The Biketrail Bungalow

Built in 1902 as a company house for a bustling little lumber town, the BIKETRAIL BUNGALOW has been updated and is ready for a relaxing mountain visit. Centrally located on the historic 4.5 mile Townsend bike trail, you are just a short ride or walk to everywhere in this peaceful side of the mountains! The entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is less than a 5 minute drive away! And the Little River is directly across the street from our house, as is the River Rat outpost.

Keyless entry, NEW SUPER FAST INTERNET, breakfast items, a cooler, river chairs and towels are provided.

NEW NECTAR MATTRESS in the master bedroom! And a NEW SWINGING STATION with swinging chairs under the carport.

An outdoor closet contains an assortment of lawn games, such as cornhole, can jam, horseshoes and a giant jenga, just to name a few!

Lots of outdoor areas to relax and play in. Even a big tree swing on the hillside providing a beautiful mountain view.

High chair, pack n play and a umbrella stroller are provided.

Pigeon Forge-less than 30 minutes away.

McGhee Tyson Airport-25 minutes away.

Absolutely NO smoking or vaping. NO parties or events.

This is the first time I’ve stayed in the same house twice. The home is very comfortable, in a great location and the host is wonderful. Looking forward to staying here again the future. Highly recommend.

Our host was very helpful and thoughtful. The location is great! So convenient to the area yet it feels nicely secluded. I believe the two beds were double beds. There is a Keurig machine in one of the bedrooms. Sitting on the front porch was just lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the area. We would certainly book again if we plan to stay in the area again.

You can’t go wrong with this place! Located right off US 321, Missy’s Trail Bike Bungalow has quickly become one of our favorite cabins. You can truly feel the personal touches in the decor, and the kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked for those who enjoy cooking. We also appreciated being within five minutes of plenty of great dining options. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing, and Missy’s communication was top-notch from start to finish. We highly recommend it and hope to stay here again on our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay in Townsend. The house is lovely and spotlessly clean. It has everything we needed, the bed is super comfy and the house is really homey. The location was perfect for a trip to Maryville and Knoxville, as well as Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We enjoyed some great food at Appalachian Bistro, Sharon’s’ and Social, along with coffee at Artistic Bean. We were able to walk to dinners and to the balloon festival, which was very nice. Looking forward to our next stay at the bungalow!

We have been visiting Townsend for many years, Missy’s place is our favorite place to stay now. This is our third visit and looking forward to an another visit this year in the fall. Missy’s place has always been exceptionally clean, well stocked and very comfortable. We really enjoy staying there!

Great spot! Perfect location to enjoy all that the peaceful side has to offer. Well stocked and very nice extra touch with a complimentary Cades Cove Cab Sav. Lots of games, Fast WiFi and smart TV. Great level parking and lawn area which can be hard to come by in the Smokey’s.

We spent four nights here and had a very enjoyable stay. We selected this property due to its easy access to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With two bedrooms, the house was larger than we needed, and had ample comfortable places to sit and read. We particularly particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch after a day hike and a shower.We ate most of our meals at the house. The kitchen is generally well stocked, but could use a couple of new pans and sharp knives. All in all, this was a great place to stay if you want easy access to the park.
