Great home, wonderful views, great location!
We came to town to see my friends and family and attend my HS reunion. We came with our 21 month old twins and parents. The home was perfect for a small family and had plenty of toys for children. The location being beachfront made it perfect for having little kids and being able to go on an off of the beach for whatever the kids needed. We really enjoyed our stay! The only regret is we did not rent the home longer. We will be back!
Awesome Beach House
We completely loved staying in this beach house. The house is very well maintained. Some of the things we loved about it were the screened porch and the beautiful view of the ocean. We spent a lot of time on the porch, since the weather was a bit hit and miss. An unusual cold front moved across much of the country during this time. We adored the no light pollution policy on Folly. On clear nights, the stars were abundant, clearly-visible and magical. The house has everything you would need. Because the weather was not so good some of our stay, we watched movies via our Netflix account. The internet did not pick up great in the first bedroom near the back door, but it was very good near the tv in the living room and allowed us to stream content. You can stand in the kitchen and look across to the living room and out two large windows toward the beach. The ceiling is vaulted in the living room with two skylights, so there is lots of natural light. The beach here is gorgeous and stretches a long way for nice relaxing walks. We enjoyed eating at Lost Dog Cafe. Our favorite restaurant in Charleston was Magnolia's. The drive into Charleston takes about 20-25 minutes. Eleanor is a great host and is easily accessible. We would definitely return.
Very nice Beach House!
Nice Owner and accommodations.
Clean, perfect location
This property was right on the beach allowing you to easily enjoy beautiful sunrises, beach time and relaxation. We felt safe and property was well furnished and clean. Started items like dish soap, laundry soap and garbage bags were available. Also items like aluminum foil, ziplock bags and paper towel were in kitchen for our use (possibly from last few visitors, not necessarily standard). Beds were comfortable, sheets and blankets were clean and smelled nice. Dishwasher was available but took a long time to run. Plenty of pots and pans, strainer, plates, etc to cook meals but pier and downtown Folly was 1 mile, making for a nice walk on the beach to get to breakfast at Lost Dog or dinner at any of the restaurants downtown. Parking was hard downtown so we liked that we had the walking option. Eleanor was also super responsive to questions we had before and during our trip. Would have liked the bunks in the one room to be more comfortable. One shower can be difficult with a number of people but having the extra toilet to use helped a lot.
We had a wonderful time in this home. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing and listening to the ocean. The home was very well kept and kitchen had everything we needed for making dinner in. So sad to leave.
Wonderful. Great house! Views and will booked again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
