Comfortable and cute. We loved the big porch in particular. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach but definitely manageable. We would definitely visit again.

Family retreat

Lovely property that feels very much like home right away. Met all our expectations and is our 2nd time staying there. We’re already booked for next year. Absolutely ideal place to invite family and friends to visit, or stay a night or two. Spent most of our time on the porch laughing and enjoying the view.

Perfect spot

The description and reviews were spot on. This is our new annual vacation location to create memories for our kids and grandkids. So happy we found this place. Deidre is a pleasure to deal with. Will be staying again for sure.

Great location

Lovely property with 4 bedrooms upstairs and master suite on the first floor. Their is a nice size solo stove fire pit with chairs and plenty of firewood great porches either open air or closed in there is also a rollaway and extra bed on the sun porch

Comfortable, quiet house in great location

Convenient walk to Short Sands. Kitchen well supplied with pots/pans and appliances we needed. Helpful to have a bedroom suite on main floor. Host very responsive to questions before our stay as well as during our long weekend there. Would definitely stay here again!

Great weekend away

Property was exactly as advertised and perfect for our group of five friends to get together. Plenty of seating in the living room. All kitchen basics were there. Beds were comfortable and having 2 1/2 baths was great.

The host replied to all my messages quickly. The house has great location, can see the ocean from the porch. Went with family and one dog, had a great time! House is equipped with all you need - towels, beach chairs, utensils etc. Has three showers and plenty of beds for a bigger group. Definitely recommend!

Great House and great location.

Great house. Ocean view is lovely. House is warm and cozy but plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen was welll stocked with cooking tools, dishes, cups, glasses and cookware. Beds were comfy and sheets soft and luxurious. Will definitely stay again!

Wonderful weekend getaway

This was a wonderful weekend away. We very much enjoyed waking up to ocean views and walking the dogs along the ocean. Our grandson invited a friend who had never been to the ocean. It was wonderful to see his excitement at all the firsts he was able to enjoy.

Fabulous home

We had a great time in York. We were there for a local college graduation and the house was plenty big for our three families. We enjoyed a lobster dinner on the front porch, overlooking short sands beach! What can be better. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

A Wonderful Property A Wonderful Stay

This home is a wonderful place to stay, hang out on the porch and catch up on reading, or venture out to some fabulous restaurants. I love that this place has an ocean view AND allows our pups to join us. And the air conditioning was a great bonus surprise and very much appreciated in the 80-90 degree weather. The owners are very accommodating. Loved returning here and look forward to coming back next year.

Very good!

Excellent house! Loved our stay & definately will stay again. Fabulous view, plenty of room. Needs a few more pots, garbage bags & lighter/matches for the fire pit outside. Other than that, enjoyed our 5 night stay!

Fabulous New Year's Vacation

Our group loved this home. It was so great to be able to bring our dogs, walk to the beach and the lighthouse. When there was an issue with the heat - which can happen anywhere/anytime - the response was super quick and everything was fixed ASAP. We would gladly come back here and really appreciate being able to enjoy each other in this beautiful spot.

Excellent!

Fantastic location, tons of room, very comfortable, and host Deidre was incredibly responsive. The yard was great for us (and the dogs!), the porches are awesome, numerous amenities, new cards and games, plenty of quality glasses, cups, mugs, plates, utensils, and some very nice Caphalon pots and pans in the mix. Giant dog crate was very useful as well. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Close to all the best local attractions and comfy during the rainy days!

We had a fabulous time. The house is well appointed with all the essentials including AC. The host has all you need to fill your days at the beach as well as quiet days at the house with games and activities. The porch was the local place every day where our family got together and the fire pit was where we spent late nights together. It was perfect!!!

We are a family of six - two adults, two teenagers and two fur babies! We love to travel with our pups and we all love being seaside.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We choose our homes based on location and this is superb! Not only is it a short walk to Short Sands (5 minutes) but you can sit on the expansive front porch with a cup of tea or glass of wine, stare at the ocean and feel that you are away from it all without going anywhere! Of course if you do want to get up and go - Long Sands and the Nubble are a short walk or drive and the artistic town of Ogunquit with its award winning beaches, shops and restaurants are a short 10 minute drive. The Moonstruck is brand new to us though her bones are many years old (she was built in 1890); we have spent 2020/2021 renovating her to make her a perfectly modern comfortable retreat while preserving all of her character & charm. Her updates include central air!
