About Dawn & Tim Rickert
I have lived here in Colorado Springs since 1980. This is a wonderful town with so much to see and do. We purchased this home for our personal residence and lived there for 12 years. Raising 4 children there we had too many fond memories to turn it into an apartment building or office like so many of the grand old homes of it's era. So now it is in it's full glory bringing more memories to other families getting together for family reunions, weddings, business and vacations. It's size makes it great to share, but there are many private areas also. It has been fully renovated and restored and is waiting for you!
Dawn & Tim Rickert purchased this House in 1993
Why Dawn & Tim Rickert chose Downtown
We love Old Downtown, and still live in this historic neighborhood. There are endless activities close by. You can walk to so much, and driving from there has easy access to all parts of Colorado Springs. Because we lived in this house and there are many extra's that the normal rental does not have. We pride ourselves on attention to detail. Come stay and enjoy a bit of Colorado's history.

Great place wonderful people to work with.
Over all great stay. Helpful people to work with , I added a day and worked out well. Lots of space for people to play and relax in.
Our family of 10 were fortunate to be able to stay at this Victorian home for Thanksgiving vacation. It is lovely---clean, spacious, well-equipped and convenient to town amenities. The house has a welcoming, relaxing vibe and the owners were communicative and helpful. We were within walking distance of downtown and Colorado Springs' famous sites were within an easy drive. We would highly recommend a stay here!
Home full of character
Great time, great location, and large enough for a sizeable group!
Great location, lots of family fun, and plenty of space!
Colorado Springs was the perfect location for three families to meet. We traveled from Las Vegas, Utah, and Kansas. This home offered lots of private areas/spaces for sleeping and hanging out. We used the basement as a teen space, cooked lots of meals together (awesome pantry with stocked spices, etc.), & spent lots of time on the front porch. I loved all of the "extras" like coolers, bikes, games, foosball table, extra linens, etc. Located a few blocks from Colorado College in a historic district. This is downtown so there are a lot of people walking by and close to a hospital so we heard several ambulances but we always felt safe and the walkers were very friendly. We are leaving with wonderful memories and would highly recommend!
Loved Colorado Springs, the house and the location
We loved the Victorian charm of this house. Close to this house is an entire neighborhood of beautiful older homes which made for a nice walk.
Often the kitchens in older homes are on the small side, this was not the case with this house. The size of this kitchen with the eat-in area was perfect for our group. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparations.
We loved being within walking distance to downtown. That way when part of the group was relaxing at the house others in the group could walk to town to windowshop and people watch.
Once or twice we had a question for the owners. I emailed them and heard back within the hour. Very responsive and friendly.
If you like functionality combined with old world charm and proximity to downtown, this is the place.
Beautiful historic home with plenty of room to relax with family.
This house was centrally located to all of our many activities in and around Colorado Springs. The kitchen, bathrooms, and numerous linen closets were well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy the comforts of home. We loved the Bluetooth speakers so we could listen to our tunes while playing games and visiting with family. Lovely place!
