Just a few minutes from downtown Banner Elk, you can find your own piece of paradise at Headwaters Hideaway. This enchanting home has everything you need for a great vacation getaway in a private setting with mountain views.
First floor offers an open floor plan with superb gourmet kitchen, stainless steel Viking appliances, Keurig, eat in area and a living room with two-story stone gas-log fireplace and Roku TV. The bedroom suite on the main level offers king size bed with French doors to the wrap around deck and private Roku TV. The attached, private bath features walk-in tile shower and wave therapy tub.
On the second floor is a queen bedroom with private Roku TV and a loft with two twin beds. They share a full bath with a tub and a shower. The loft also has a foosball table and Roku TV. Outside is a gas grill for guest use, and a firepit with chairs on the patio. Explore the community of Headwaters today!

Please read before booking:
All guests must stop by the guard house to receive your vehicle pass, directions to the house and a temporary code for the gate entry, and other information. The Guardhouse hours are 7am to 7pm Monday through Saturday and 9am to 5pm on Sundays. We encourage tenants to arrive during guard hours so they can help answer any questions. If you are unable to arrive during guard hours, you can call security and they will provide instructions on how to enter. Their phone number will be provided with arrival information 48-hours before check in.
**Photos up to the tennis courts are the private home; photos after the tennis courts are the shared amenities of Headwaters.**
Guests staying at this home have access to the beautiful amenities of the Headwaters at Banner Elk community. Some of these are shown in the gallery, beginning with the tennis courts.

- Adventure Park with campsites, tree houses, camp style grills, and fire pits
- Hiking Trails through the community and down to the Elk River
- Be sure to bring a NC fishing license and gear so you can enjoy fishing in the community pond.
-This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs (under 30 pounds) with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled with a 15+ day notice will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 8-14 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of their reservation payments. Bookings canceled within 7 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
