PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE DO NOT ADVERTISE ON CRAIGSLIST!

Are you looking for that spectacular, unforgettable place that you will just not want to leave? The kitchen has a La Cornue stove, fireplace and pizza-oven, a 12 foot door that opens up the whole kitchen to the ocean and let's you step out onto a deck that feels like an extension of the kitchen.

Walk down a few steps and enjoy the fire pit on the stone deck surrounded by flowers and the largest aloe plant you have ever seen. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink in the hot tub while watching the stars or the west Marin coast line and Pacific Ocean. The kids will have plenty of fun in the play house, in the sand box or on the swing set - or down at the beach which you reach through a private walkway in only 2 minutes.

A favorite ritual in the morning will surely be taking the 5 minute walk to picturesque downtown Stinson Beach, get a coffee at the coffee stand and a newspaper at the market and either sit down on the bench and chat with the bikers and other coffee drinkers or bring it back home and put your feet up and marvel at the beauty of the ocean.

The main house has 3 bedrooms and two baths on the second floor. Wake up in the king bed in the master bedroom, look to the West and see the ocean or look to the East and watch the morning fog lifting from the hills. Enjoy the evening in the beautiful sun room over looking the ocean or go out on the balcony with a glass of wine and a chess set and let the sound of the waves calm your soul. For a perfect day, light a fire in the fire place before you crawl into bed with a good book. The second bedroom offers a queen bed and access to a balcony facing the hills, while the third bedroom faces the ocean and has a twin bed with a trundle.

Only steps away, the cottage offers two more bedrooms - one with a queen bed and one with two bunk-beds (4 beds) as well as a full bath.

About Lovisa Rubin

We bought this property in 2003 and spent 5 beautiful years here.

Lovisa Rubin purchased this house in 2003

Why Lovisa Rubin chose Stinson Beach

This is one of the most beautiful places on earth, in my opinion. It is unique in the way it has one foot on the 60's and one in the future.

What makes this house unique

The beach, organic food, sunsets that will give you goosebumps and sunrises with a cup of coffee in the hottub... Incredible view over the Pacific, seeing the moon reflected in the ocean at night is a sight you will remember for a long, long time.

Fabulous Family Stay with Dog

  • 5 of 5

The location of this property is beautiful, private and roomy. This was our 2nd time here. Town is quaint and within walking distance. The main house with lots of beach front windows, lots of space indoors and outdoors, child play area, outdoor spa, private beach access. Good for families and small groups ( we were 8 and a dog). And Karolina and staff were very available, kind and helpful. We will be back!

Beautiful place for a happy family celebration/reunion

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at a lot of VRBO properties near the ocean, but this one is our favorite! We rented this home for a birthday weekend, and this house, its setting, and all of the things provided for the stay made the entire weekend so very easy and fun for 5 families. Things we loved!:

-- The owners are fantastic and responsive people who strived to make our stay amazing, and generously allowed our large party (with numerous children) to check in early and check out late. We asked questions during our stay and they were super responsive to our needs.

-- it's one of a handful of properties literally on Stinson beach, so the views of the ocean and constant sound of the rolling tide are unparalleled.

-- the house is literally steps to the beach down a little path. This path also spits you out right next to the Siren, a fun and casual place to get delicious food before or after a beach stroll (tacos, burgers, margaritas, beers, etc.).

-- we couldn't have asked for better weather DECEMBER 8-10 -- it was sunny and in the high 60s the entire time! This allowed us to open up the beach side of the house to the ocean sounds and breezes, and sit on the spacious decks for meals and downtime!

-- we had a "build your own pizza" night at the house, and although we weren't savvy enough to use the wood burning pizza oven, we made them in the oven. The home had all the kitchen gadgets and space to allow us to do this.

-- with people of all ages ranging from infants to toddlers, teens, and adults, there was something to do for everyone! The beach for running/strolling, a bocce ball Court, a clean and well-kept swing set, and lots of dining table and living room space for relaxing or fun activities (we made ginger bread houses and decorated holiday cookies) on their large dining room table and extra expandable dining table in the living room)!

-- the house had a ton of convenient and awesome touches like plentiful beach and bath towels, nice shampoos, soaps, etc., all stocked well for use during the entire long weekend.

Lovisa and Steve, thank you so much for working to ensure our weekend was happy, comfortable and so memorable! Everyone left Stinson with great big smiles and are hoping we will come back in the future! Thank you.

Wonderful Thanksgiving week stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this beautiful home on a bluff above Stinson Beach. The house has complete privacy with a short 3 minute walk down to the beach. It had everything you could ask for inside the house and in the backyard you have a nice deck with table, a hot tub and fire pit to choose from to enjoy the views of the beach and ocean and the lovely sunsets which we had every evening. It's a special property that we would certainly return to in the future. Thank you.

Couldn't Be Any Better

  • 5 of 5

Very warm, comfortable, feeling of being home. Spectacular ocean view, pathway to the beach, fire pit, jacuzzi, humming birds. There's plenty of space inside and out so even with a large group there are places to be alone. Extraordinary place, extraordinary value.

Outstanding

  • 5 of 5

This property is fantastic. It has wonderful ocean views and is only steps from the beach. The kitchen was great to work in with everything you need to handle a large group. We had 8 adults and 3 small children. The many rooms and bedrooms gave all of us as much privacy as we wanted and the common rooms and eating areas accommodated us easily. Our grandchildren loved the swing set, the playhouse and the beach. A memorable experience for my wife's 71st birthday.

Magical Property, and only seeing is believing!

  • 5 of 5

This is my dream house. It is incredible -- from the moment you walk in and see that amazing view, well we were smitten. Whether sipping hot cocoa at the fire pit in the cool evening, playing Bocce while listening to the waves crashing, or simply enjoying a glass of wine at dusk on the deck gazing out at the spectacular sunset, this property has it all. Lovisa couldn't have been kinder or easier to work with, and the house is set up with EVERYTHING you might need. And I mean everything... exceptional kitchen, comfortable beds, play equipment from boogie boards to kids toys to Apple TV, and lots of squashy couches and chairs for napping after a day at the beach.

We celebrated my hubby's 50th birthday with family and friends over a long weekend and will never forget the pod of dolphins we spied while having our morning coffee on the deck, or the turkey vultures checking us out from a nearby tree. We even had a nocturnal visit from a resident skunk while stargazing in the hot tub, but he was on his way to other adventures so he wasn't very interested in us :-)

Lovisa and Steve should be proud of this enchanting place. The only negative is we didn't book enough days!! We will definitely return!
