I love Kona for its relaxed island atmosphere, beautiful ocean, unforgettable sunsets, and warm local spirit. As a host, I want guests to feel comfortable from the moment they arrive and enjoy the kind of stay I would choose for myself—clean, relaxing, easy, and memorable.

I’ve put a lot of care into making Unit 221 a place where you can slow down, listen to the waves, enjoy the lanai, and experience Kona at its best. My greatest compliment is when guests leave with wonderful memories—and already want to come back.

I chose this location because it brings together so much of what makes Kona special. Directly in front of the property is Banyans, one of Kailua-Kona’s best-known surf breaks. From the lanai, you can sit back and watch local surfers ride the waves while listening to the Pacific just below.

Sunsets here can be spectacular. Sea turtles are sometimes seen close to shore, and on a lucky day you may even spot dolphins farther offshore.

The location on Ali‘i Drive also makes exploring easy. Magic Sands Beach is nearby, along with local favorites such as Da Poke Shack, restaurants, coffee shops, and Kailua-Kona’s waterfront attractions. You can spend the day exploring the Big Island and come home to the waves and sunset.

What makes Unit 221 special is not just one thing—it’s the whole oceanfront experience.

From the private lanai, you have a front-row view of Banyans surf break. Start the morning watching surfers, spend the afternoon listening to the waves, and end the day with a Kona sunset right in front of you. Sea turtles may occasionally appear close to shore, and dolphins can sometimes be spotted farther out.

Just below the condo, the oceanfront lawn has BBQ facilities overlooking the Pacific—perfect for grilling dinner while enjoying the ocean breeze and sunset. Nearby shoreline and beach access make it easy to enjoy the water and the coast.

Inside, Unit 221 has been thoughtfully renewed for comfort while keeping its relaxed island character. It offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a California King in the primary bedroom, a Queen in the second bedroom, a sofa bed for an additional guest, a full kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi, and air conditioning serving the main living area and primary bedroom.

The unit is on the second floor with both elevator and stair access.

But what guests may remember most is something harder to put into words: breakfast with the ocean in front of you, surfers riding Banyans, sunset dinner on the lanai, waves after dark, and a sky full of stars. It’s the kind of Kona stay you may not want to leave—and the kind of place you may find yourself coming back to again and again.
