Mountain Paradise

Fantastic property. Amazing views in the mountains. And close access to both Black Mountain Main Street and all the surrounding trails. Highly recommend staying here!!

Glorious Property

We absolutely adored our stay at this property - it was perfect for our family reunion! We hosted everyone for a lovely dinner and enjoyed the view. Lots of room for everyone and a very well-stocked kitchen. Will definitely try to stay for our next visit to family in Black Mountain!

House was as listed. House is large enough for big family.

We had a party of 20 staying a long weekend in February. Awesome location and house was exactly as listed. Very quite location in a gated community. Will definitely stay again.

Family relaxation

My family enjoyed their downtime. The view was amazing. As a flatlander, a little nervous driving at night. Thoroughly enjoyed our time away from home.

The Great Aspen Chateau was a great place for a large family gathering. We had 12 adults, a teenager, a 3year old and an infant with plenty of beds and comfortable space for everyone. We drove from 3 states with 5 cars, and it was no problem parking them. Entry to the property was easy and Kelly’s directions to the house were great. Kelly was great to work with and readily available for questions. The roads to the property were paved and easier to drive on than other mountain rentals we have experienced. The lane to the house was a steady incline and steep at the end but very manageable. We did not hear or see any neighbors. It was peaceful and quiet with a gorgeous view. The house itself was well stocked with linens, towels, kitchen utensils, glasses, etc. One of the better stocked houses we have rented. There was not a working ice machine that we found so bags of ice worked. We especially liked the large dining area with two large tables where all of us could sit together. We had a wonderful week at the chateau and would definitely return another year.

Girls’ Trip

This was a wonderful place for six long time friends to stay while enjoying the beautiful Asheville area! Everyone had their own room with no more than two sharing a bathroom. House sits high on the mountain with a breathtaking view. House had everything we needed and the some. One highlight was seeing 5 black bears several days on our trip up or down the mountain!

Magic Escape

We were lucky enough to be in Black Mountain when it was the height of the fall colors. It was beyond stunning. Every time any of us walked by a window, we would have to stop and take a breath. We had plenty of space and a visit we will never forget.

Spectacular View

We had a wonderful time at this home in Black Mountain. There was plenty of room for our family of 9 to spread out. Our 15 year old granddaughter felt like she had her own private suite! We enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the view. We also loved having the pool table! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

All under one roof

A group of friends and their families were all able to fit under one roof and spend some quality time together. It was so great, and the short drive into the town was great. It had a small park area, a larger park with playground (Tomahawk Park), coffee shop, antique shop, general store. The firefighters even turned on the lights for the kids and offered for them to get into the trucks.

Family Christmas

We enjoyed our stay, with plenty of space to spread out in the six bedrooms. The beds were comfortable, the fireplace worked great, and the hot tub was lovely. The kitchen is well stocked and we were easily able to cook our big family holiday meal. I also appreciated the Christmas decorations to make it more festive. We hiked the Lookout Trail (20 minute drive), and enjoyed downtown Black Mountain (10 minute drive). The host, Kelley, was super responsive and the check in instructions were easy to follow. Thanks!

Family Reunion

House very clean. View was amazing! Kitchen had everything needed to cook Thanksgiving meal. Kelly was so responsive to anything we needed. Large stock of linens. House is very large & accommodates large families well. Having two refrigerators was a huge plus. Downstairs game room great for kids & family. They enjoyed playing pool. We were up the mountain but also close to downtown. Would rent again!

View is fabulous

The house is large and easily slept our 6 with many rooms to spare. The view was incredible and leaves were at their peak. Black Mountain was an adorable town with tons to do. Only 2 complaints. Fireplace would not work after the first night. (Sonya, cleaner, thought it was the thermostat) the other compliant which is nominal, both toaster levers had to be held down to toast. Made it difficult to multi-task. Beautiful place.

Large house with a stunning view!

Large house with a stunning view. It is in a remote location and very quiet. The house was large enough for family members to have their space. The dining area has 2 large tables and was a place where everyone could hang out. There were 2 refrigerators (one in kitchen and one downstairs), which was nice. Family members enjoyed playing pool downstairs. Lots of towels and wash clothes supplied. I was surprised that there weren't more supplies left by renters (coffee filters, saran wrap, etc...) so be prepared to bring these items before getting to the top of the mountain as it is a trek down the mountain to Ingles grocery store. I would definitely recommend renting this house. We did not encounter any problems.

This was a perfect house for our group. Open spaces for all to gather, but it was great that the kids could have their own space downstairs. Beautiful views and convenient to downtown Black Mountain.
