Does not get much better that this

Luv It. It was a romantic weekend away from the kids and it could not have gone better. This historic home is right in Downtown Boulder and we were able to walk to Pearl St. The guest suite; Beautiful , huge, luxurious, clean, very peaceful, private. We loved the fireplace and the bathroom was as good as any I have ever seen. The Schuh family handled everything. The booking was easy and they even accepted our Visa card.

How fortunate were we to come to town and stay in one of the nicest homes in Boulder.

Great spot to stay in Boulder

Cool vibe, charming and extraordinarily accommodating hosts. This property checks all the minimal expectation boxes, and goes far far beyond. The kitchen/family room area is very cool, the bed and in fact all accommodations are very comfortable. The space is perfect. It's highly walkable to Pearl Street. Just loved it! And again, the hosts professional, thoughtful, responsive and are just wonderful!

We try to go above and beyond by offering outstanding value on a quality product. We are the most reviewed property in Boulder- by far. If you combine all the reviews from the 4 sites we use, we have 474 reviews. So thank-you again. Last time we checked, there are close to 1000 vacation rentals in Boulder. Everyone and their brother thinks they can throw a spare bedroom in the basement on a VR site and pay the mortgage. Many are illegal listings. We are a legal rental with the City of Boulder and pay all applicable taxes and follow all rules and regulations. We hope to see you again.

Downtown Boulder at its best

My wife and i really liked this property. We came to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary and the Five Star guest suite made it a memorable trip. We could walk every morning for coffee and tea and all of downtown is right there. The place is clean and quiet and the owners really went out of their way to give us dinner reccomendations and ideas. They even left a very nice bottle of wine for us. Thanks Kelly

Awesome

Wow. What a first impression. We arrived late with luggage in tow only to find the gate lights were motion activated. Thank you very much as it was 11 PM and snow was on the ground. We opened the door and all the lights were set for us. The guest suite was nothing short of awesome. Its the entire lower level of a $2m home in one of the best neighborhood in Boulder. Plus, yes it really is 2 blocks from Pearl Street! We crashed for the evening in a lovely bed with very nice sheets and woke to a new day in Boulder. The bathroom is top of the line and Jim really enjoyed the fireplace. Everything is thigh quality from the materials used to the furniture. Excellent value compared to a hotel. Kelly was great. Text her and she will get right back to you. Five Stars all the way.

Went really well

My husband and i were first time renters on vacation rental. This experience went really well. We were very impressed by the property and how clean and well maintained it was. Very peaceful setting to sleep in.

Richard & I are only the 4th owners of this historic Boulder home in 117 years. We have been on VRBO for 9years and have hosted over 500+ guests.

The home has been carefully restored and we are proud to be the next generation to carry the torch. Richard is a small business owner and I am a Doctor. The main part of the home is our primary residence, with the guest suite being completely private. You will have your own private entrance and bath as well as a fireplace and kitchenette. Why Richard Schuh chose Whittier

The home is our primary residence. Richard bought the property in September of 2006 just after the renovation. Every home flipper in town had looked at it until the previous owner pulled the trigger and hired the best craftsmen and trades in town for a top to bottom gut renovation.

Richard was in town after an Outward Bound Excursion and discovered the home while riding a bike through the historic district. It came down to -If I don't buy this home - I am going to regret it.

So he bought it and moved from Minnesota.

What makes this house unique

Mapleton @ 17th Street. The location cannot be beat. You will be right in the heart of Downtown Boulder and be able to walk to everything.

As well, the guest suite is very private and comfortable. The architect designed it to feel like a suite in a Five Star hotel with all the amenities you would expect. Beautiful artwork & furniture. Fine linens & Towels. Washer & dryer. The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood in the historic district 4 doors down for the 'Mork & Mindy' house.
