Spectacular ocean and city light views, is walking distance to the beach and downtown. Four large bedrooms, two bathroom with views from the family room, kitchen, master bedroom and bedroom/den. Professionally decorated with high-quality luxurious materials throughout. Great for family vacations, those attending nearby conferences, or for groups looking to enjoy some time relaxing at the beach. Permit # str-16-0542.
Absolutely no parties, no smoking or illegal drug use will be permitted. No more than 10 people may be on premise at any time. No music to be played outside past 10pm. Failure to abide by the rules will result in a $500 charge and immediate eviction.

Perfect spot for our family to be within walking distance to lots of shopping/food, but in a quiet area for relaxing in the evenings. Jason doesn't mention the VIEWS enough in his description! Beautiful.

Worked out perfect for our surfing family. Plenty of space for six adult size persons and more than adequately furnished and supplied with home use items. Parking in the garage and 1 lane of the driveway allowed two full size Ford F150 trucks and a bunch of surf gear to be parked and stored. Owners were super responsive and helpful with questions. Great stay. Recommended!

Wedding weekend

We enjoyed this unit for five nights. The size was great for six adults. The location was very convenient for Uber’s and for walking. The unit was clean the beds were very comfortable and the sheets are amazing. I would definitely recommend. We do not use the kitchen to cook, so I don’t know how well stocked it was.

Ideal location for Holidays

The property was sparse in decor in living room and felt barren. Area rugs would help. The lighting in living room could use dimmer switches for more ambiance or more lamps. The kitchen was poorly supplied in baking pans for cooking holiday meals. Better knives would be helpful. A roll up shade in kitchen would reduce direct sunlight. Water pressure in the guest bathroom shower was low.

Renter’s Opinion of house

Dining room chairs were wore out and 1 was broke. We were afraid to even sit on them. Living room couch was dirty and wore out. When you would sit on the couch you would sink so low it was hard to get out of it. 8550 BTU ac would not cool the 4 bedroom house it barely cooled the living room There were not enough bath towels for 6 of us; some were hand towels Several windows needed to be replaced because if we opened them the screens would fall out The timer on the clothes dryer did not work The fluorescent lights in the garage did not work which made it hard to see when doing laundry after dark Owner was hard to get hold of to get the Wi-Fi code and other matters Handrail on outside stairs and steps paint was off and the wood is very rough Didn’t realize this was an upper duplex Duplex needed painting The area was great but this is an older building and needed much updating.

Great property that's seen better days

Lovely location. Great space. Comfortable beds. Good kitchen. Unfortunately the property has seen better days as it was somewhat shabby. The online description and photos call it "luxurious" throughout. However, both the photos and description were deceiving as it was actually well worn. Having said that, we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Be aware that we found communication with the host to be challenging until I found Jason's direct phone number and sent a text. He did not answer messages sent through VRBO. However, he did answer text messages quickly so I suggest reaching out to him via text (Jason: 310-200-1814). We visited Dana Point on an annual "girls weekend" with a group of women from around the country. As always, our time together was wonderful and Dana Point was a terrific destination. I just wish the property was described more accurately and the host was more responsive. Keeping these two issues in mind, I would still recommend it - especially since the price is reasonable for the area.

Area great! Condo needs attention.

On the plus side the location is great. We love the Lantern District, good restaurants, beautiful view. Once on the property... The exterior stairway to the apt. was very dirty. The front door and screen were filthy. The living room blinds are shot, can hardly open or close and have broken slats making the place look shabby. The windows barely open. The DIY bathtub paint looks horrible. The garage door opener wouldn't work so we couldn't use the garage. I bought a new battery, didn't help. There is no instruction booklet on how to use switches and exterior lights. We resented having to take out the trash bins to the curb since our bins and those for the downstairs unit were overflowing. One of the beds was full of rice, so it made us concerned for the hygiene of the unit. Parking was difficult and made us resent the inability to get into the garage. The kitchen was well equipped and that was a major plus. Lots of showers were taken and had plenty of hot water. We have rented before and other owners seem to give more attention to detail.
