We love our stay at the cabin! The cabin had everything you need to enjoy and have a great time. Everything was cleaned, the beds were comfortable. We loved seeing occasional deer around the property and the gas fire place.

Great location and convenient to Blue Ridge. Had everything to make our stay enjoyable. We did see a few deer. The waterfall needed some water to operate and there was a hose around back, so I added some water and it was awesome. We had two small dogs that loved the fenced in yard and wrap around deck. Will definitely come back for a longer stay.

We had a great time. Spacious cabin it had everything you need from the extra blankets to everything you will need to cook a meal in the kitchen. Everything in the kitchen is labeled which I thought was a special touch. The kids enjoyed the hot tub after a hike around the property. Great place to unwind. The drive was scenic. No need of a 4x4.

Thank you for staying with us at Tumnus Ridge and we appreciate your kind review! We are happy you enjoyed your stay and had everything you needed for a great time and a place to unwind. We hope to host you again soon!
We highly recommend this ultra clean, well-appointed cabin just a couple of short hours from the city. EBR makes check-in easy and are always available. We will definitely use them again - I even spent a couple of hours looking at their properties while we were there. Not only was the cabin just as listed and exceeded our expectations for cleanliness and amenities, but also filled with special touches, like dog bowls and bed for our senior terrier, and a very fun set-up for our seven-year-old. We appreciated the instructions providing just the right amount of information without feeling pushy. The fireplace, hot tub, outdoor fire pit with waterfall, and fireplace porch are all great. The cabin feels like it was built around the activities you want to do there. Finally, this is personal, but we enjoyed the art, books, games, and decor, and felt very comfortably welcome. We look forward to our next visit.

Joy, thank you so much for your fabulous review of Tumnus Ridge. We are so thrilled that your little terrier had the comforts of home during your stay. The fire pit with the waterfall is definitely unique, beautiful and peaceful. We trust you will come back and visit us again in the near future. Once again, thank you for your review.
This cabin had it all, it was so relaxing and restful I didn't want to leave. I could have stayed outside just listening to the waterfall and frogs !! We did add water a few times to keep the waterfall going properly. Easy to do tho. The enclosed wrap around porch and fenced in yard were a big plus for us. The cabin had everything we needed, the upstairs did get warm. We tried to follow the tips left for us, but it didn't really help. Don't know if we missed a step or not. The deer came up every morning to say hello. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a Great place on their next long weekend or family vacation.

Disappointing
On first glance, this is beautiful property. However, the hot tub didn't work (called twice), tub fixtures were rusty, shower was moldy, and the house was generally dirty. The inability to get the hot tub fixed even after two phone calls to the answering service (they "put a ticket in on it") left us feeling they got our money and now they don't care. We've rented several places in this area and this is the only one that has left us disappointed.

Thank you for staying with us at Tumnus Ridge. We are so sorry we were unable to fix the hot tub when we responded to your call. We did have to place a work order with the hot tub repair company who later determined that it was a breaker issue. Unfortunately, they were unable to respond during your two night stay and we do apologize for this unexpected issue. We do take all of our guest's calls seriously and we are sorry that you were left feeling that we didn't care. Thank you for taking the time to share this review with us and we have shared it with the housekeeping supervisors and the property managers and will continue to work towards improving and assessing our processes as we grow forward.
We had an amazing time. The property was beautiful. Downtown Blue Ridge is a 20 minute drive and Serenberry winery (also dog&kid friendly) was about a 8 minute drive. The dogs loved that the whole porch and yard was accessible. Plenty of firewood for the outdoor fire place & pit was stored. I do recommend bringing extra paper towels, toilet paper, and laundry/dish soap if you're staying more than a weekend, as the listing suggests. The only possible con would be if it rains and you have dogs. There will be mud in the yard. There's no grass. There is 1 crate provided in the master closet and a gate at the top of the stairs to the loft. I also was not expecting the screened in workout area. The view from the loft was amazing as well. 9/10 will be reserving again.

Thank you for staying with us at Tumnus Ridge. We are so glad you enjoyed your getaway! We hope to host you again soon.
The cabin was beautiful and comfortable. Great for two families. Also great yard for our dog. Even though there were several houses in the area, the cabin still felt secluded. Lovely area! The only problem we had was the gate code. We went out one evening and when we came back the gate to the community was closed. The gate code we were given in an email, was not the correct code. We called the guest services number and spoke with someone but they also did not have the correct gate code. A resident pulled up to the gate and graciously provided us the correct code. We let the guest services person know the current code. However, it sounds like the code is changed quite often, so the code should be confirmed before emailing to guest. That was our only concern. Everything else was wonderful!!
