Tranquille (franska för lugn) ligger mellan Blue Ridge och Blairsville, i norra Georgia-bergen, omedelbart utanför motorvägen Ga 515/76 4. Privat läge i en säker, gated underavdelning men ändå mindre än 5 miles från shopping, restauranger, vandring och annan bergsrekreation. Bara några minuter till båtliv och bra fiske vid Lake Nottely, Lake Blue Ridge och Lake Chatuge.

Our home away from home

We had stayed here more than once and it is the ONLY place we stay when we travel to Blairsville and Blue Ridge. It is close to everything, easy to find and the place has so much charm. I would give it all the stars if I could!

Comfortable and cozy

I love all the whimsical yard art. Tranquille cottage is the perfect spot. It’s close enough to shopping and all kinds of activities or just a quiet relaxing retreat. We will be back!

Just perfect

Kitchen well equipped, furniture so comfy (including the bed), great bathroom! Literally the only thing I would change is queen to king size bed (but just bc that’s what we’ve been sleeping in for 32 years). Great couples cottage and close to town. Will def come again!

Favorite Vacation Rental

Quiet, peaceful retreat

Cabin nestled in a quiet, wooded area with easy access to great restaurants and the cozy town of Blairsville. Cabin featured modern appliances and everything needed to relax without worry.

Very Unfortunate

To start, I will advise the owner to take down the surveillance cameras they have on the property. These surveillance devices record audio/video and is a violation of Georgia Law and against VRBO policy. These cameras are not disclosed on the VRBO site description and even though I disconnected them, my wife and I wondered (and checked to see) if there were any hidden cameras. We also had two unannounced visitors one morning that startled my wife as she walked the dog. Nobody wants to be recorded or visited by the property owners when you are paying for peace and quiet. Second, the restroom had not been cleaned, and it reeked of urine. I checked the guest logbook and saw that another couple had stayed in the cabin checking out the Friday prior to our arrival on Saturday. I had to purchase cleaners to get rid of the smell. Very unfortunate to say the least.

This is one of the few places that is way more impressive in person than the pictures advertised. It's updated, clean, spacious, quiet, and a perfect getaway! The owners are wonderful to deal with and I will certainly be returning.

Amazing Cottage

This cottage and property are amazing! The location could not be in a better place. Just a short drive to downtown Blairsville and Blue Ridge is only about 20 minutes away. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Cozy & Convenient

This was such a wonderful cozy cottage to relax and shut out the busyness of the world for a few days! Everything was exactly as advertised including the heated floors, great kitchen and comfortable bed. We've never been to Blairsville and this was such a convenient yet private, secure area. We look forward to our next trip!

Relaxing retreat to the Georgia mountains

We had a terrific visit to the aptly named Tranquille Cottage located in beautiful surroundings for a relaxing getaway. The appointments of the cottage are all first rate with plenty of drawer and cabinet space for a couple to move in, unpack and enjoy the serenity. Fantastic time - plenty of interesting things to see and do in the nearby communities!

Lisa and I are both semi-retired but seem busier than ever. We owned and operated Georgia Dance Conservatory in Marietta; she was the dancer/teacher and I changed the light bulbs. Now that we have retired from the dance business, when we are not with our children and grandchildren, Lisa and her sister create art pieces (Sisters Art) that they display and sell. In my "spare time", I sell and install flagpoles through my company Mountain Flagpoles.

Our biggest enjoyment, however, comes from living in the Blue Ridge mountains near Blairsville, GA. Not only is the pace slower, the temperature is lower. Thank God for these beautiful mountains!

Tranquille Cottage is named after the French word for tranquil. Enough said! My blood pressure drops when I drive into the driveway and I am betting yours will too. Located in the "Land of beautiful mountains and friendly people", Tranquille Cottage offers the solitude of the mountains and, at the same time, the convenience to all that the area has to offer. Within 30 minutes are the Appalachian Trail; numerous waterfalls and hiking trails; three glorious lakes and an untold number of creeks and rivers; Richard Russel Scenic Parkway; and Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia. Within 15 minutes are wonderful restaurants, great shopping, and other special attractions.
