PELICAN HARBOUR is a Great Property you are literally on the Water, step out and Wide Open Views, Exterior Stereo, Chaise Lounges, Seating Area and BBQ Outside (we do not provide the Propane).
Fish from the Water's Edge, or enjoy your own Small Private Beach on the Property.
Go Swimming, come back-in, the unit has an Outdoor Shower, the grounds have Garden Lighting. It is rather spectacular at night.
On the Property, the Views are Excellent....
Regarding Fishing Licenses, they can be bought here at any Bait & Tackle Shop. If you are going to be Fishing from the Property, they are not necessary.
Parking for your Vehicle is in front of the Property.
If you are bringing a Boat it can be kept at the adjacent Peninsula, we we have a 30 Ft. assigned Dock space.
For Launching of your Boat you would need to coordinate with us in advance. There is a Community Boat Ramp which is Free.
Parking for your Trailer is provided, space being available on the Public Swales.
We do have a Community Pool ( Not Heated) which is on the adjacent Peninsula; 45 Sec. walking distance.
The experience with us is a bit more Personal and Service Oriented, we will meet you on the Property upon arrival and get you settled-in and show you how everything works, the HVAC, the Stereos, Satellite T.V., the BBQ (we do not provide the Propane), Stove, the Range, and in-turn answer any questions you may have.
While you are with us, should you need anything we are 45Min. away, or next door.
The Property is extremely peaceful, and quiet, this is a Gated Community.
Along the Waterway you may even see some Manatees or Dolphins swimming by, lay in the Chaise Lounges, and hear the Coconut Palm frontons move in the breeze.
During the Day Ann and Her Husband, George, work their Crab Traps, they ride around on a 16Ft. Skiff, you cannot miss them, their boat has large Registration Numbers on the side. If you like Crabs, call them over, they will sell to you either Blue Crabs or Stone Crabs. And do not worry if you do not know how to clean them, Ann will even show you how.
Otherwise you can ask Ann for one of her Freshly Cooked Crab Platters, she will deliver it by Boat and serve it Dockside.
Great Place also for Kayaks, to explore the shallow water inlets around or explore in the Sound. If you are interested in renting the Caribbean Club close-by offers Kayaks and Canoes for Rent and will bring them to the Property.
While in Downtown Key Largo, Boat Charters, and Fishing Trips are available.
Kayaks can be kept at the Property.
Markets and Shopping are less than 10 Min. away, we provide Discount Cards for WINN-DIXIE one of the Local area Markets.
For Beaches, John Pennekamp (www.pennekamppark.com/) a National Park, is 10 Min. away at MM 102, OCEAN SIDE (Left Side). Traveling South look for the Overhead Sign. Great Beaches, with snorkeling opportunities. there is also Group Fishing which is not expensive, or Snorkeling Trips to the Reefs a little off-shore.
There is also Harris Park at MM92.5. Here you have a Man-Made Lagoon with Beaches, and Playground, and Picnic areas. No admission is charged during the week.
Restaurants are within 7Min. Gilbert's and Buzzard's. And for Outdoor Entertainment at Gilbert's they have a Great Tikki Bar on the Water, with Music, daily.......
We do also have a cooperative Agreement with Gilbert's Resort. If you buy Food & Beverage you can use, their Pool and the Beach. Please do note, they do not allow coolers, or bottled water being brought into the premises.
While Sundowner's is about 12Min. away, Great Outdoor Gourmet Dining with Excellent views of the Sunset. And Senor Frijoles is next door, with Outdoor Dining also, Tex-Mex Food and Excellent Margaritas...
And in Downtown Key Largo, Mrs. Mac's Kitchen is a favorite Breakfast spot.
For Laundry facilities we offer, Island Coin Laundry, 99607 Overseas Highway, MM99, at the Office Depot Shopping Center. Their Telephone Number 305-451-4575.
They offer drop-off service at $2.25/Lb.
For doing your own Laundry:

$3.50/Load - Larger Machine
Dryers +/- $1.50/Load - depending on contents

Theater of the Sea, Web-site; http://www.theaterofthesea.com This is where you can have the opportunity to swim with the Dolphins or the Sea-Lions, this is a Theme Park, with shows with Dolphins and Sea-Lions, snorkeling trips, Glass Bottom Boat excursions etc., etc.........
Miami Metro-Zoo, Website; Zoo Miami. This is the Miami Metro-Zoo site, which is +/- 30Min. from the Property.
Key Largo, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Web-site; http://www.floridakeys.org This is the Chamber of Commerce site, of which we are a Member of and does offer a myriad of endless possibilities depending on your interests. Group Fishing, snorkeling, restaurants, and other destinations. This is the site we recommend, to explore Boat Rentals and Charters.
To belong to the Chamber, vendors need to have some basic credentials and reputation.
If you are Renting a Boat, we recommend photographs be provided with your Agreement in advance, and as part of your Agreement should be included, if the Boat Photographed as being your Boat, is not available upon your arrival, you reserve the right to cancel. If you do not approve of the alternate Boat being offered.
Very important also, will be for you to look at whats the breakdown policy if at sea. (i.e. Towing and response time, replacement boat, etc.) It also may be easier for you to have the Boat delivered to the Property, the majority of these vendors will trailer and recover the Boat from your Property.
This alleviates you from having to Navigate through unknown waters, and canals.
From the Chamber of Commerce, is where we get the Brochures, we keep at the Property.
We recommend you book in advance for any feature destination in the Keys, as there are often discount offers for "in-advance" reservations. And with items like swimming with the Dolphins or Sea-Lions at Theater of the Sea, they book quite in advance, due to the demand.

What a nice spot!
A very nicely located unit in pristine condition with everything you need. Everything was exactly like the photos. Thank you Nestor we will be back.
What a great vacation!
Everything was exactly as described upon arrival. Location was excellent! Camper was clean and comfortable. Got to do a little deep sea fishing at Robbie's. We left a week before Irma hit and hope Pelican Harbor survived the storm. We have absolutely no complaints! Everything was excellent and we look forward to returning, we would recommend this place to anyone!
Exceeded all expectations
Everything in the listed in the add was right my finger tips as soon as I arrived as if it were my own home
The unit itself is dated and run-down with a fitted sheet to cover couch. All equipment inside,however, functions well.
The location is beautiful. We got some food fishing in
Outside furniture in various stages of disrepair with one chair completely not usable and a grill with only 2 of 4 burners working.
Disappointing...as the review is not accurate.
Have never quite understood being in this business now for 12 years, despite we repeatedly present to all Guests their ability to call for a service calls for minor repairs they do NOT.
They contend with the discomfort during their stay, say nothing, leave and then write a negative review.
After Guest departure there is little we can do to address issues.
Can say, we visited with the Guests twice, on one occasion they inadvertently locked themselves out.
On both visits, Nothing mentioned.
The unit is very far away from being runned down. Maintenance and upgrades are constant.
There is no fitted sheet on the couch, it is a furniture wrap to protect the fabric of the couch from, food stains, suntan oil, and sweat from Guests being outside.
We exchange this wrap with a clean one between Guests for cleanliness
Checked the B.B.Q. two (2) of the knobs needed to be replaced, do carry them in stock. A Fifteen (15) Minute item. The knobs take an extreme amount of Abuse from Guests as they are not familiar in how turn them. We cannot pin-point who caused this.
And with regards to the chair, of Seven (7) on the Property, found one broken at a joint. Certainly cannot say how it happened, or who did it.
This is part of the charm of this Business, few Guests admit to breaking an item.
We have to find them.
The Chair was thrown out.
And on occasions have experienced a Guest writing a review referencing an item which is Broken, which was NOT prior to their arrival.
Had a great stay! Very beautiful location right on the water. The camper was very much as pictured and plenty of room for three adults. Only thing I had an issue with was that the matress was very firm. This did not bother my husband but I'm just used to a softer mattress I suppose. Also, it was difficult to sit outside sometimes this time of year due to mosquitoes but plenty of bug spray will help! Overall very enjoyable, affordable stay in a very cute, clean camper on the water!
