This sprawling 5 bedroom, 2 full bath home is like no other in the area.

Our home is located halfway between famous Alpine Helen and historical Cleveland, just 1.5 miles off Hwy. 75, and only 90 minutes NE of Atlanta.

This area is quickly becoming known as THE premier spot for excellent wines, with more than a dozen local, highly rated wineries for enthusiasts to tour and taste!

Each area has it's own unique theme and personality. The main floor has a fully equipped farmhouse style eat-in kitchen, a den with a gas fireplace, 2 bedrooms, a full bath, a dining room, laundry room, and a large living room with a wood burning fireplace for chilly nights.

One flight up leads you to the master bedroom with vaulted ceilings and private terrace, another guest bedroom, and full bath, and a private wing that sleeps 6.

NEW FOR 2017! A 500 sq. ft. detached game room for playing poker, ping-pong, Foosball, pool, and air hockey while watching sports on a 60" flat screen TV! Room for little kids, (big kids too), to color and play board games.

Be prepared to be enchanted by our relaxing and secluded mountain retreat. And please don't think of it as going away, just think of it as coming home...

About Robert & Debbi Sloane

We are native New Yorkers, born and raised, but have lived in South Florida for the past 20 years, where we work and play and enjoy our family; especially our twin grandchildren who turn 5 this October.

Robert & Debbi Sloane purchased this house in 2013

Why Robert & Debbi Sloane chose Northeast Mountains

Our family vacationed here in 2012 and fell in love with the area, and knew we had to come here again and again. It took some doing, but we finally convinced the previous owners, Carol and Greg Crumley, to sell!

Northeast Georgia is called the 'gateway to the mountains'. With balmy days, and cool nights, this home melds both of our worlds, (New York and South Florida), into one.

We are very fortunate to be able to share this amazing vacation experience with others.

What makes this house unique

Quiet Seclusion, Spectacular Views, In the heart of Wine Country, close to shopping and all attractions. Appealing to everyone!

There were so many little extras in this home that we just loved!! So many special touches. My family had so much fun in the boats, and the game room was a hit! We highly recommend this home. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to the owners and property managers for taking such good care of us. A++ customer service!!

Great property!

  • 4 of 5

Nice views and lots of room for the family to get together. Plenty of activities in the game room and the paddle boat around the pond was a definite plus, as well as the hot tub in the evenings.

Would rent again!

Best Kept Secret

  • 5 of 5

My family and I rented Cameron Retreat for our annual family vacation. It has been said that love is in the details and my family felt a lot of love here. First, Robert and Debbie made the reservation process effortless. They were very responsive to any questions and made check-in very easy. We were also greeted by a lovely couple who answered all of our questions. The home will also not disappoint. It is very beautifully decorated and has everything you need. It felt more like visiting a relative than renting a vacation home. Robert and Debbie also had the "sweetest" welcome gift and binders full of local restaurants and activities for us to consider. One word of caution-if you have fishermen who like to fish out of their motor boat, the lake is not deep enough for that level of fishing, but they do provide a small rowboat and paddle boat so you can enjoy the water. It rained on one day, but we had plenty to do with the collection of DVDs, CDs and game room to keep us busy. Overall, it was a great place to spend quality time with family.

Something For Everyone

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at the Cameron House April 20 - April 24. We had 13 adults and 3 children ranging in age from 6 months to 81 years. We were there for our son's Senior Voice Recital from Truett McConnell University on Friday night and then for family time afterward.

Robert and Debbi Sloane are wonderful hosts and have the best stocked house we have ever stayed in. We had a problem with one of the fans and they sent someone right over to fix it.

Saturday was a beautiful warm sunny day and our granddaughters enjoyed the outdoor playground and went fishing in the pond with their dad. Games were played on the large deck with the wonderful view of Yonah Mountain. In the evening we took turns enjoying the hot tub and the view.

Sunday was rainy all day but this house is so large that we did not get in each other's way. There is a large and small den, both with large screen T.V.'s, two eating (game playing) tables, a large game room, and even a playroom area upstairs for the two little girls.

This is a wonderful home located near beautiful scenery, close to Helen and other North Georgia places of interest (there are brochures at the house to guide you to anything you want to visit).

Thanks Robert and Debbi for your thoughtfulness and planning for your guests.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Perfect for a family getaway.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Cameron House. The owners have a passion for creating a carefree and beautiful vacation. The home is meticulously cared for and has everything you could need for your stay! They have thought of everything! I travelled with several adults and children of all ages and everyone had a great time! The view from all angles of the surrounding porch is amazing! If we return to the area in the future this will definitely be our perfect accommodation!
