Charming house, great stay

  • 5 of 5

The place is older, yes, but is a wonderful house with lots of space. It was perfect for our family trip and we enjoyed the location and feeling like we had room for all of us without being on top of each other. Great communication from the host. Would definitely stay again.

Nice home for family

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time in the area this July. The house was in the perfect location to do everything we wanted. The owner, Roland, met us at the house and was extremely helpful. We would recommend this house to others.

Wedding Home Base

  • 5 of 5

Roland's house was the perfect home base for our family to stay while in town for a wedding. The bedrooms were very comfortable and quiet. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and enjoyed grilling and eating in the spacious back yard. An additional bathroom would be an improvement, but we made it work. I would definitely return on another visit!

The property is beautiful, and the house has that cozy feeling that only old homes have.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience. We were six college friends, some in close contact and some reconnecting after many years. It was great to have a private home with a common area we could gather in every night. We took Roland' s recommendation of McKay's restaurant for the first night, and had an amazing meal there. It was a great kick off to the weekend. All in all this was a great home base for us to explore Bar Harbor and Acadia.

Charming, perfect get away

  • 5 of 5

We stayed her three nights and the whole experience was perfect. The house is lat 19th century and its careful renovation has kept its Maine charm while providing a house that is fun and not too fussy for the whole family. If I had to write a novel or get some reading done I would come here. Lots of little nooks to sit and read. Roland is a very responsive and helpful host but not intrusive in the least. Though not on the water, it is a close walk, and Bar Harbor a 10 minute drive and Acadia just a bit farther.
