We had a great time in this cabin right outside of Estes Park and only about 20-30 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.

Property is clean but dated. No air conditioning. Nice kitchen. We enjoyed our stay but it was noisy. We could hear the people next to us and above us. Our son slept on the pullout sofa and neighbors left their porch light on all night making it hard to sleep. Room darkening shades would solve this issue.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our housekeeping staff will be happy to know that you appreciated their work. You are correct in that we don't have air conditioning (and it is not advertised) as many places in Estes Park do not due to being at the higher altitude. We hope you were able to take advantage of the fans and cross breeze. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the room darkening shades. Please, for future visits, be sure to contact us during your stay if you have concerns. We can be reached on a 24 hour line if there is something that cannot wait until morning. We would work to assist you with the issues mentioned. We do hope you are able to join us in the future. You are welcome to contact us ahead of time and we can help you choose the best unit for your needs. We would also be interested to know more about your dated comment. Feel free to message us with more details as we want all of our guests to enjoy their mountain stay.

Nice little place to stay. There were a few small maintenance issues that I did tell the staff before we left. I really appreciate the communication with the staff. They had made arrangements through the owner to bring my dog, but we found a babysitter before we got there. The only thing I can recommend to the host is putting ice trays in the freezer. There were no ice trays, and no ice on site. Recommend to any guests who will be staying here, if you’re going to be staying for more than a couple days to bring your own groceries. There is only one grocery store in town, and it was packed.

John: Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback. I will have ice trays put into the unit and thank you for communicating the maintenance issues to the front desk. We were able to address all your concerns. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Estes Park and we look forward to hosting you again in the future. Have a good day, Laura
I called property mgmnt telephone to ask for more coffee as I could not find the online request. The lady that answered said it was too late anyway and no she could not make a call o have any delivered. There was a nail sticking up in the flor by stove. I did contact a cleaning person next door and showed her the issue and she called a maintenance person to come with hammer and drive nail back in wood. The bed was comfortable but next time we will book a place with king bed. Living room couch cushions no support and I think couch needs replacement. We would also next time look at renting a newer unit.

Brian,
We are sorry to hear about not being able to deliver your coffee after hours. We deliver guest services between 1 pm and before office closing. After the office closes we offer an emergency line for emergencies only and could have delivered your coffee the next day. We are glad to hear our mantinence team was able to fix the nail by the stove promptly and that you enjoyed the comfortable beds. We appreciate your feedback regarding the couch and we will look into this. We have multiple different listings of units in all different, shapes, sizes, price ranges, and decor. We have more modernized units that are not that rustic cabin theme. Feel free the reach out to us next time and we can put you in the perfect place.

No sleep makes me cranky
The place was clean upon arrival. Nice location close to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Now for the not so good. After we arrived and brought all our stuff in we noticed there were no vents for A/C. Found out there is no A/C in the unit and they provide 2 really cheap fans. During our stay the unit stayed at 80 degrees until around midnight it would drop down to 75. We kept the only 2 windows that opened, open at all times , there is no air flow. One fan made more noise than air flow. To say the least it was hot and uncomfortable.
The bed is very old and worn out. When you lay on it, it would fold you up like a taco! Once we were both in bed it slanted to the left and we felt we were about to get dumped out onto the floor. The 4 nights we stayed here between the worn out bed and the hot cabin we maybe got 3 hours of broken sleep each night. Nothing like laying in a taco full of your own sweat. We were so sleep deprived we cut our trip short and left 2 nights early (which they would not refund).
Other notes there is no place to unpack your clothes and no where to set your suitcase full of clothes. The shower is dark could use more lighting in the bathroom. Did find 2 small roaches in the kitchen the first morning, not sure where they ran off to, but did not see them again during our stay.
Would not return to this cabin, I am by no means high maintenance, if I would have known all these things ahead of time we would have grabbed our tent and went camping for the same experience and saved a lot of money!

Jenny:
We appreciate you taking the time to share your input. We care about each guests’ stay, and the experience they have in our unit. While we respect your perception of your stay, and understand it is hard to enjoy your time when you feel uncomfortable, we don’t feel that your information is completely accurate. We do not advertise A/C so I apologize you made an assumption when making the reservation. The fans have been tested and move air with ease. All windows were functioning well. I am sorry that you did not receive a lot of sleep during your stay, and the pillow top mattress did not work for you. We have tested the mattress and are not discovering the situation you reference. The reason you shared with us for leaving early when you checked out was not what is stated in this review. We provide a 24 hour phone number for guests to utilize. We would have done everything possible to assist with the concerns you had if we had known about them. For example, we have different/additional fans available, various wattage of light bulbs on hand, luggage racks we could have brought to you, spare mattresses available, and even could have considered a different unit for you if we had known you were so unhappy.

It’s hard to not like any place you stay in Estes Park, Co.
Needs more storage for clothing if staying more than one or two nights. Having a place to hang coats, jackets behind the entry door would also be nice. View from bedroom window is not great…
