Gott's Roadside, Sweetgreen, Loving Cup (frozen yogurt), a nail salon, blow dry bar, Stretchlab, Orangetheory Fitness, a supermarket and so much more!

There are a plethora of hiking options within minutes of our home (Phoenix Lake, Mt. Tam, King Mountain Loop to name a few), as well as world-class mountain biking. And Highway 101 is ~1mile from us and can take you north to Sonoma + Napa or south to San Francisco.

Our home is 4100 square feet with beautiful indoor/ outdoor lounge spaces, bonus rooms, and a large, solar-heated pool and grassy yard. We have tons of spaces for your group to gather together and lots of nooks and crannies for everyone to have private space as well.

The eat-in kitchen flows seamlessly through French doors to a spacious dining room and living room. We have outdoor seating and a shade umbrella next to the pool in our south-facing backyard.

We are in the coveted "flats" of Greenbrae which means you won't have any hills to climb to get around on foot. Our home is:
- 1 mile to Highway 101 which takes you north to wine country or south to San Francisco.

- 13 minutes by car to the Golden Gate Bridge and on to San Francisco.

- 1.2 miles to the Larkspur Ferry which takes you to one of SF's most famous landmarks - The Ferry Building. The Ferry Building is another great place for shopping and food exploration (try the alfajores cookies at El Porteño!).

The Larkspur Ferry is a great way to see the Bay landmarks too (Angel Island, Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge, and the Golden Gate Bridge)!
