The Rustic Acre is a 420 Friendly Property consisting of 7 different 1 & 2 Bedroom Short Term Rentals. Responsible persons may partake in smoking of marijuana on your patio provided. Please partake in a discreet and respectful manor. No smoking inside any units.

This is our Sweetheart's bungalow. When you walk in you will be pleasantly surprised by the cathedral ceilings, Skylight and an AWESOME double sided fireplace. The fireplace can be enjoyed from the Jacuzzi Tub for two or from the Antique, Eastlake Queen Size Bed with custom carved headboard. Great Antiques. This unit has TOTAL privacy complete with a patio with great Mountain Views.

We call this unit Sundance Suite. It sleeps 2 . This suite is tastefully decorated with a rustic theme. With wood floors in the bedroom and tile floors in the bathroom, you know that this is a place you could call home. Double-sided fireplace in bedroom and bathroom. Also included in this suite is Cable, Flat Screen TV, DVD Player, hair dryer, iron and board, WI-FI, Microwave, Mini-Fridge, Keurig Coffee Maker (provide you own coffee) and even a Jacuzzi Tub for 2!

The grounds is equipped with a river rock fire pit. We have a Viking outdoor gas grill available for your use. Multiple decks and best of all, WILDLIFE.

Why Jason Miller chose Front Range

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Great views of mountains all around us and so close to town it is just awesome. We have been looking at Estes for a while now. This property came up for sale, so we took a family vote. With a 16 yr old daughter and 14 yr old son, I thought that I would have a challenge ahead of me with convincing them. Low and behold, 100% = Let's go to Colorado!

This property previously was The Black Dog Inn Bed & Breakfast. The Millers will be living in the main home and renting out the unattached units around the 1 acre rustic property. We are a very FRIENDLY property. We do not judge by gender race, sexuality, or political views. We all just want to Get Along.

What makes this studio unique

Located HIGH above the town of Estes Park, our wooded acre has a commanding view of Lumpy Ridge(a well known rock climbing formation), Mummy Range, and Mt. Olympus. We are only a short 5 minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. The footpath in front of the property connects with the scenic Riverwalk and also the 4 mile path around Lake Estes. This property has Luxury accommodations at affordable rates. We are only 1/2 mile from town. We love to hike and spend time outdoors in the wonders of Nature. There are literally hundreds of hiking and climbing trails minutes from our front door. Longs Peak, Twin Owls, Mummy Mountain, Twin Sisters, Lilly Mountain, etc.

Love at First Sight!!!

I booked this suite last week, for 4 nights.I stayed here alone, but it is perfect for two people. I have to say that I was completely satisfied. The pictures were spot on to what the suite looked like. Everything that is listed on the HomeAway site is accurate. I loved this suite, it was perfect. Very clean, cozy and the owners were wonderful. I felt completely safe and comfortable. The property was clean and well maintained.The location was also great. It's nice and quite, just a few mins away from town. The owners have a laminated info sheet on the dresser, that was extremely helpful. The list includes places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, hiking trails and other useful info. I visited Kind Coffee, Top Notch Cafe, Smokin Dave's, Ed's Cantina and Clair's Cafe. They were all great. From the food to the customer service. If you are a coffee drinker, please visit Kind Coffee... best Coffee EVER! I hiked Alberta Falls, which was beautiful. I also went horse back riding up a trail that was close by. I went through Sombrero Stables. I did the 2 hour ride which was incredible. This is the best vacation I've had - It was Perfect. I'm hoping to go to Colorado again later this year. I will book here again!! Thank you Jason and Joanne you guys were great!

Cozy and Cute!

This was such a cute little cottage and Jennifer was very accommodating. It had everything we needed for our two night stay. We really appreciated the restaurant tips and the hiking books, we took their advice and we were not disappointed. Sundance was close to town, just a short drive. Will definitely stay here again!

Very cute and clean property!

We loved our stay in the Sundance Suite. The room was extremely clean and cozy! The owners were very helpful and friendly but not intrusive in anyway. I will definitely stay here again!

Property did not meet all general safety issues. Guest Internet access was unavailable.

Guest Internet was worse than any other we have ever seen at an overnight facility. If you are an individual needing Internet access for business or contacting family this is not the place to stay. Our businesses and family had to be on hold for all 5 days.The owner claims the Internet was working just because it works for their household. Their computers are hosted by the server as dedicated users. However, guests are not afforded the same accessibility. Internet access is not related to the number of guests in town as the owner claimed. Our Internet accessibility did not change before or after the event the owner blamed for the cause of this issue. Owners should be aware that if they want to afford their guests Internet access they should discuss bandwidth with their provider. Had we known the low degree of Internet access we would have chosen someplace different to stay those 5 days. This was quite disappointing. The owner was quite adamant that our Internet was working after we reported it to him every day that it was not working. Jason said he had the Internet reset. But he never approached us to help or reached out to check if we had connection.

The owners were very nice to help with all other requests such as clean towels and even 2 plates, 2 bowls, and flatware.

Exterior electrical had multiple extension cords and plug adapters in use.

The front door was awkward at best because the storm door opened opposite the entry door.

The yard had not been cleared of pet waste. No doggie poop bags available and no exterior waste containers.

In conclusion, my goal is not to criticize but to help the owner make their property a better place for others.

Owner's Response: Dear Maribeth, Thanks for your review. As I addressed before no one else that weekend complained of the internet. I do apologize. We did reconnect ours in the house. My friend also that weekend had trouble with verizon and internet. Also we do have a yard worker who cleans up the waste left by guest who haven't cleaned up after their pets... Most people who have dogs carry waste bags or if not you could have called for some and we have gladly brought some over. Again thanks for the review and will look into providing doggie bags. THANKS

Beautiful location, great hosts

My husband and I had a great time on our honeymoon, staying at the Sundance Suite. It was private, quiet, and just enough space for two lovebirds. Views from our private deck were amazing, and the entrance to the National Park is only about 20 minutes away. Be sure to check out the cute little town of Estes (especially the Donut Haus!) We would highly recommend the Rustic Acre, and hope to make it a travel tradition!

we are only 1 mile from the town and four miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. 1000 feet from the bowling alley and a quarter mile from a great restaurant bar and grill called Cables. we have a massage therapist that will come and perform Massages in house. there are many great things to see in Estes Park including elk, deer, coyotes. Locals LOVE Kind Coffee. It is Kind to your Soul.
