Renovated Cabin in a Gated River Community

Welcome to our future retirement cabin and your perfect getaway! Tucked in the towering trees with Cartecay River frontage, you can sit on the porch and listen to the sounds of the river rapids. Recently renovated cabin sits on two acres with 2BR/2BA, great room with wood burning fireplace, wide plank hardwood floors and beautiful knotty pine, tongue/groove wood ceilings. As this is our part-time home, we have it stocked with quality cookware, tableware, small appliances and linens. Recent upgrades: SS appliances, granite countertops (kitchen and baths), a new king platform bed and mattress set in the master bedroom and a new glass tile walk-in shower and fixtures in master bath. Google Nest Wifi thermostat, GE washer/dryer, bathroom vanities and interior and exterior painting. Samsung Smart TV in the main room and Smart/Roku TVs in each bedroom. Bose Wave stereo and Sony DVD player. Recently upgraded Hi Speed Internet service (750 Mbps-FbrX) to support and enhance working from home & streaming movies. You'll love spending time outdoors on the well-furnished, a full length covered porch and lower level deck with a three-burner Weber gas grill. Our cabin is located in a beautiful gated community with a covered bridge entrance (see pics) and offers multiple common areas/amenities on the Cartecay River (the river is not easily accessible from the cabin) for tubing, kayaking and fly fishing. Miles of walkable tree-lined roads. Deer are frequent visitors. It's only a ten minute drive to downtown Ellijay restaurants and shopping. Also, there are several nearby orchards, vineyards and Reece's hard cidery. A thirty-day minimum rental period is required by HOA. This was the best stay we have experienced. This cabin was absolutely wonderful the neighborhood was quiet I enjoyed walking and seeing deer everywhere I looked. The hosts were great to communicate with if I was to come back to this area I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Setting

We stayed at the cabin for 3 months and it was not a long enough visit. On the back porch you see the deer all day long and you can hear the river rushing below it. Clean cabin and wonderful setting in a secure location. The owners are super to work with and quickly respond to all inquiries or requests. Definitely a 5-star property.

Wonderful Retreat in a Quiet Wooded Setting

We travel as part of my wife's career and we have stayed at many properties. This home has been one of our most pleasant experiences. The owners are wonderful to work with, presented a recently updated, spotless home in a wonderfully quiet setting (with the sound of the river in the background). The back porch is wonderful for relaxing and reading. The grill is new. The gas stove works amazing! The Internet never skipped a beat, I worked from home comfortably there myself. As mentioned, the house was clean, well stocked and in good repair. The property is wooded, has regular groups of deer coming through and is very close to Ellijay (9 mins maybe?). The short drive to the cabin across the bridge is wonderful!

Cozy Cabin

The purpose of our trip was to get reprieve from the South Florida heat and humidity. Mission was accomplished! The cabin was extremely clean and cozy. The appliances appeared to be brand new. The cabin was surrounded by trees which made the area cool and comfortable. The porch furniture was very comfortable where we enjoyed our morning coffee and book reading. The owner was very quick to respond to texts when questions arose. The Roku TV was frustrating to us since we were unfamiliar with the system, however we were able to view platforms for which we had subscriptions. The WiFi worked without a hitch! Our biggest joy was watching a family of deer pass by daily. The overall month’s experience was very enjoyable. Thank you Bill and Jackie for sharing your cozy cabin with us.
