Pikes Peak’s Sentinel Point View, Starlink, WiFi, YouTube, Divide, Woodland Park
With CLOSEUP views of Pikes Peak’s Sentinel Point, “Rocky Mountain Heights” is perfect for vacations and getaways for couples, friends, or small families. It also is a fabulous spot for “working from home,” with new Starlink high speed internet. The cabin is on 3.2 acres atop a hill in the western foothills of Pikes Peak. View Pikes Peak’s Sentinel Point from the sunroom, or the Adirondack lawn chairs. Hundreds of acres of undeveloped, forested hills provide privacy and amazing views. As you view down the stunning valleys, listen to the narrow mountain stream that flows into the beaver ponds on our neighbor’s private property. Watch for the yearly visits of mama moose with their newborns. Wildlife abounds, with moose and elk nearby, with mule deer grazing in our yard, and forest animals and birds cheering your spirits. From 9,500 ft, unplug, relax, and watch beautiful sunrises, brilliant stars, quaking Aspen, and silent snowfalls. Security/Game cameras are installed in the front and back of the property. The cabin is one level, with no stairs and easy parking, and a low-fenced front and backyard for the kiddos. A glass-bead firepit dining set is in the covered area near the propane bbq grill.
Charming mountain cabins often do not provide all the amenities that we have: sunrises and MOON rises over nearby Pikes Peak’s Sentinel Point, while hearing the small mountain stream from the backyard; covered outdoor dining and firepit. Inside: a workspace/ adjustable height computer desk (sit or stand) and chair; a gas fireplace, new comfy king and queen beds, televisions in both bedroooms and the living room, new washer and dryer, dishwasher, and propane bbq grill, and a sunroom. The log cabin exterior and the interior woodwork add to the mountain charm, with vaulted pine ceilings throughout, and hickory hardwood floors in the living and dining areas. YouTube television and internet are available, and you can prepare meals from the well-appointed kitchen. Special Note: Marijuana/drugs, smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are not allowed in the cabin nor on the property. Activities Galore are in every direction! Pikes Peak is 25 miles away to visit it by car, or take the cog railway from Manitou Springs. HIKE up the backside of Pikes Peak from the Crags Trailhead, just 6 miles from the cabin! Our area is a hiker’s dream! Mueller State Park is 5 miles away, with 50 miles of trails of every level on FIVE THOUSAND ACRES! (Or just drive through Mueller for vistas of Pikes Peak AND the Continental Divide). Minutes away are the waterfall at Horsethief Falls Trail, and the Dome Rock and the Pancakes Trails. See the AllTrails app for many nearby trails. In Cripple Creek, 12 miles south, are the casinos, the nationally famous winter Ice Castles, and the Mollie K. Gold Mine Tours. The town of Victor has gold mining history and Rita the Troll. On the way to Colorado Springs from the cabin, visit the Dinosaur Resource Center, Santa’s Workshop Amusement Park, The Penny Arcade and 25-cent kiddie rides, Cave of the Winds, Indian Cliff Dwellings, Garden of the Gods, The Air Force Academy, the famous Broadmoor Hotel and Seven Falls, and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Kids and adults love it!
Our central location allows you to enjoy all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer: hunting, skiing, river rafting, kayaking, world class fly fishing, snowmobiling, sledding, hot springs, hiking, biking, ATVing, Jeeping, zip lining, and rock climbing. The Royal Gorge is 57 miles away, offering river rafting, extreme zip lining, train rides, and gondola rides across the Gorge. Snow ski at Breckenridge, 88 miles away, without the high cost of lodging, and the more than 4-hour, round-trip travel congestion of I-70 from Denver in peak season! Snow ski at Monarch to the southwest, or stop at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs in Buena Vista on the way.
One of our favorite spots is less than 30 miles from the cabin — Eleven Mile Canyon. (Not to be confused with Eleven Mile Resevoir nearby). Drive through and ask the ranger to point out the huge bald eagles’ nest on the way in. The South Platte River rushes and tumbles between the stunning canyon walls, in the quintessential, picture-postcard Colorado wild. Picnic, hike, fish, fly fish, or drive through and never leave your car. A photographer’s dream! A Must See! All the roads leading to the cabin from every direction are excellent highways, except for the last 1.2 miles, which are 2 lane, decompressed granite roads which are well-maintained by the county after rains and snow. Come home to the gas burning fireplace in the cabin, nestled in Colorado mountains, where “nature’s finest” is right out your door!

This was a well-kept, beautiful, secluded property. We were able to relax without noise and loved the views of the mountains. My favorite was the chairs that overlooked the mountain peak.
The cabin was spotless and very well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the sunroom was an excellent place to read and relax. The views out back were stunning to say the least! We enjoyed sitting in the Adirondack chairs listening to the stream below us and gazing at the marvelous view of Pikes Peak. The Aspens were gorgeous! Todd gave us excellent recommendations on beautiful drives nearby. He was an excellent host. All in all, it was a great experience to relax and reset. We will definitely be visiting again.

This property had everything you needed for any length of stay. Lots of indoor/outdoor space. Very private, closest neighbor is down the valley. You can drink your coffee with mountain sunrise and hear the creek below.

Fantastic property, tucked away from the world, other cabins are close by but you would never know it. Cabin was clean and comfortable, check in process was easy and efficient. Great place to use as base of operations for exploring all of the hiking and fishing that is close by, already planning our next trip.
