Storyteller's Shack is a cute tiny cabin. Me and my husband needed a quick getaway to reconnect with one another. This cabin was perfect for that! There's no cell service and the WiFi didn't work but that's ok because cell phones are just a distraction we didn't need! The hot tub felt great after a day of hiking. The hot tub area was private and I especially liked the fireplace right by the hot tub. We arrived late on check in day and had problems with the lock code to get the key out of the box. Since it was late we had a hard time getting in touch with the owner but we finally did. Turns out the email I received with the instructions had the wrong lock code listed. But in the end everything turned out good. If we ever stay nearby again we'll definitely look into getting this cabin!

The stay was ok what little time we slept there. Upstairs was closed off for whatever reason that i wasn't made aware of when reservation was made. Seen several spiders inside during our stay. Several silverfish during our stay and ants big enough to pack a suit case off. Location of cabin was great. Hot tub was not very clean on first day of staying. On a scale of 1-10 i would give it a 4 and that would be pushing it. Only reason for reservation was causing there was nothing else available at the time.
If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it. It is the coziest little place in the mountains, especially in the fall! The drive from Bryson City is not far and so beautiful. The hot tub is amazing. The host is kind and very helpful. 10/10
