About Dawn & Tim Rickert

I have lived here in Colorado Springs since 1980. This is a wonderful town with so much to see and do. We purchased this home for our personal residence and lived there for 12 years. Raising 4 children there we had too many fond memories to turn it into an apartment building or office like so many of the grand old homes of it's era. So now it is in it's full glory bringing more memories to other families getting together for family reunions, weddings, business and vacations. It's size makes it great to share, but there are many private areas also. It has been fully renovated and restored and is waiting for you!

Dawn & Tim Rickert purchased this house in 1993

Why Dawn & Tim Rickert chose Colorado Springs

We love Old Downtown, and still live in this historic neighborhood. There are endless activities close by. You can walk to so much, and driving from there has easy access to all parts of Colorado Springs. Because we lived in this house and there are many extra's that the normal rental does not have. We pride ourselves on attention to detail. Come stay and enjoy a bit of Colorado's history.

Beautiful interior

  • 4 of 5

Pleased with the house but concerned with safety on backside of it. I.E. poor lock on kitchen door and screened Windows on downstairs back of house.

Perfect location for sightseeing

  • 5 of 5

This was a unique house in a great location. There was plenty of room for our families to spread out, and the foosball table and the bikes got good use. We usually ate dinner on the front porch, talking with the neighbors, and dog-walkers as they went by. Great restaurants and coffee shops are within easy walking distance. So is Acacia park. Our grandson loved the playground and the water feature there.

Great spot for family vacation. Two great parks with play grounds for the grandkids walking distance

  • 5 of 5

The kitchen had a great assortment of cooking utensils. We used the grill three nights. Nice also to have an assortment of spices in the cupboard. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the front porch swings and watching all the joggers and dog walkers go by. Lovely neighborhood. (Granted there are a number of homeless people sleeping in the parks). Nice shops and restaurants just a few blocks away. We would highly recommend this house for a big group.

I plan on visiting this area a lot in the future since my daughter has moved to CO Springs and we are so thankful to have found such a lovely place to stay when visiting. The house accommodates so many people and you do not feel on top of each other. The front porch was where we spent most of the time. Great location. Absolutely loved the house and will be booking again.
