NEWLY REMODELED, beautifully appointed, and carefully cleaned!

This unique, contemporary cabin features a spacious deck and covered porch complete with hot tub and outdoor heater. Harmony House is private while being just a short walk to historic downtown Black Mountain and endless amounts of hiking and other fresh-air activities.

This well-designed space features a warm, open living area and large, fully-equipped kitchen that opens to a beautifully serene covered porch and deck, complete with a hot tub. Harmony House is perfect for a romantic getaway and, with room for eight people, a great choice for family vacations too!

We live next door and can be available for as much assistance or conversation as guests prefer.

Conveniently located about 1/2 mile from downtown Black Mountain, Harmony House is a newly constructed home in a quiet mountain neighborhood just a short walk from unique shops, restaurants, breweries, public parks, swimming, golf, music venues, and more!

Harmony House offers its guests all the amenities necessary for a fabulous "staycation" while also just a short walk into town and only a 20 minute drive to Asheville.

Great weekend

Beautiful home conveniently located next to lake tomahawk. Host was present and checked to make everything was tip top. Left a lovely bottle of wine when we arrived.

Beautiful Getaway!

We stayed for a little girls trip this January. Laurie’s property is truly a gem in black mountain - just 20 minutes from downtown Asheville and minutes from great hikes, restaurants and shopping. The property itself is tucked back so allows for plenty of privacy, but is easily walkable to town, 10-15 minutes max. From amenities to attention to detail (hello welcome wine!), she’s left no stone unturned. The house itself is cozy but spacious so the four of us had no problem getting ready. Laurie was an extremely responsive host and was super helpful in helping us plan our trip by offering plenty of suggestions. Would definitely consider coming back to harmony house in the future!

The Harmony House Rocks!

My friends and I spent 4 days at The Harmony House and we could not have been happier. This home is well-equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The beds and linens were very comfy. There was plenty of hot water for showers. We really appreciated the small extras like complimentary bottle of wine from the Biltmore, the labels on light switches, the make-up remover and cotton balls in the bathrooms, the night lights and dimmer switches in the bedroom, the electric candles on outdoor patio. Of course, having use of the hot tub after a day of hiking was added bonus. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Laurie and Scott are amazing hosts.

Simply outstanding

We have stayed at A LOT of VRBOs around the USA for many many years. This is one of the most outstanding properties we have ever rented. Everything in the listing is accurate: super clean, up to date, easy to access, and the actual place looks like the pictures! Too often, pictures in VRBO listings are taken years earlier when the property was first listed, and/or with a very wide angle lens. When you arrive things are different than the listing. Every aspect of Harmony House was perfect. Super close to downtown Black Mountain, and easy access to the highway for trips into Asheville. I highly recommend this VRBO!

Perfect, comfy, clean, quiet

We were attending a meditation retreat each day and stayed here for the week. This was the perfect home to return to each evening. It was sparkling clean, comfy, extraordinarily well maintained, and had a well stocked kitchen. Laurie was communicative although we never needed to ask for anything or report that anything wasn't working. Everything was already taken care of once we arrived. I will look for this listing first the next time I plan to visit this area. Thank you Laurie for being such a great host!

Fall in Black Mountain..

The location of this home was wonderful for walks around Tomahawk lake, access to the downtown area. The owners thought of everything to make the stay feel homey yet special.. Laurie and Scott were never farther than an email with a tip or to respond to a question. We would recommend this home and area to any and all who want to have a get away in the beautiful mountains of NC.. Thanks Laurie..!

Perfect for traveling light!

Harmony House was absolutely wonderful! They provided EVERYTHING you could need; toiletries, towels, and wonderful bedding. Our family enjoyed how comfortable the beds were and how beautifully the house was decorated. A 10/10!

Harmony House is lovely and the owners are fantastic. We went to Black Mountain for the outdoors, but my kids loved the house so much that they wanted to spend a lot of time inside. We had unpredictable weather during our stay, so the house was great for entertaining both young children and adults. It was super clean and had everything we needed. We can't wait to return!

Perfect place in a perfect town!

We stayed in Black Mountain for 5 days after picking my daughter up from camp. This place is only 20 minutes from Asheville and has the cutest downtown around. I would highly recommend this place, as it had everything and anything I could possibly need. Thank you to Laurie for making our stay so perfect.

Lovely stay for a group of friends!

We absolutely loved our stay at Harmony House. The house was incredibly clean and comfortable. Everything we needed (and more!) was available in the house. Laurie was very attentive and quick to reply to any questions that I had. I highly recommend this property and hope to return one day!

Decorated nicely and small space very well planned/layed out. Super convenient to town. Easy helpful communication with owner. It is a guest house behind the main house that shares a driveway. (This was never an issue).

Long weekend getaway

We had a lovely stay in Harmony House. It is very close to the downtown area of Black Mountain and I-40. Laurie and Scott live on property and were available for questions but maintained privacy too. We had a great time exploring the area and realxing in the house in the evening. Excellent wifi too. Thanks for everything.

Five Stars

This is a beautiful little place to stay. Every room is exactly as pictured and well-supplied. The kitchen is equipped with suitable cookware and dishes for making your own meals, and the laundry room with folding table is very convenient. My kids really appreciated the games during a couple of rainy days, and we enjoyed our short strolls into town through the charming neighborhood. This is just what we needed for our little getaway. Thank you!

Everything you could need!

We had a great time staying at Laurie's place. They stocked the house with everything you could think of! Probably one of the most considerate hosts I've ever encountered. The location is near downtown Black Mountain & about a 20 min. drive to downtown Asheville. It was a great spot for us to enjoy NYE's. We appreciated the wonderful hospitality.

Best Experience for Family

As you can see all these reviews are positive. What more can one say? I can tell u we played games (so fun) got in hot tub. Ate good food. You feel so blessed in a space like this. Thank you both so much. Your hospitality meant so much to my family and I. So easy to check in. Such a great location. And beautiful black mountain. Free park and clean space. Idyllic mountain rest

This was such an ideal getaway. The property was beautiful and functional. Beautiful foliage and relaxing view from the huge hot tub! Two porches with places to relax and outdoor heater. The kitchen was great with all the gear you need to make a meal but there are so many restaurants within walking or short driving distance. Beds were so comfortable and decor was inspiring and cozy! Laurie was so welcoming and easy to communicate with. She was helpful and friendly, handling every detail. We’ll be back!
