The sweet smell of a successful Blue Ridge mountain vacation is in the air as you ascend up the drive toward Blackberry Lodge. Nestled at the end of the road on a wooded lot high atop Long Mountain, this Blue Ridge cabin rental is charmingly named for its flowering and fragrant blackberry bushes.

The home's covered wraparound porch welcomes you and offers four rocking chairs overlooking the scenic front yard with a pergola and firepit area.You'll enjoy this year round and in all seasons. Around back, there are two large decks that span the length of the lodge. Cozy outdoor seating, a 4 person dining table, and a handcrafted wood bar top with two stools offer several inviting spots to take in the sights and sounds of nature. From here, the views go on for miles and the breeze carries the intoxicating scents of the local flora and fauna, foliage, berries and of course, the fresh, clean mountain air. The addition of a Tesla Universal EV Charger is free for guests to use and compatible with other electric vehicle makes and models, making it very convenient to re-charge at the end of your day.

Once inside the lodge, you'll notice the beautiful tongue and groove pine walls, the tall ceilings, and exposed timbers. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is to your immediate right and features upgraded stainless steel appliances and an island with bar stools, so everyone can gather around as you prepare your meals. The dining area is across from the kitchen and reinforces the lodge theme with heavy pine chairs, a farm-style table that seats six, and a chandelier made from pine branches and pine cones.

After enjoying a meal, you can relax in the great room that features several large windows, all with wonderful mountain views. Here you can also get cozy and warm by the heavy stone, wood burning fireplace. A deep-seated leather sofa and 2 recliner's invite everyone to kick back and reminisce about your day's mountain experiences. Enjoy streaming your favorite movies & TV shows or choose one of the many channels offered on the DISH Satellite. If you're not in the mood for TV, pair your phone with the Bluetooth Polk Audio Soundbar to stream your favorite tunes as night falls over the mountain tops.

Descending the heavy timber stairs to the home's lower level, you will enter the game room with vintage poster art, a regulation pool table with leather pockets that can convert to a ping pong table, shuffleboard table, classic arcade game machine with 400+ games and a 43" Smart TV. There is also a selection of board games, card games and a book library. A covered deck is directly off the game room and has fabulous mountain views that can be enjoyed from the swinging daybed or hot tub that seats six comfortably. The hot tub also has several jet features that are unique to each of the six seats, offering individualized settings.

When night falls, you can retire to the upstairs master bedroom which has a comfy king-size bed. The room has plenty of windows, large closets, a private door to the deck, and a massive master bath with double vanity sinks, Jacuzzi tub, and stone tile shower. Two separate bedrooms are on the lower level on the opposite side of the game room, with one opening up to the bottom covered deck. Both bedrooms offer a king size iron bed, cedar armoire and ample closet space. These bedrooms also feature beautiful and cozy bedding, to ensure a good night's slumber. Everything about this home is inviting.
