All The Waters Retro Home on Lake Michigan- PRIVATE BEACH-Large, shaded backyard

Perfect sunset views from atop our bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, with breathtaking views. Walk down our nicely maintained switchback trail to your own private Lake Michigan white sandy beach. There are some weekdays where you will be the only people in sight!

Bluff walk is a few minutes up and down. 15-20 steps at top and bottom with a nature trail in between. Beautiful with some handrails and trees to grip but a moderate difficulty. We maintain it well but it does shift. Kids and healthy adults will handle it no problem but you won't want to go from the beach to the house several times a day. You will likely get a bit winded coming up. Still better than the straight stairs some folks have. Note: beach chairs and umbrellas not provided so please bring your own beach accommodations.

Stylish retro inspired time-capsule home has 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, and a bunk room. Ample parking. Large backyard with mature trees to shade from the afternoon sun. Large trampoline and an octoball court for the kids (see waiver). Weber propane grill on large concrete patio. Campfire pit and more seating on second concrete patio. Hot and cold outdoor shower for after-beach clean-up. 5 Roku TVs and high speed WiFi. New Whirlpool washer/dryer. New Dishwasher. Front row sunset views that never get old!

We are 6 minutes away from downtown St. Joe, one of Michigan's featured beach towns, with plenty of events and activities.Watch the boats come in and out of the harbor and witness one of the last working rotating train bridges. Great art fairs and farmer's markets at the bluff. Lots of great restaurants and antique stores up and down the Red Arrow Highway. Explore South Haven about 20 minutes up the road without the high prices of renting there.

Perfect Family Vacation House

We had an awesome week in Michigan in this gorgeous house. The place was impecable, great amenities, large awesome yard with a perfect view of the sunset. The owners were excellent with communication and the location couldn't have been better. I highly recommend this rental!

Great family getwlaway!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the house and view so much. The place was spotless and the view of the lake out back was so good. Perfect sunset views!! Would definitely rent again. Owner was great to deal with and eager to help out. Everything worked as it should.

Awesome lakefront property!

This house is such a gem! My family of 6 had a fabulous time. The private beach was a blast, plenty of room to stretch out and relax, and a cool retro vibe. A quick 10 minute drive to downtown St Joe’s for a little shopping and great food. The perfect place to kick back and relax!

Loved our family getaway…

Beautiful backyard space with a great view of the lake! The kids loved the trampoline and we all enjoyed the hike down to the beach to go for daily walks with our dog. Great communication with the owner. We look forward to coming back next year!

Beautiful

Beautiful view of the lake. We watched the sunset every night. Huge backyard and access to a wonderful beach. Plenty of room in the house. Everyone had a great time. No one in our group had a single complaint about the property. Absolutely amazing.

Perfect Getaway House

Upon first arrival everything about our stay was perfect. Check-in was flawless and the house was immaculately clean. The walk down to the beach was a bit of a hike, but the path is well managed and our 3 year old had no issues throughout the week trekking up and down each day. The shaded back yard provided the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful sunsets each night. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better spot.

Time Capsule with a View

This is a special place. Views are absolutely stunning! Quiet beach and easy to access. Plenty of room and accommodations for everyone in your family, including your precious pup! A time capsule with all the comforts of home. We loved the decor and throwback memorabilia. Lots of personal touches. All you need for a great trip away with your family. We would love to go back!

Very nice home and view

My family and I stayed here for a 3 day weekend. The view was amazing from the house. The house was also very nice and had enough room and beds for the 9 of us. The owner and his family were all very kind and when anything went wrong they were right there to fix any issue. The walk down to the water is definitely a little hike, but very much well worth it. For most of our stay we were alone on the sand and only had 3 people pass by. My family and I will definitely be renting again in the future.

Cute house, beautiful view, private beach!

We loved staying at the All The Waters house! From the fun retro design and decor of the house to the beautiful view in the backyard, it was a great getaway for our family. The house was clean and well-equipped for guests, and our kids really enjoyed the fun backyard. The beach was super private with really nice sand and clean water. The path down to the beach is a small hike, but nothing our 3 year old couldn’t handle. The kids actually thought that part was pretty magical! All-in-all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend staying here to any of our friends!

Perfect Lakeside Home

Lovely, comfy house. Good amenities, great backyard with incredible lake view! Toby is super helpful and kind. The property has a lovely curated trail down to the beach. So much more doable than a huge metal staircase. The home is on a bluff so the trail down is lengthy. Very manageable if you are mobile and steady on your feet. Close to some lovely state parks with great hiking trails and St Joe’s downtown. Perfect ladies weekend!

Great house with a wonderful view!

House was very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. Very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the fun extras in the back yard and kids room and the retro decor was a real treat. But the very best part of this property is the private beach. The trail down to the beach was about a 4 min walk with some uneven terrain but well worth the hike for the absolutely stunning views. We could not have enjoyed the beach more, such soft sand and so many pretty rocks (that was one of our favorite parts). Most beautiful sunsets we have ever seen. Thank you so much for having us!

Pure Michigan

This property is awesome! What a beautiful retro home! The pictures do not do it justice! The backyard was perfect for the grandkids with the trampoline being their favorite! Large space to play yard games as well. The beach and lake are exceptional. We found so much beautiful beach glass. Toby was a great host and checked in with us often to see if we needed anything. He also left is a wonderful welcome basket with Michigan goodies that we enjoyed all week long. I highly recommend this Retro Beach House for your family vacation.

Beautiful beach access

Property is as pictured! Fun for a group and the beach is one of the widest we’ve ever had access to! Even on the weekends was pretty private and quiet. The path down is as-described - it takes a bit longer but you see the benefit (as we did) when the neighbor’s electric ride up broke down!! Toby was also nice enough to let us know we could check-in early. Absolutely didn’t have to do that but we were able to grab an extra hour or so of beach time. And personally the farm-fresh eggs they left us were a huge plus!

Spectacular!

From the hospitality of the host to the beautiful property everything about our stay was fantastic! The host was always available for questions or concerns. The little touches around the house made us feel so welcomed and at home. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We spent a lot of time at the beach which was impeccable! The sand was so soft and clean. The trial to the beach is a cool adventure in itself. We loved that there were umbrellas and chairs available at the beach for our use, so appreciated. Our dogs had an absolute blast at the beach! Thank you for making our quick trip to the west side of MI so memorable!

Beautiful retro MCM home on amazing lakefront property

The pics don’t do it justice! Really beautifully maintained MCM with so many thoughtful details (vintage pieces) but also modern updates (flatscreen tv, mini split AC, USB chargers). The yard is huge and has two fire pits. Kitchen is well stocked. Spotlessly clean. The path down to the beach is steep but that’s typical for this area. One level was great to have with our big newfoundland in tow (they are pet friendly!). Very close to town. Neighbors were super polite. Will definitely be back!

Excellent Lake Michigan stay!

This property exceeded all expectations! The house was beautiful and SUPER clean. Retro decor was thoughtfully designed and amazing. The pictures truly didn't do it justice and the house was awesome for our size group of 10 (7 adults and 3 kids). The yard was big including a large patio, second patio with fire pit, trampoline (which the kids LOVED), Gaga ball pit, and beautiful view of Lake Michigan. The switchback path down the bluff to the private beach felt like a secret entrance to serenity. If you want a private, beautiful, clean beach this is it. Of note, physical capability if needed to access the path to the beach due to stairs and some uneven ground. The host and property are fantastic!

Great house and experience!

This property was amazing! Close to downtown St. Joseph, where they had little shops, the public beach, and fun! My family and I got well in this 4 bedroom house. We were able to enjoy the beach out the back door and down the switchback trail, collect rocks, walk the beach, and relax. The kids enjoyed the hammock, trampoline, and yard to play in. As adults, we enjoyed watching the sunset, views, and hearing the lakes waves, from the lawn-chairs. During our stay we drove up to Saugatuck Dunes and too the took the dune guided ride; it was a blast. The house was everything we expected and more! The property owners were very responsive, reached out to check in on us and our stay, and provided helpful tips to us about the area! I highly recommend this property!

Perfect Girls weekend getaway!

We are a group of 6 ladies (all friends from School) who have been doing a girls trip for the past 15 years! The house was perfect for us! Big yard, privacy, beautiful views of the lake, easy path to the beach, super clean, plenty of room for us all and the decor is super cool! Toby was very prompt to respond to any questions I had and because of unseen circumstances out of Toby’s control. They were still at the house, wrapping things up when we came to check in. We got to meet the whole family. Super nice and even helped carry our coolers 😎 Thank you for sharing your home and all the goodies too…fresh eggs, local honey, maple syrup and more!

Amazing place

There are a lot of great things to say about this place. First thing that sticks out is the decorating is really cool, retro theme that was done really well and fits the house. The space itself works really well with 4 bedrooms total, one of which has the 4 bunks. The backyard is really big and flat, great space for kids to play and adults to hang out. The beach was very nice, great sandy and long shallow entry for kids. It was practically empty as far as we could see our whole time there. It was a hike to get down and up from the house; about a 5 min trip but comparing to driving to a beach, parking and lugging all your stuff from the car to beach, it is not bad! Plus there were chairs already down there to use. All in all one of the best VRBO experiences we have had, will definitely consider renting again in the future.

A great time in a very special place

We loved our stay in this immaculate retro home above a beautiful beach on Lake Michigan. There's something for everyone, from the amazing, beautifully-preserved mid century details of the ranch style home, to the fun kids' bunk/play room, to the huge yard filled with activities, to the lovely water view and multiple outdoor seating areas from which to enjoy it. The beach is accessed by a pretty steep trail but no one seemed to mind since the payoff was an essentially private beach on the lake. Having a powder room adjacent to the bunk room along with a large full bathroom made it easy for seven of us to share space. The dining room table is huge and works well for games and meals during rainy spells. The kitchen is gorgeous - we've never seen authentic period cupboards of such style and function. The appliances look retro but are completely up to date. This home is run as a family business and the care and love are obvious.

Now if you want unique and one-of-a-kind places, and you want to deal with a real person whose entire family does the cleaning in between visits instead a multi-national corporation? We might be a fit. This has been our home for the past 5 years and we love our Lake Michigan backyard and want to share this with you.
