Our lake home sits at the end of a peaceful road on Lake Sinclair just 10 minutes from historic downtown Milledgeville, GA. The house is great for all ages. Kids will enjoy fishing, playing in the sand or jumping off the dock into the clean refreshing water. Teenagers and adults also like to fish, boat or water ski in the usually smooth calm waters in front of our home. In the early morning, as each new day arrives, sit on the porch or on the dock and enjoy a quiet sunrise and a cup of coffee. As evening approaches you may want to sip beverages and enjoy the solitude by the lake as the day slowly gives way to the evening. The daily singing of song birds fades and an orchestra of evening sounds fill the air. On a clear night, thousands of stars sit against the night sky likes diamonds on velvet. Enjoy star gazing, identifying the constellations, or waiting for the elusive falling star shoot across the night sky. Or, sit back, close your eyes and listen to the hoot of an owl across the lake or the sound of a fish jumping after an evening snack on the calm quite waters of this special place.

This lake home offers 3677 square feet which includes 5 rooms and 2 ½ baths on .78 acres. One bedroom is set up with 3 sets of bunk beds for the kids to enjoy!

This home has the largest dock permitted on Lake Sinclair. 50 feet long, the deck area is 16 x 20 with (2) 10 x 25’ boat slips under roof. Guests may have access to (1) slip with lift.

Other amenities include (2) full living areas, (one living area upstairs and one living area is downstairs) Dish Network satellite television, a large eat-in kitchen and long distance views down Rocky Creek.

Full size washer and Dryer in laundry room.

Boats may be launched from nearby Rocky Creek Park

Circular Drive for ample parking

About The Owner

Lydia and Marc Mousseau reside in Atlanta and are the owners of a design firm specializing in custom designed trade show and event displays. We enjoy travelling with our 2 daughters and love spending time at Lake Sinclair year round with family and freinds.

The Owner purchased this house in 2005

Why The Owner chose Metro Atlanta, Central & Southern

Private, awesome views, extremely comforatble and accomodating, spacious with living areas upstairs and down. Great for families. This is a true lake home stocked with extras, and not just a 'rental house'.

Close to historic downtown Milledgeville (7 miles) for dining, shopping and groceries.

Rocky Creek Public Boat ramp close-by (less than 1 mile), Superb water for watershiing and tubing right from the dock. Excelent fishing from the dock and in many nearby coves.

Quiet morning with coffee or evenings on the dock with family and friends will create memories that will last a lifetime!

What makes this house unique

Great views from living and sleeping areas year round (look for occasional deer across the lake and keep an eye out for Bald Eagles)

Awesome sunrises!

Covered porches with pleanty of seating, upstairs and down.

Covered boat slip with lift

Floor plan that works well for a vaction home

Comfortable beds make for a good nights sleep

(2) large living areas with flat screen TV's and DirecTV

Clean, calm water off the dock with minimal boat traffic. Great for swimming.

Sandy area with access adjacent to the seawall. (Great for the little ones to play in the water! (supervised of course))

Plenty of spices etc in the kitchen for cooked-in meals (this might not seem important untill you need them)

Infrared Grill makes awesome steaks and burgers!

Automatic fishing light dusk to dawn. Great for fishing or background lighting for evening on the dock with family and friends. Seeing the fish swimming around entertains the kids too! It's like an aquarium.

Excellent fishing right from the dock!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful home at Lake Sinclair.

Our families had a wonderful time together. It had been two years since we were all together, so there was much catching up to do. The children enjoyed the lake so much we didn’t need to go anyplace else. However, the visit to the farm on Friday was much anticipated and everyone enjoyed it. Marc, that was so nice of you to take the time to show us your farm and explain it to us. Absolutely fascinating!

Lydia, you certainly have a knack for decorating. Everyday I saw something that I hadn’t noticed before and thoroughly enjoyed the variety of art, pictures, antiques, etc. There were special touches in every room. My favorite was the small book shelf in the master bedroom. Everything was amazing!

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family of 7 children and 10 adults recently spent Labor Day week-end at this beautiful lake house. My grandchildren ranging in age from 4 years old to 13 years old enjoyed the bunk room and the downstairs living area. The adults enjoyed the privacy of the upstairs living area. We were able to prepare meals in the spacious kitchen and enjoyed dining on the deck and dining room area. The kids enjoy swimming off the dock and tubing. We also enjoyed the cove because of the privacy and it not being as busy as other areas of the lake. Lydia was very easy to deal with and answered questions timely. The lake house was very nice and clean. Just what we wanted for a wonderful family time vacation.

Great Family Lake Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family group of 8 adults and 5 children spent the 4th of July week at this spacious lake house. The kids all slept in the bunk room and the each adult couple had their own bedroom. The owners were great in providing responses to our inquiries prior to our lake week and during our stay when we contacted them about a power outage due to a thunderstorm. The kitchen was large enough for meal preparation and was furnished with all we needed for preparing and serving food. The living/dining areas on the main level were spacious and comfortable. The large upper level deck overlooking the lake was enjoyed by all. The large dock accommodated the pontoon, paddle boards and kayaks that we rented and had lots of room for adults and children. The swimming area off the dock was large enough for our group to enjoy swimming and relaxing on floats. The children enjoyed fishing from the dock, and the youngest (7) caught a large catfish (about 2 lbs)! The cove where the house is located did not have a lot of boat traffic and was an ideal area for paddle boarding and kayaking. The cove was also ok for tubing, but the kids preferred the short ride larger parts of the lake for tubing. Overall, we recommend vacationing at this lake home, and we hope to return again.

Wonderful Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first extended family vacation, and we couldn't have been happier with this lake house. We had a party of 14, and were very comfortable with sleeping arrangements and all accommodations. The two living areas were great for visiting with family, watching cartoons with the kids, or just relaxing. The deck offered a great view of the lake. We went fishing every morning and spent the majority of the day jumping off of the dock and tubing in the quiet cove. We were close enough to Milledgeville to run for errands, but far enough away to enjoy quiet nights on the deck. I would recommend this lake home for anyone looking for a well maintained getaway for relaxation.

Where to start! My family and my brother's family had this wonderful home for the week of Juy 4th. The home is large enough that family members can be together, or if someone needs a little quiet time, that is possible, too. The upstairs covered deck is right outside the dining area, making for a very convenient outdoor place to eat. The two living area were awesome, the kids/teen agers claimed the downstairs. The upper living area was the quieter hang out. The home is close enough to Milledgeville to make runs to the store as needed. We had jet skis with us and the shallow area at the sea wall was perfect for those and for the smaller kids to play in the water while the covered portion of the boathouse was a favorite fishing spot. We spent a lot of time on floats just chilling out! It was cool to have a couple of neighborhood dogs hang around chilling with us, too! They even barked - only if someone pulled into the driveway!

Graduation Memories - A Very Special Time

  • 5 of 5

This was more than a "lake house" - it was truly a "lake home" with the emphasis on HOME. Upon our arrival, the home was spotless, well maintained, and the extra little amenities like the courtesy flip-flops, fussball table, fishing poles, kitchen supplies, etc. made everything perfect. Clearly, a lot of care and thought went into furnishing this home for guests. Our gathering consisted of a few families and several Georgia College graduates and their friends that had all come together to celebrate memories of their four years together. They were all now going out into life on their own. Lots of fun, lots of reminiscing as well as laughter and tears happened this weekend. It was the absolutely perfect setting...the ambience was peaceful, calm and serene. This lake home was large, comfortable and homey. Everyone could have their own spot if they wanted. Two decks with lots of outdoor furniture, upstairs and downstairs living spaces, and the dock with chairs and inflatables. Even a blackboard wall where everyone left personal and funny messages for each other! The goal of our weekend was to make a final lasting memory into the lives of these young people as they begin "real life". We were definitely able to accomplish it thanks to the "home on the lake". I can't give this home high enough ratings. I certainly hope that we can someday return for another reunion in the future.

Celebration with family and friends

  • 5 of 5

I want to start my review with this... The house was much more than we expected. The photos on the VRBO website do not do it justice. Our party consisted of 10. 6 of which were young men ranging from 19-23. The downstairs area was perfect for them to hangout when they were not on the lake trying to catch the "big one". The dock area was a wonderful place to sit in the sun and read a book. It also accommodated the 3 bass boats we had. The lake house has everything you would need for a fabulous vacation. Lydia and Marc thought of every little thing to make it feel like home.
