Our favorite rental cabin

We are in the building process and so are traveling to Murphy frequently. This is our favorite cabin to rent. It's new, clean, has two king en suites, comfortable beds, fast wifi, covered parking, contactless entry and easy access to Hwy 64.

Awesome Cabin

We were very pleased with our stay. The cabin was clean and inviting. It had plenty of room and everything we needed while we were there. Thoughtful additions like a clothes basket for the laundry and the fire wood laid in the fire pit were appreciated. We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a great getaway rental near Murphy!

Relaxing getaway

Mountain retreat

Beautiful location in the mountains. Woke up first morning there opened the door at 6:45am and four deer bolted about 10 yards from me. Great weather for November was able to cook out twice and enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner cooked at the cabin. Absolutely Great!!!

A favorite

This is one of our favorite rental cabins in Murphy. We especially love that it has private two master suites both with king beds and full bathrooms. It's also super clean and well stocked, has new, clean appliances and a large TV with comfortable living room furniture for four adults. The hosts are easy to communicate with, and check-in is via a keypad and a lock box so that makes it super easy as well.

Our favorite cabin

We're building in Murphy and so have stayed in quite a few cabins so far. This is our favorite. It's clean, new, has comfortable beds, fast wifi, COVERED PARKING!, easy access to Hwy 64, no-contact check-in via lockbox. It's also a comfortable size for two couples vacationing together as it has two king bedrooms each with en suites and enough furniture to seat four very comfortably.

Lovely property, beautiful scenery

The cabin was well kept, with modern amenities. I had to use the desk for some work while staying, and everything worked without a hitch. Also, was great to have a cabin with a full washer/dryer and dishwasher to make it easy to take care of clothes and dishes. And the location was perfect, a few neighbors but very quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend anyone who wants to disconnect (or work a little too) to check out this cabin.

Quick stay in the mountains

My wife and I, plus my sister-in-law and her husband needed a short weekend in the mountains. This cabin worked out perfectly. The parking was a little tight because I have a bigger vehicle, but that was no big deal. The cabin was very clean and accommodating, plus the porch was a nice place to relax. Close enough to town yet far enough to see pretty scenery and some wild life.

Getaway in the mountains.

Great area, cool in the night and most days. Great hiking. Spent a lot of time up the mountain and through the woods. House is very nice with full kitchen and great gas stove to use. Outside on porch was such a good time with my family. Even had a barbecue ready to go. Close to great small towns, Murphy and Blairsville. Great restaurants. Less than 2 hrs to Chattanooga and Ruby Falls. Looking forward to another time there.

There should be an option to give more than five stars!

As we are building, we have stayed in several rental cabins in Murphy, and this is the easiest five star review! I wish there was an option to give more than five stars. So clean! Comfortable furniture! Clean, nice, new appliances, comfortable beds, uncluttered, quiet neighborhood, easy access to Highway 64. Lockbox with key, so no need to travel into town before checking in and after leaving. Highly recommend.

Cutest Cabin

Overall our stay was nice. It was clean and decorated just as seen on the vrbo site however the beds were like sleeping on a piece of plywood... very firm! Also bring a hairdryer. There wasn't one...??? A 4 wheel drive vehicle is a need. The road is gravel and house is up the hill and it's very narrow road. No where really for us to walk our dogs. Not much grass anywhere and the road is somewhat steep so the walk became more like a chore. Besides the road and the bed... it was an overall nice stay.

Lyn, thank you for your review. You did forget a few things. I let you check in early because you had nowhere to go with your dogs after you left the hotel. Your friend also stayed with her dog for several days without being charged. The pictures clearly show the gravel road to the house. Most mountain roads are like that so they don't ice over in the winter. Did you not look at the pictures??? The beds are extremely comfortable. If they weren't, my husband would have replaced them by now. I hope the next time you rent somewhere you can find a place where the neighbors don't mind you leaving your dogs on the porch all day barking while you are out and about. People come to the mountains to enjoy the tranquility and quiet, not to listen to barking dogs. Funny that you tried to blame it on the neighbors dogs who only go outside when he is out there with them. Our neighbors have been assured that you and your barking dogs won't be returning.

Empty nesters working remotely looking to escape Florida heat

We had a wonderful stay in this cabin. It is new, is stocked with everything needed in the kitchen, a nice porch with a gas grill, comfortable beds, beautiful decor, great wi-fi. The cabin is in a good location - about 25 minutes to either Murphy or Blue Ridge in different directions. We are giving it only 4 stars due to the steep gravel road (yes, I know there are pics of the road but the gravel goes on for about 1/4 mile and hard to judge elevation changes from pictures). We have stayed in many Murphy cabins over the years so we have a lot of experience with gravel roads. Also we did not have cell service in this cabin. (totally understandable this far out of town, but my husband was working remotely from the cabin so I will mention it for other users of AT&T).

Hi Eileen, thank you for your review. Yes, cell service is spotty all over the mountains up there. We have T-Mobile and we can get a signal in the LR and master BR closest to the road. I think the nearest tower is on that side of the cabin. They really need more towers and hopefully that is in the works. I feel we are fortunate that they just installed the high speed fiber optic internet on our street. You can also make calls off the WiFi, which I do so I can video chat with my granddaughter. We had a wonderful time at this lovely cabin! It was so nice to have paper products, toiletries, coffee, filters, sugar, creamer and some kitchen supplies already provided for us! High speed fiber optic internet and Dish Network on all 3 TVs and a DVD player with a wide selection of DVDs was much appreciated. We were so close to Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Helen, McCayesville, and Copperhill, TN that we were able to visit them all. We also made a quick visit to Harrah's Casino, which is right in Murphy. They have a bowling alley inside and a huge sports bar, if gambling isn't for you. The owners were wonderful to deal with and even provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine! They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome in their home and we can't wait to visit again soon. Next time, we hope to try the white water rafting which is also very close by, in addition to many hiking trails. This lovely mountain cabin really is the perfect location for so many activities, we are already planning our next stay!

Christmas cabin

We booked this last minute after our original booking was canceled by the property owner. This cabin was clean and comfortable and conveniently located close to my family and town. It was supplied with enough paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap and even shampoo for our stay. The only negatives were parking and pet friendliness. It was my husband, myself, our adult son and two small dogs. One parking spot was fine, but the second was gravel on an incline. Our tires would spin if we tried to backup, which wasn’t ideal. Perhaps they will pave this in the future. The only other issue was no pets on the furniture. We have lap dogs and they looked so sad the entire time we were there because we weren’t holding them, which they are accustomed to. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. A great place to stay if you only need parking for one vehicle and don’t allow pets on your furniture at home.

Hi Tami, the property description on VRBO clearly states that pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Perhaps you didn't read the description before booking. Guests who check into our cabin after you leave don't want to sleep with or sit in your dog hair on the furniture or beds. It also necessitates longer cleaning time for our cleaner to get the pet hair off the furniture and beds. Our own dog doesn't even get on the furniture or beds. The road to the cabin is paved and we have never had anyone say anything about the gravel adjacent to the house being an issue for them. Nobody, ever.

We just love Murphy! It is very close to so many places! Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA state line, as well as Blue Ridge, GA are within 20-30 minutes. The Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino is only 17 miles from the cabin and has a restaurant, a bowling alley and many other eating establishments inside! Helen, GA is only about an hour away. There are so many restaurants and places to shop in these towns, and they are close enough to do lunch in one town and dinner in another. Murphy itself also has shops and restaurants, as well as an Ingles grocery store, a Walmart, a Lowes and other stores that are about 20 minutes away. There is even a movie theater in downtown Murphy. There is also a Dollar General that sells almost everything about a mile away from the cabin going towards the TN state line. You are away from the hustle and bustle, but not so far that you can't get what you need within a short distance. You also don't have to climb 30 minutes up a scary mountain to get to the cabin. It's a short distance from paved Mt. Pleasant Rd. up the gravel road to the cabin, which is a real plus to us and why we chose this location!

We seek to provide guests the same rental experience that we appreciate when we use VRBO ourselves. It's nice to have toiletries and starter paper products already there, not to mention the coffee, filters, sugar, creamer, salt, pepper, etc. The one complimentary bottle of wine is just our way of saying "thank you for booking with us and enjoy your stay!"
