Welcome to Cody Bear Cabin!
1470 SQFT | 3 BEDROOMS | Walk to Lake | Large Backyard | Dog-Friendly | Hot Tub
Enter right into the great room, a wonderful space for the entire family to relax after a day at the beach or on the mountain!
The main floor of the house includes the living/dining/kitchen and great room along with the master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. The second bathroom and laundry room are also on the main floor. (This means that there is no bathroom on the second level with the two extra bedrooms)
On the second level, there is a queen bedroom and a king bedroom. Please note, the staircase is a classic Tahoe staircase: Narrow and can be tough to navigate in the dark or for anyone with mobility issues and there is no bathroom upstairs. (Including any older pups that may not do well with stairs!)
This home is most comfortable for 6 adults but the king bedrooms have extra space available for a pack 'n play (or other creative ways to sleep kiddos!) should you be traveling with small children. Please note that this is a classic Tahoe cabin and will have some creaks and groans. Sound can travel between first and second floor rather easily.
The backyard is fenced and fantastic for your pups and your whole family! The big patio table with 6 comfortable chairs is wonderful for leisurely evening dinners al fresco. The flat, fenced, open backyard also features a large hot tub that is available year round as well as a gas fire pit with cozy chairs and an outdoor shower to rinse off before you tub or after a sandy day at the beach. (Please note: BBQ, Fire pit and patio furniture are stored for the winter season)

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Our house is excellent for dogs! There is a pet fee of $25 for 1 dog or $60 for 2 or more. If you are bringing more than one dog we will request the remaining pet fee from you after your reservation is confirmed (the $25 fee will already be included it you tell the system you are bringing pets). We welcome up to 3 furry friends here, but since this is first and foremost a house for humans, we ask that you help them with some basic manners.
- Dogs are NOT permitted on the furniture in any way (Not with your own blankets from home or even if they are hypoallergenic)
- Please bring a crate with you and crate you dog(s) if they will be left at home for any reason
- Please pick up after your pets around the home and surrounding back trail area
- Please be courteous of neighborhood pets, as most Tahoe dogs will be off leash
- The yard is fenced, but it is best not to leave your pup alone back there as we can't guarantee that it is 100% secure
- This is coyote country and they are really good at luring pups into their pack - so keep a close eye on your fur baby!
EXCESSIVE TRASH FEE
Please be advised that there is a $200 excessive trash/disposal fee added to the cleaning fee if trash is left behind and not placed in the bear box correctly. To close bear box you HAVE to secure both the top and bottom latches. You can use your knee to push in the bottom part of the door, and then make sure both latches are fully engaged. If you have any questions or issues, please contact us prior to checkout.
A Transient Occupancy Tax is included in your reservation.
Please note that this rental does require purchasing short term vacation rental insurance for stays up to 29 nights (reservations longer than 29 nights will need to discuss insurance options with Tahoe Cohost Collective prior to booking). The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury, if the fee has been paid. Complete terms regarding the Trust and Safety coverage can be found at www. go.safely .com/tahoecohostcollective. The Trust and Safety Fee is refundable only if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible or minimum claim amount will be the responsibility of the Guest, and Tahoe Cohost Collective will process using the form of payment on file for Guest.
The hot tub cleaning fee is included in your reservation's cleaning fee.
Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try and accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.
