Flat Creek Cottage | Pet-Friendly Montreat Home with Grill & Creek Access!

Located within the enchanting valley cove of Montreat at the foot of the beloved Blue Ridge Mountains surrounded by lush rhododendron and evergreen forest, this charming, pet-friendly home nestled alongside Flat Creek is ideal for larger families and groups and is conveniently located within walking distance of Lake Susan, Robert Lake Playground, and Montreat Conference Center activities. Filled with cozy furnishings and pops of color throughout, there are plenty of spaces to gather or enjoy quiet solo time.

Warm up around the wood-burning fireplace in the living room as you stream the latest movies and shows, enjoy meals together at the outdoor dining table on the screened porch, or read your favorite book beside the creek in the sunshine. In the morning, watch the sunrise and sip your coffee on the front porch before taking advantage of the high-speed internet to answer a few emails and work on creative projects. Whip up a quick and delicious breakfast in the kitchen complete with a smooth surface stove, ample counter space & 2 different types of coffeemakers (French press & Standard Drip), and when you're ready, ride your bike or take a stroll into The Little Town that Rocks, Black Mountain, just minutes away.

Known as the Front Porch of Western North Carolina, you'll spot the iconic red rocking chairs throughout this treasured small town that stand as your reminder to slow down, pull up a chair, and savor what's in front of you. Enjoy cold craft beer and burger at Foothills Grange, or have a late brunch of grit cakes topped with local greens paired with a rotating mega-mosa served in a mason jar on the open-air wraparound porch of local favorite, Louise's Kitchen. On the days you're seeking a bustling and high-energy experience, travel to the artsy and eccentric city of Asheville just 25 minutes away.

Both Black Mountain and Asheville offer several art galleries, upscale boutiques, novelty shops, cafes, and award-winning breweries guaranteed to keep you entertained for hours on end. House Layout:
Main Level- Living room with wood-burning fireplace and Smart TV for streaming; Bedroom with a Queen bed & full en suite bath (shower only, no tub); Kitchen with island (4 stools) and dining table that seats 8-10; Beautiful screened porch on the creek side of the house.
Upper Level: Bedroom with a Queen bed & full en suite bath (shower only, no tub); Bedroom with a Double bed; Bedroom with 3 Twins; Full bathroom in the hallway.
Lower Level: Laundry area with washer/dryer; Open area with Queen bed and Twin bed; Den with TV and ping pong table; Full bath with walk-in shower.

Please note: This house is dog-friendly, with a $100.00 non-refundable fee per dog (maximum of two). Sorry, this home is not cat-friendly due to common allergies. Sheets and towels are NOT provided but can be rented from Greybeard. The home has central air, and there is a mini-split/ductless air system in the upper-level primary bedroom. The partially finished basement has an open area with overflow bedding. Please keep in mind that the lower level of the home has unfinished features (cinderblock walls, exposed pipes, etc). It serves as the perfect bonus space for larger groups that require additional accommodations.
