Plenty of hiking, fishing, climbing, mountain biking,  rafting, and amazing restaurants within minutes of the property.  Not much local transportation is available--a car is needed.  Timber Creek Ranch is being developed as part of an exclusive community in Salida.  There may be maintenance personnel occasionally on the property as we improve the grounds and further develop the amenities. When relaxing with friends and family, please remain near the home and creek, as this property is part of a community with other land owners.

Beautiful property. Incredible views
The property is lovely. The setting is gorgeous. Salida is a surf destination in the desert. We had one issue with the fire alarm but aside from that the house and the town were so lovely. Look for the hawk who perches on the fence post every morning.

What an amazing stay!
My husband and I rented Timber Creek Ranch to stay with our wedding party for our wedding weekend and it was excellent! Our guests loved the home and property. We had such a nice stay and would certainly recommend it! We are already talking about visiting again with our whole family.

Over all a great house. There are a few things that need to be taken care of. For the price we paid the little things add up. Example, I should not have to pay for propane. Ran out and no spares. When you say you have AC, insure it works whether we need it or not. Telling us to open the windows does not cut it for this price we paid. Would I stay here again. Yes.

Great Accessibility!
We had a colleague join us who uses a wheelchair and the property was incredibly easy for them to navigate. Walt was friendly and responsive. The property was beautiful with wildlife right outside your door! We're so grateful for the opportunity to stay here.

Timber Creek Ranch is owned by Walt Harder and Harder Real Estate and Development. Walt married his dream girl in 1999 in Colorado Springs then moved back to her hometown of Salida, Colorado the following year. Dixie and Walt raised their three children in Salida then slowly moved back to Colorado Springs in 2014 for the kids’ sports and education needs. Walt still has a house in downtown Salida and commutes weekly between homes.

Harder Real Estate and Development is involved in residential and commercial sales and development in both Salida and Colorado Springs. Walt is also 50% partner in Harder-Diesslin Development Group which has done extensive development in Chaffee County and continues to grow that business throughout the region.

Walt most enjoys time with family as well as mountain biking, flying and playing guitar in the church band.
