About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 2-4)

NEWLY REMODELED! We just finished a fabulous new remodel! We now have a totally new kitchen with granite counters, stainless steel appliances, new cabinets and a new floor. Totally new bathrooms as well, with new floors, shower, vanities and towels! Not to mention a brand new queen size bed and fresh new linens! A fresh, new condo at this same great price! What a deal!

Old world charm, comfort and convenience await your alpine escape on Gore Creek at the Vail Racquet Club Building 7 - Condo 12.

My husband and his family are third generation Boulder, Colorado natives. He began to enjoy the epic skiing, fly-fishing, hiking, biking and golfing that Vail has to offer in the 1970s. As for myself, I was born south of the Mason Dixon line in the Mississippi Delta and was first introduced to skiing Vail in the 1980s. Of course it was “love at first run” and now I would never miss my husband & his friends dragging me along for “first chair”!

So when the occasion arose to own one of those rare sunny, corner units at Vail Racquet Club we jumped at the opportunity. We are absolutely certain that you too will enjoy our freshly remodeled second floor condominium overlooking the East Vail Chutes, cascading waterfalls and Gore Creek. The unit is strategically located with a balcony, deck and excellent floor plan. It is a mere 8 steps from the parking lot to our front door and private ski/snowshoe/fly fishing gear/hiking shoes closet! Once inside you will experience all of the customary amenities while lighting a fire, reliving the tales of the day, cooking dinner or preparing to dine at the on-site restaurant.

'The Vail Racquet Club', offers breathtaking alpine ambiance and borders the White River National Park in scenic East Vail. This European style complex underwent a $3 million renovation in 2004 and offers a year-round heated 25 meter pool, 14 tennis courts, snowshoe rentals, state-of-the-art workout room, fitness classes, hot tub, sauna, steam room, massages and lockers (Fees for VRBO guests are required). It is conveniently located on the free Town of Vail shuttle bus, which runs approximately every 15-20 minutes.

Perhaps one of the greatest thrills of travel is to leave the everyday behind. By visiting places so utterly different you engage your being anew. Visit Vail. Renew your senses. Experience amazing things.

Great Little Place!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in this condo at the Vail Racquet Club. It's just the right size for two....you can do four but y'all better be close friends. The kitchen was WELL stocked with all the things you need for cooking a full meal. I love to cook (that's what my wife loves most about me) and I found everything that I needed. Then you can sit by the river and relax while you just take it all it!! We didn't take advantage of the Racquet Club but my wife did get a great massage at the Club while we were there (I called ahead to schedule it). The cleaning fee was waived because we stay at least four nights (that by itself made this a great deal) and our security deposit was returned in a timely manner. The condo is just a short drive to Vail Village and Lionshead and the great shopping in Silverthorne, Frisco and Breckenridge. Beautiful drives to Leadville, Glenwood Springs and Aspen are in the area, too. The condo made a great home base for everything we found to do in the area. Here's a few things we found that you may want to try! The 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits in Vail Village is a great tasting room! Elena told us the history of the 10th Mountain Division that trained in the area for winter offensives during WWII. Some of these soldiers returned after the war to open many of the ski resorts around the country, including Vail. Next is Casa Mexico in West Vail. Located down the side walk from the Safeway. Great Mexican food.... no kidding!!! There Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas were the best I've ever had! I tried to buy the recipe to the sauce! Great salsa and nopalitos salad. If you like Mexican food, don't miss it. Last was the tasting room at the Vail Brewing Company in Eagle-Vail. They don't serve food but keep take out menus behind the bar so you can have food delivered there. Have a great vacation and travel on!!

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this condo at at the Vail Racquet Club. The location was perfect. The other tenants at the Racquet Club we so very friendly. It was clean and walkable to the Blu's Restaurant which was great. There is a grocery and liquor store practically around the corner. We would love to stay in the winter for ski season.

My husband, daughter and I came to Vail to visit our son and his girlfriend and of course to ski. Communication with the management was satisfactory and as we got closer to the arrival date, directions and condo info came via email. Unfortunately, the internet was not working and never got access. The condo manager did call the internet provider but it was not resolved. This did cause a problem for our daughter needed the internet for her college classes. The condo was clean and perfect for our needs. It is located close to Gore Creek hiking trail and steps away to the free bus into town. It is alongside of I-70 and at times was loud due to the trucks. We took advantage of the hot tub and heated pool which was a real plus after a day of hiking or skiing. Very friendly community and would certainly return.

A Great Family Christmas

  • 5 of 5

I needed a reasonably priced place in Vail for my wife and two kids for five nights between Christmas and New Years and that wasn’t easy to find – Lionshead and Vail Village are all hopelessly overpriced. Using VRBO I eventually stumbled on this place at the Vail Racquet Club and I’m very happy I did, the description is accurate. It’s a little tight once the couch bed is folded out but it’s a warm, cozy and comfortable condo with a fully functional kitchen. The bedding and towels seem new and the condo feels clean. We especially enjoyed the fireplace given the well stocked woodshed just outside the front door. The bus to Vail Village comes frequently and it’s easy to use – the stop is right across the street from the clubhouse. Laundry facilities (3 washers and 3 dryers) are just underneath the unit – we used them after purchasing a roll of quarters from the clubhouse. The guys at the clubhouse will say that using the gym, pool, or hottubs costs extra but it seems the owner left coupons for access in the bedroom nightstand. You’ll need to go to the clubhouse when you arrive to get a free parking permit, and they’ll show you where this particular unit is, and you actually can park right in front of the unit. When you’re here, have a dinner at the restaurant at the clubhouse (Blu’s Restaurant) – very good, and reasonably priced! Can you say that in Vail? Best of all the owner(s) are easy to work with and honest people and they have a nice property, you’ll enjoy your stay here.

Peaceful Vail condo

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend at this great VRC condo. We felt it was an excellent value. The second half-bath made our morning routines go smoothly. It was quiet, the furnishings comfy, and the kitchen compact but complete. The shuttle was 1 block from the condo. I was also impressed with the Racket Club itself and the Alpine Tavern. VRC has a separate adults-only hot tub, as well as one for families by the pool, a coffee shop, and small boutique. Finally, the owner was easy to work with.

It Is All That!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful corner condo. We prepared all our meals and lunches in this well equiped kitchen! We had driven here so the City Market of Vail, just two Exits West off Hwy 70 was our go-to store. The layout for the unit is very open and the extra bathroom facilities made catching the early morning shuttle bus much easier! ...Eight days of fabulous skiing!! Sarah was great to work with by promptly answering any questions or concerns. We have recommended it to friends.

Thanks for making our short-notice-stay possible Sarah...and for the bonus 24" of powder over two days!
