EAGLE'S REST Excursion offered with a fee.

Come stay in our cozy quaint 2 bedroom 2 bathroom home overlooking Moosabec Reach This home has all amenities that you will need for your stay. This home also has a bunk house for extra guests or children who want their own little escape. Relax on the deck and gaze out over the amazing view of Moosabec Reach and watch the lobster fishermen as they work. Included in your stay is 1 lobster per person on day and time of your choosing. So come stay in our amazing town with scenic views friendly people and everything else downeast has to offer.

Excursions
1. Sunday's only! Weather permitting.
Boat sail to a remote beach lobster feed on boat beautiful view. 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.
150.00 per person.
2. Saturday only! Weather permitting.
Go on the lobsterboat as part of the crew haul traps and see how lobster fishing is done.and take home a lobster.
75.00 per person time to be determined.
3. Special Excursion. Weather permitting.
Winter Harbor Boat races August 8th 2026
Take a sail to Winter Harbor for a day of watching lobster boat races. Lobsters and crabs will be cooked up. This is a whole day Excursion. 75.00 per person. 16 years or older.

The Eagles Nest Cottage is everything you need for a spectacular trip to Maine. The cottage is charming, spotless, well-appointed and has an amazing deck and views right on the water! The hosts are wonderful and provide great communication for check-in and were available if we had any questions. A welcome, charming, and quiet retreat in beautiful Maine!

The owners are hometown folks who genuinely care about their guest. Sandy really went above and beyond stocking up knowing beforehand that there would be a couple of teenage girls with us for two weeks. Charlie was always quick to say hello as were his crew, he even took the two girls out on the boat on a shorter run to show them a little of what it's about. Everything about the cottage was great, the view, the peace & quiet, the friendly neighbors & town folks, the girls loved the bunk house. There are some beaches nearby with one that you can walk from and out to an island at low tide. This was perhaps our favorite Maine stay over the past rentals we've stayed at along the Maine coast.

We loved this house. Charming, clean, and in a great location. The view off the deck is beautiful. Parking was easy. Check-in and other instructions (places to eat, areas to check out, etc.) were very helpful!

Eagles Rest

We enjoyed our stay very much! Beautiful location and felt like we had an authentic Maine experience staying in this home. Charles and Sandy were excellent hosts and we all loved our lobsters fresh off the boat.

Great cottage!

Eagles Rest was perfect for our family of four. The house had everything we needed and more. The view off the front deck is really pretty. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back some day!

Perfect Place to Relax

This is an adorable cottage get away. The ocean views were spectacular and the owners were as well! Thank you, Charlie, for the best crab and lobster we have ever eaten!!

Wonderful Experience

Charlie and his family were wonderful! The location was quiet and serene. The deck overlooking the lobster boats in the cove couldn't have been more peaceful. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would love to go back.

Eagles Rest Vacation

We loved everything about our week at the Eagles Rest. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Maine coast. Our hosts were responsive and the lobster and crab amazing! The home was comfortable, clean and provided everything needed. We were glad that we had several “unplanned” days during our stay so that we could enjoy the fire pit and deck! A treasured family memory!

Such a special place

This was our second stay in Eagle’s Nest, we enjoyed it so much last year that we returned. The cottage is so comfortable and sweet, the view so spectacular and it’s close to several hikes that we love to return to, especially Great Wass Island and Seaduck Point. The coast up there is so pristine and unique. Sandy and Charlie are warm and welcoming hosts and generous with lobster! We hope to return next year….

Great spot in Jonesport

We spent a great week here and thoroughly enjoyed the place even if the Downeast weather wasn’t always cooperative. The setting is perfect with a large deck overlooking Moosabec Reach that is great for watching all the lobstering activity. House is well appointed with a new Weber gas grill and kitchen has everything you need. Sandy and Charles are Jonesport natives and great friendly hosts who can source all the lobster you need and provide other local advice if needed. Highly recommend this place as a great Maine coastal getaway-we hope to return in the future!

Exquisite!

Such a incredible location and view. We could have spent all our time watching the water and sky from the fabulous, well appointed deck. But the nearby hiking lured us each day to moss carpeted forests and gorgeous shoreline and views. Charlie and Sandy are kind and responsive hosts. The lobsters were the best ever, fresh and tender. We felt a part of the community for a few days. We hope to return.

Charming cottage with beautiful views

Eagle’s Rest is a quaint, charming cottage on the water in Jonesport and had everything we needed for a family of 4 during our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, including pots/pans, dishes, silverware, spices, coffee maker, oven, stove, and gas grill outside. The beds were comfortable, and the combo of the fans and open windows made it a pleasant sleeping experience. The upstairs bathroom only has a tub, while the main level bath has a (tight) shower. Charlie & Sandy were so responsive to every question we had, and the lobster were enjoyed by all. Great spot to relax & unwind in Jonesport.

Down East Dream

My family and I were looking for a true down east Maine getaway without dealing with tourist traps and large crowds. This was such a wonderful way to do it. The property is as described. The views and sunsets are picturesque. Sandy and Charlie are incredible people who made our stay perfect. The town is geographically located near numerous outdoor excursions and hikes. I would not hesitate to recommend this house to others or hopefully go back ourselves. We didn’t want our trip to end! Thanks again Charlie and Sandy!

Quiet and Peaceful

This residence was very clean and in a very quiet area. It is truly on a working dock for lobsterman which was fun to watch. The owners leave a binder that answers any questions you may have about the property which was great. There is a notebook from previous renters writing about what they experienced in the area. The deck facing the water was amazing and the best part of the day was drinking coffee on it with my wife while watching boats coming and going. We were given fresh lobster from the days catch and taught how to cook them the proper way. It was an exciting experience and they tasted amazing. Don’t forget to grab a bottle of the local blueberry wine which went grate with the lobster.

Amazing views in a relaxed environment

We spent 6 days at the property and enjoyed the views and our super attentive hosts. The invitation to spend a few hours on the lobster boat and watch Charlie and his kids in action was a special treat, not to mention the lobster feast we were able to prepare using some of the freshly caught lobsters. The house offered fantastic water views from the main living area/kitchen and one of the bedrooms. It is the perfect place to relax, work remotely and enjoy the sea breeze. There is not much to do in Jonesport but it provided a good base to head out and explore Down East, head to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and more.. Since we arrived via plane and rental car, we also appreciated that the house was well equipped with cooking utensils, spices, and other necessities.. It was a great experience that we won't forget quickly! Thank you Charlie and Sandy.

We loved our stay at Eagles Rest - particularly my 10 year old son. The house was well maintained, adorably decorated, and cozy. The view of the water was great. Charlie and Sandy made our visit and my son loved getting to pick the lobsters and even going out on the lobster boat our last day. We would absolutely rent again!

Sweet seaside cottage

This property is very charming. Small charming 2 BR 2 BA waterfront cottage in jonesport. Very clean with reliable wifi access. Easily sleeps 4. Nice fire pit area near the water. Most toiletries are available but you’ll need to bring your own conditioner and lotion. Owners are very nice and responsive to questions. Really no restaurant options within a 30 min drive. Grocery options are dismal so you will need to be prepared with your own provisions to stay here. Machias is a little over 30 minutes away but the food is just OK and there are also not many options there as well.

We have 4 children Elizabeth, Kirk, Cassidy, Charlie Jr. We also have 2 grandchildren Payton and Ocean. We enjoy hosting meeting new people and seeing the same people year after year.
