Tahoe City

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The beach was a short walk from the cabin and a nice place to spend a day at the lake. The hot tub was a plus after a long day hiking or just needing to relax.

Great Stay!

Overall the property was very nice and very pretty. The location was perfect since it’s a 10 minute walk down to the lake and the hot tub was perfect. The stairs are a bit steep to step down, but overall the rooms are comfortable! Would recommend!

Lovely family vacation in Tahoe

The house was lovely for my parents and I. Very clean inside, clear instructions, great communication and accommodating. Issues were minor: smallest dog escaped under the gate, another dog got hit by a pine cone falling from the tree, stairs were too narrow for my elderly parents. Overall an excellent stay and hope to stay here again in the future.

Lovely spot and great host

This is a cute house in a lovely neighborhood by the lake. Great location just a few minutes from Tahoe City and half hour from Northstar. Although we were challenged by the snowstorm and unable to benefit from the jacuzzi, backyard, and fireplace, the owners were responsive and flexible. I would not recommend coming in the peak season since those days were massively over priced, but otherwise a wonderful experience!

cozy bear cabin

Unfortunately all the propane tanks for the BBQ and firepit were empty. We did have 1 brought to us within the hour so we could cook our steaks for dinner. The guest bathrooms shower head is in dire need of replacement as well as the metal strip entering that shower. The staicase was a bit treacherous but, other than that a cute comfy little place.

Darling Tahoe City area Cottage

This cabin/cottage was everything we needed for our family of 4 (2 adults, 18yo boy and 15 yo girl)! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The most important thing on vacation to us is bed comfort, especially challenging when you have a Tall family. If you cannot sleep, how can you enjoy your trip? The beds were very comfortable (supportive and soft at the same time) and we slept very well. I didn't feel bounced around like I do in some rentals (when my husband rolls over in bed for example). The fenced yard was really helpful so we could allow our dog to roam and sniff. It was easy to keep an eye on him from the house. The hot tub was perfect relief after a long day of skiing and we enjoyed the trees and stars. The kitchen had everything and more. We cooked a few nights and it was perfect. Prior guests commented on the narrow stairs going to the 2 BR's upstairs but my 6'8" son with size 14 shoe didn't have any problems or complaints! The neighborhood was very quiet. It's a very quick drive to Tahoe City amenities. We skied at Palisades but there is also a cross-country/snow shoeing hill just down the road if you want something more mellow. The hosts were extremely helpful, flexible, communicative and responsive. Guests could enjoy this cottage year round. I'd love to return in the summer. It is an easy walk to the lake (which you can see from the foot of the driveway by the way). Very charming, comfortable, and perfect for our family of four! THANK YOU!

Amazing dog-friendly location and cabin!

We loved the neighborhood, proximity to the lake and dog beach, and awesome area in which this cabin was located. Communication with the host was seameless, and they were very accomodating. Such a great option for a Tahoe stay with pups!

From The Owners: We bought this storybook Tahoe City cabin to have a place to enjoy and share with friends and our wonderful dog Cody. We loved the fenced in backyard for pets as this is rarity in Tahoe. The house is great for summer and winter stays with its proximity to the lake and skiing. Growing up in the Bay Area and visiting Tahoe each summer, it was always a dream to be able to live in this mountain paradise. We hope that you enjoy your stay and find this house as cute and charming as we do.
