Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

The House at Log Cabins is situated with ocean and sunset views, caressed by tradewinds, and framed by swaying palm trees. Its large, partially shaded deck is ideal for outdoor dining, checking the surf or watching humpback whales breach. Down the steps from the 40 foot lawn out front are miles and miles of white sand beach and the Pacific Ocean as your playground.

Perfect for three couples, a family (possibly two), or a group of close friends, 'Log Cabins' is a comfortable and peaceful retreat that sleeps up to ten. It’s a fantastic spot for the outdoor enthusiast, or the leisure buff. Your level of activity is up to you.

Living at Log Cabins is simple, yet luxurious. Two bedrooms have queen-size beds; a third bedroom has two twins that can be made into a queen; and another room has a pull-out double couch. The latter is great for sleeping kids or anyone who doesn't require a closed door. All bedrooms have sizeable closets, and there are three full baths.

The kitchen was designed to be functional, open and spacious with a large island and top-of-the-line appliances. It is often a focal point of activity, and was therefore designed to be easy to clean and maintain a great feature if you plan on eating in a lot (hint: you won’t want to leave the property).

Wonderful house, amazing location, very responsive owners, what more could you want?

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed on the North Shore numerous numerous times for vacation and lived here for a while as well. This property is definitely one of our favorite places to have stayed, hands down. The location is amazing with Log Cabins surf break right in front of the house and you're walking distance to Pipeline, Sunset Beach, and all the other amazing spots the North Shore has to offer. Foodland (grocery store in Pupukea) is a 2 minute drive or 10minute bicycle ride away which is very convenient. The house itself is thoughtfully laid out and comfortable. The master suite upstairs with adjacent balcony (Lanai) were palatial. Downstairs the 2 bedrooms are great for accommodating either a group with several couples or a family. The kitchen is massive and well equipped which was key since we love cooking, and complimented by a nice grill on the downstairs porch (yep, there are 2 porches!). For those that want to stay connected, the wifi is fast and reliable, and the new Samsung TV with Hulu, Netflix, and cable were always on hand if you wanted to veg out after dinner. As I said, my wife and I have stayed at a lot of properties on the North Shore and this is somewhere we will definitely be coming back to, and bringing some family next time so that they can enjoy it as well. Would be a great setup for 3 couples or one large family.

Nice property It was very clean.

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay (for the most part) at this property. The problem we had was with the very busy 2 lane highway outside our door. We got into a minor accident which could have very easily been a lot worse. The traffic is terrible. I would rather stay in Maui or Kauai where there are less people. I slept soundly upstairs with the sound of the ocean. Nice! Oh I almost forgot the back patio needed more lighting. Please everybody drive safe!

The ultimate rest and relaxation spot!

  • 5 of 5

We have been traveling to Hawaii for almost 30 years. We have stayed at a number of places, but this one takes the cake. The most noteworthy impression was the care of the home. It is a clean, well-cared for, updated house. Some houses we have stayed at have not kept up with the maintenance of the home in regards to the inside (clean towels, bathrooms, kitchen appliances, etc) or the outside (comfortable outdoor furniture, working BBQ, etc.).

The house itself is well situated on the North Shore. The yard in front of the house was ideal for our game playing family. The upstairs deck provided a quiet place for anyone wanting to take a nap and avoid another game. The downstairs common area was large and not overcrowded with furniture, but provided enough space for everyone to move around and relax (we had 6 people in our party).

The bedrooms were large and well appointed with additional fans, hangers, extra blankets, etc. It was convenient to have 3 bedrooms and a bathroom for each bedroom; because there was no air conditioning unit, it was extremely helpful to have a fan in every room.

The owner was responsive and addressed any questions we had quickly. Overall, we could not have been happier and plan on staying a little longer next time because it was so comfortable.

Great beachfront home!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great, and exactly as described. It was perfect for our vacation, with 2 small families.

Major drawback was that the road was quite loud in the downstairs rooms. Also, the beach right out from wasnt really kid friendly for swimming.

But overall, super wonderful vacation house!

Super Location, Super House

  • 5 of 5

June 22-29 for our son's wedding. Great house...very well built, solid made, no peeling paint or rotted wood as do many others we saw since upkeep is difficult with houses directly on the ocean. Beautiful wood floors in all areas except bedrooms where there is carpet. Tile floor in all bathrooms.

Nice kitchen with plenty of counter space and lots of pots, pans, dishes and glasses. Living room is open to the kitchen and eating area. Large deck off the back of the house was a wonderful place to have meals and sit and relax. Bedroom set up was perfect for us. On first floor down a short hall are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a very large room with queen size bed and it's own bathroom. It is located in the front of the house street side. Bedroom 2 also on the street side is a good sized room that has a queen bed but no bathroom. Their bathroom is 2 steps outside their door and was like having their own bathroom since the other bedroom had their own. At the top of the stairs is a large room with 2 couches that can be used as beds. This room can also be used as a second living/family room with sliding doors to a large covered deck (this deck has a gorgeous view of the ocean! really nice place to take an afternoon nap) with couch and 2 chairs. Off of the upstairs living/family room is bedroom 3. It is large with a queen size bed and has it's own bathroom. It is located ocean side so you can hear the surf as you lay in bed. No air conditioning in any rooms but they do have ceiling fans that kept us cool. Wonderful grass area between deck and the stairs to the ocean. They do have a shed full of snorkel equipment, fins, boogie boards, surf boards, beach chairs and lots of other stuff. They have bikes which we did not use since my daughter and boyfriend rented them. Bike path right outside house which was great for traveling up and down the coast. House is less than a mile from Foodland where they have everything you might need. Food trucks where we had lunch a number of times are right there also. Immediate response when we called to say that the smoke detector was beeping. A great house and a fabulous wedding!!
