"Air" is a charming cottage located on the Bald Head Marina & the perfect home on Bald Head Island for a couples getaway, nomad traveler, or businessperson looking to enjoy the WFH lifestyle from a beach chair. Hi-speed Internet makes it easy to stay connected while taking in the views of the ocean and marina, or get out and enjoy nature.

5 min walk from Bald Head Island Ferry Terminal, restaurants, shops, rentals

The island is a photographer and/or nature lovers dream! Enjoy stunning sunsets and sunrises on the pristine beaches of Bald Head Island. The dark skies offer views of the Milky Way Galaxy you can enjoy without a telescope. -or- Enjoy a quiet stroll thru miles of undeveloped beaches and preserved natural forests, lovingly maintained by the BHI Converancy programs to keep the island wild and wonderful. You can often spot deer, fox, and even turtles - especially in hatching season (Bald Head Island is famous for its Sea Turtle conservancy program).

"Air" Cottage is very conveniently situated on the water in the Marina, minute walks from shops and restaurants, Old Baldy lighthouse, and across the street from a great spot to rent bikes, paddleboards, etc.
And of course, being at the marina, you get to watch the boats come in.
It's a 5 minute walk to the shore, and there's lots of shell-seeking opportunities to be had on all of the beaches that surround the island.
10 min cart ride to excellent grocery store, and more shops, restaurants, etc.

Once arrived onto Bald Head Island, "Air" is a short walk around the marina, or a slightly longer swim (please don't!). We are located across from The Inn at Bald Head Island.

Bikes are available to rent. Personal bikes can also be brought on the island thru ticket purchase with the ferry terminal.

Tram service can also be arranged at the dock for drop off, The "Air" address is 80 Keelson Row

Restaurants are within walking distance

Shoals Club access available for additional fee thru club. Located at end of island on East Beach shoals; includes resort pool, bar, and additional fine-dining restaurants. Available Tuesday - Sunday thru season.

The cottage was perfect! Had everything we needed. There were even beach chairs, an umbrella and shibumi sun shade. Golf cart worked great for getting around! Wished we could have stayed longer!

Definitely recommend for a trip to Bald Head

We really enjoyed our stay here! Close to the ferry and central to most of the main food options on the island. The fact the golf cart is included too is a great touch and makes getting around very easy. Highly recommend!

The place is perfect for an individual or a couple. Overlooks the Marina and close to everything you'd want to see (lighhouse, restaurants, market, beaches, etc). Bald Head is a beautiful spot and in the off-season it's a great place to get away.

Great Location, Comfortable Cottage

My wife and I stayed in the "Air" for a week and enjoyed the location, the size, the views, the golf cart, and amenities. The marina is right around the corner as are some fun and tasty restaurants. There're many beach access locations either walkable or by golf cart and the Market & Shops are a short golf cart ride away. We'd stay here again.

Beautiful Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was a perfect long weekend get-away for my husband and myself. The check in process was simple. The place was very nice. The golf cart and the rain covers made it really nice for the cool breeze.

Perfect getaway

Very clean, well stocked, great location, and lovely views! The room is spacious and very pretty and the location is great - close to restaurants and ferry. Adam was a helpful host and very responsive to questions. We plan to book it again!

Adorable cottage

The location was perfect, with easy access to all the activities and amenities nearby. The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a lovely home away from home. Being close to the beach and surrounded by stunning wildlife while exploring on the golf cart made for an unforgettable experience. Great couples getaway!

This was a great location for our first trip to Bald Head Island! Communication with property manager and check in/out process was great. ‘Air’ was nicely furnished/decorated. We enjoyed having an easy walk to everything around the marina and having the golf cart to easily get to all the different beach accesses and other areas of the island. We would definitely stay here again.
