The perfect relaxing getaway!

This early 1900's cottage has been tenderly and tastefully restored creating a private and captivating retreat for you and your loved one. You'll sense the effort to anticipate your requirements for a memorable and replenishing stay, including a bottle of wine and chocolate inviting a toast to 'your' stay.

Entering the upper level from the front deck, you are greeted by the bright, cheery dinette, efficient kitchen, and only bathroom, with it's built in cast iron bathtub. The large west side deck expands upstairs relaxation options. Downstairs enjoy the living room view of the garden, cozy Vermont Castings fireplace, a full compliment of TV viewing options, and comfortable seating. master bedroom, small second twin bed bedroom, and laundry are also downstairs. access to the garden is from living room.

Front and rear decks surrounded by ancient oaks and pine, plus a charming flower garden, enhance the ambiance of this very private cottage.

The crisp ocean air will greet you morning and evening. All your senses will be heightened as you listen to the distant bark of seals and crashing waves. Deer walk through your front yard along with racoons, squirrel, wild turkey, and the ever darling covey of quail. A myriad birds alone provide hours of entertainment.

Enjoy the king size bed, and cozy gas fireplace after a day of exploring.

Walk night or day to the ocean and hunt for wildlife in the tide pools where you can sit and watch the otters, humpback whales, and dolphins (seasonal). Bring your comfy shoes - it is uphill on the way back but it's worth it!

If you must work we have hi speed internet and telephone.

The cable TV offers nearly all the premium channels and we stock the cottage with everything you'll need. If you forget something, the quaint village of Cambria is just a 5 minute drive.

One note for our tall guests. This cottage was built around 1907 and some tall guests (over 6'1) may have to duck through doorways. For the comfort of all our guests there is no smoking in or around the unit.

Serene Paradise

This charming cottage exceeded our expectations. The property and surrounding area are lovely and peaceful, providing a welcome slower change of pace from daily demands. Charmed by local wild life including elephant seals and deer we got to experience the best of both worlds from enchanted forest trails to the majestic sea. The cottage generously meets every need in abundance. Property owners are kind and excellent communicators. Highly recommend staying at this slice of heaven!

Comfy Cottage

What a Great Place to stay!!! Great location near downtown, (east & west) and walking areas. Very comfy and private cottage with most everything you could need for your stay. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. We spent days eating, relaxing, watching movies, reading and just enjoying the cottage. We spent a week and enjoyed every moment! We hope to go back again.

The Perfect Spot

My best friend and I stayed at this cottage last year for the first time. We decided to come back a second time. Looks like we are starting a new tradition! This place is the perfect combination of location, comfort, amenities, and affordability. It does have stairs, so for those who need better accessibility, that is something to consider. Hope to visit again in 2025!

First time at the Pacific Ocean

This was the perfect spot to relax after traveling for 2 weeks. The views of the ocean from the parks and Moonstone Beach were great. The elephant seals were an amazing sight.

Lovely Getaway

The cottage provided us a lovely place to stay in one of our favorite places to get away: quiet, private, immaculate, and caringly maintained. The only potential problem being that the bathroom is on a different level than the bedroom (weak bladders and old, unsteady legs look elsewhere). Sharon and Don have thought of literally everything else: luxurious linens, choice of wine,wellstocked kitchen and caring details throughout - feels like a home away from home.

Property was fine. Good location near Fiscalini beach walk. TV and controls not working properly; might have been a battery issue, but some streaming service seemed inaccessible. I’m sure an easy fix! Overall great, though, and would stay there again!

Sweet Cottage

This was the perfect place for our girls’ getaway! The Cottage is affordable, in a great location (out of the way, yet just a short drive to town), well appointed, well stocked (so many towels and blankets!), comfortable, clean, and just lovely. The only negative is that the bathroom and bedroom are on separate floors, but some places have their quirks, and it’s quite doable. The hosts were super accommodating, kind, and helpful. We hope to stay again!!

A home away from home

Such a cute & comfy cottage!!! It was great to have a full kitchen for a quick breakfast before we started our day. Everything, from towels to blankets to kitchen essentials, was well stocked beyond our expectations. The living room was awesome, the fireplace made it even more cozy. It was like coming home after the days adventures! We will definitely like to stay here next time we visit SLO County!!

Spring getaway

A curious small cottage in a quiet neighborhood. The weather was good for many hikes in and around Cambria. The pictures in the listing of the interior are different from what it currently looks like. Furniture has been added and makes it crowded. Guests who are regular nighttime bathroom users need to anticipate a long walk to the upstairs bathroom. There is no bathroom near the bedroom downstairs as mentioned in the descriptive part of this listing. The large collection of DVD's was fun to explore and watching a few classics was enjoyable. The purpose of 4 trashcans in the kitchen is still a mystery.

Spectacular Garden Window

This cottage is so cute and quaint. The layout is quirky yet everything is as shown and explained in the listing. Two beautiful decks PLUS an outdoor garden. For me, the amazing unique garden window was the highlight. It’s so unique bringing the outside in. My stay was cut short due to some issues in the cottage following historic CA rainstorm. The owner was kind and generous and incredibly communicative. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Lovers Cottage again.
