My overall experience was excellent. The place is close by several restaurants and shops. The place was decent stay and spacious enough for 4-5 people. The host communicated outstanding and open to be available with any questions or concerns which was appreciated.
Good location, quaint and clean apartment in converted attic (stairs required to access space). It had everything we needed but wish there was a dishwasher since I was specifically looking for a place with a kitchen to cook in. Not super new or modern but beds were comfortable and great water pressure in the shower.
Beautiful space. Excellent communication with owner. My son and his gamer friends stayed the weekend and said it was great, lots of comfy couches and space to sleep and hang out. Thank you!
This property was ok, there are a lot of stairs from the parking lot to the unit and also the inside of the unit. The parking spots are very tiny a full size sedan car barely fit. They should add a tv and smaller sofa upstairs and make a small living area that way you don’t need to go downstairs if you don’t want to as everything else is upstairs. The property slopes so the inside of the house is uneven which was kind of strange. But the home was comfortable and would stay again if needed to. The host always responded quickly when messaged and seemed very nice and friendly.
It was older then we first assumed so it carries an older smell in the house. Interesting architecture. The kitchen is adorable. All in all it was nice stay. Thank you.
Roomy apartment in a great location, easy on/off I8. We're paying for cleaning service and not getting it. White socks were no longer white after walking around on the first night. Begs the question as to just how clean everything else is.
Absolute and complete disappointment. Nothing like the listing at all. Too many adjectives to use to describe. So much so, we didn’t give grabbing a hotel stay nearby a second thought. Perhaps suitable for nonchalant backpackers, but certainly not for a family of four traveling across the country looking for comfort and security. Appropriately tilted “Hideen Valley”, this property is dark and secluded, like something out of an episode of Unsolved mysteries. Total disappointment to say the absolute least. What’s more disappointing? The way VRBO handled our complaint. Particularly the fact that we paid for renters insurance, and couldn’t even get our money back. I guess you get what you pay for…and absolutely unthinkable travel experience.
This was a truly average stay. First, the most important part, not accurately portrayed in the listing: EVERYTHING is upstairs. Both bedrooms, the bathroom, AND the kitchen require climbing a somewhat steep staircase. The ONLY thing downstairs is the living room. Now, for the details. The towels were kinda threadbare, and SMALL. The 7 year old child in our group even commented that she’d never before used a bath towel that couldn’t fully wrap around her. I stayed on the sofa bed, which I had to make myself from assorted, threadbare blankets. The bed linens were so thin you can see through them and had what looks like some rust stains on them. Additionally, the towels and sheets were clearly washed in a VERY perfume-y detergent. As someone with scent-triggered migraines, this was not ideal. The kitchen was adequate. Very basic, but functional. (Though the microwave didn’t make a lot of sense, due to having knobs rather than buttons and no obvious options for settings.) The turntable glass was set inside, but nonfunctional. The water in the bathroom smells kinda sour, but wasn’t discolored or grainy, so it was likely safe, but we used bottled water for teeth brushing as a precaution. Overall, it is far from the worst place I’ve paid money to stay, but it’s equally far from the best. It is truly mediocre and adequate in every way.
The renter messaged me with access information before our arrival and responded to each question. A strong musty odor greeted us when we opened the door into a large, dated living room. I debated finding a different place, but my husband encouraged me to look around. Upstairs, the rooms were decorated with brighter colors and appeared welcoming. The kitchen appliances all worked great. The frying pan needed to be updated, and we didn't bring oil. Everything was clean

Uncomfortable
Uncomfortable beds with mattresses lined with plastic liner that crinkles with movement and sweats with the sheets. Sheets also come off overnight. Uncomfortable bed and pillows and had to sleep on the downstairs couch. Drab living room that is downstairs with the kitchen upstairs is a very awkward arrangement. I can not recommend this vrbo.
What a charming place. My husband and four children stayed Monday-Friday. A friend and her child stayed overnight Tuesday so we could go to SeaWorld. All of us were comfortable. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and we were so comfortable. The location was 10 minutes or less to San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld and the beach. We would love to stay here again; thank you so much!
