Perfect family home in Hanalei

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for my family of 4 (which includes a 6 and 4 year old). We stayed 8 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The home had everything we needed, and we were especially thankful for the beach toys, boogie boards, surfboards, and awesome beach cart. We used them all everyday! The home was very clean and well equipped - large kitchen with all the appliances you need, bedrooms are very large with comfortable beds and plenty of closet and dresser space, and lots of nice outdoor spots to enjoy coffee in the morning while watching waterfalls on the mountains. The house is quiet, save for the roosters in the morning but that is life in Hanalei. The walk to the beach is really easy - pulling the beach cart full of stuff and kids took us 5 minutes from house to sand. It is an easy walk to town, although I would recommend taking Weke Rd. instead of the highway as there is not a lot of room for cars and pedestrians, especially if you have kids. Lauren was very helpful in planning our stay and also helpful in answering questions about Hanalei once we arrived. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. It would work well for one family or even two couples - the rooms are separated by the kitchen/living room so there is definitely privacy and space.

Clean & comfortable home in the perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We're so happy we chose this rental! It's located right across the street from the most incredible beach on the planet, and a short walk to the restaurants and shops of Hanalei town. It's on the quieter end of the street, where you don't hear loud pedestrians or parties etc. The house itself is really clean and well-stocked, with comfortable beds and nice showers.

The only "downside" I can think of is that the house is close to other houses, so you don't have a big private lanai, and you'll sometimes hear the neighbors' dog barking. For me, this is just part of the deal when you choose to stay in town and near the beach, rather than at a resort or condo. Not a problem.

Other bonuses:

--Lots of windows, with lush views of vegetation and/or mountain waterfalls from every one. You can't really see this in the pictures!

--Nice layout: bedrooms have their own full bathrooms and are placed on opposite sides of the living area / kitchen, so you have some privacy from each other and won't wake each other up when you get up early and make your coffee.

--Owner is really responsive and easy to communicate with when you need her, and unobtrusive when you don't. The house rules are basic and easy.

--Love the wagon to cart your chairs, umbrellas, and cooler (included) to the beach!

--Short drive to hike the trail at Na Pali, snorkel at Tunnels, or have a sunset drink at the Princeville resort.

We had the perfect Kauai vacation...Mahalo!

Great home

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay in the well located clean home near Hanalei Bay. The home comes with all the amenities needed to have a great stay including ample supply of beach towels and chairs, comfortable beds, beach bikes, 2 wavestrom surf boards, a big well equipped kitchen, laundry room, and a quiet neighborhood. The home is a short 5 minute walk to pine trees beach and a slightly longer walk to town - and very easy too jump on the bikes to cruise to town. would highly recommend this as a solid option for those looking to stay near Hanalei bay.
