We appreciate the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you, since you may be a guest in one of our homes.
Jim and Kjerstin met in 2010, and in 2011, Jim and his two kids moved to Bellingham from Canada to start a new chapter with Kjerstin and her three daughters, who at the time, called Lummi Island “home.” Our five children, our dog, our cats and a flock of chickens filled both homes with love, laughs, activity, fur and feathers.
Now, the kids are grown (and flown) and we find ourselves with more space than two people can reasonably use! We are passionate about both Bellingham and Lummi Island and can’t bear to let either place go, so we decided to share them with people traveling to the area.
Jim is especially fond of Bellingham, and appreciates living close to great restaurants and amazing mountain biking & hiking. Kjerstin is devoted to the Lummi Island community, volunteering for the LI Fire Department as an EMT & firefighter.
We lovingly call both places “home.” This is especially advantageous for our guests because our homes feel like homes and come with extra conveniences not often found in vacation rentals. (Our personal items are few and are put away to make space for our guests!)
We treat folks renting our places like we treat our personal guests - we may share baked goodies or leave a special something for your stay. We hope our guests will treat us, and our homes, lovingly as well.
Welcome!
Jim & Kjerstin
