New reno, easy beach access, lagoon view

1408 Shipwatch Rd is a completely renovated (fall/winter 2025) one bedroom, one bath villa. Adorned in calming coastal hues, this stunning property has an enviable, central location on the island. Its right across from the newly constructed conference center and Cougar Point Golf Course's brand new clubhouse and restaurant. Take a short stroll or quick bike ride just across Shipwatch Rd to Boardwalk 6 and you'll be at the ocean's edge in no time! There are 10 miles of glorious beach to enjoy and you can ride your bike right on the hard packed sand.

The highlight of the villa is the newly renovated kitchen. This efficient kitchen makes full use of the space and is fully equipped with new appliances, plenty of counter space for meal prep, floating shelf system, stunning cabinetry. The bar top allows for dining or a convenient work space.

The spacious living room with high beamed ceilings and a large sliding glass door to let in plenty of light has a Smart TV to stream your favorite services, Wifi is provided as well as a comfortable sofa bed in the living room for kids or extra guests.

Relax in your private bedroom suite with a king bed and TV. Enjoy the newly renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower and rain shower plus handheld sprayers.

When you stay with ESPM for 3-21 nights (not available in low season, late Oct to mid Mar) you will receive a valuable credit of up to $280 (amount dependent on length of stay) to use toward beach gear, bikes, etc. Credit may not be available for last minute bookings, 48 hours notice is required.

As our guest you will receive:
Access to Kiawah's 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2021 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; the Sanctuary spa, shopping, dining, and family friendly resort activities including Kamp Kiawah. Free Wireless Internet Access; Local Property Management staff is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay. Property does have linen included. Additional housekeeping services are also available during your stay (mid-week clean or daily trash and tidy). Guests DO NOT have access to the resort pools (Night Heron Park, West Beach, or Tennis Club). If you have the time take a short trip (35-45 Minutes) to Charleston, America's most charming southern city. There you'll find world class dining, shopping and lots of history to explore.

Upon booking you will be sent a rental agreement to review and complete online. Your booking is not confirmed until this document has been submitted.

West Beach Heaven

A perfect stay at this small but excellent apartment. We loved the porch overlooking the pond, with the calming sound of the fountain and the views of birds, trees, and sometimes even an alligator. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The short walk to the beach is another plus.

Short stay at the beach

The unit was clean and, while slightly dated, well-maintained, We enjoyed the screened-in porch overlooking the pond and fountain. Access to the beach was easy and it was nice being close to the mainland. Bike paths were accessible close by.

Lovely and well-stocked and very clean condo - great location, beautiful island, loved riding our bikes on the beach and many paved trails. Pond fountain was bit noisy and detracted from the serenity of the porch. (Kiawah lacked ethnic/racial diversity.)

Great location for conference and new h

This unit is the perfect location for conference attendees at the beautiful West Beach Conference Center. It’s is right next door to conference center and across street from beach access. Downside is the bathroom is a little small and the air conditioning kept the main living area cool but not the bedroom. Other downside is this unit did not include access to pools on the island which was a bummer for our 5 yr old. Overall we would consider staying here again.

First time we had rented this condo and it was all that we expected. My wife definitely wanted the screen porch view of the pond with fountain and it sealed the deal. The 2-3 minute walk to beach is very nice and every day, this time of year, was like have your own private beach. The rental itself had all the amenities that we needed. There were a couple minor issues or recommendations but absolutely nothing that would prevent us from giving this place at least 4.5 stars. We would definitely rent there again.

So, the fact that owner should have addressed this issue weeks ago, I cannot recommend.

Excellent location for both beach/conference center.

I would highly recommend this location and everything we needed was provided. Nice having a equipment rental credit as well. Only thing I would like to see is the fees seem a little bit too high but I think that could be said for most vacation rentals during this covid19 era. Thanks!

Not only was the unit updated and decorated well, it had all the amenities we needed included washer/dryer, wonderful shower, dishwasher, stove and full fridge, but it was also incredibly clean! The location was ideal that it was close to the beach, a short 1 minute walk across the street, and close for a short drive to many food options. There was ton of wildlife that we saw daily including dolphins, deer and birds! We cannot wait to be back with the proper equipment to watch the baby turtles leave their nest and go to the water. We will definitely be back!
