Great House, Nice Location, Fabulous View!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week at this great Tahoe home. We loved being able to walk or ride bikes into Tahoe City. And the walk down to the beach park was even easier. I can't say enough about the view from the living room and the deck. We spent almost all of our time out on the deck, enjoying the lake view. It was so peaceful. The house was exactly as described in the listing; very clean, with plenty of linens and a well equipped kitchen. Having two rooms downstairs was perfect. The teens took over those two rooms, and my husband and I had the master upstairs. Mark was a pleasure to work with, answering all of my email questions before and during our stay. The spa was a nice bonus; we could even see the lake from there. It looks like we'll be planning an annual trip to Tahoe, and we don't think we could find a better house.

Family Thanksgiving Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 7 spent a long Thanksgiving weekend at Mark's vacation home and it was a wonderful experience. The house was much more spacious than the photos convey, yet it still had a warm and cozy feeling inside. The view of the lake from the living room and kitchen is wonderful and we enjoyed each mood that was set as the light changed over the water. We were in town for Thanksgiving, so we were very happy to find that the kitchen was well-stocked with appliances and cookware. We brought a few odds and ends for the turkey, but everything you need to enjoy your stay can be found right in the house. The hot tub was clean and well kept, perfect for relaxing in day and night. With only two bathrooms, it was a bit of a stretch for our group of 7, however this wasn't a major detraction. We would definitely stay here again!

The cabin is charming, clean, comfortable, and has a beautiful view of the lake.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I will rent here again. I almost hesitate to give such a glowing review because I would rather keep this place to ourselves. The owner was so accommodating and professional, however, and we had such a great time, that I just have to tell the truth. Mark keeps in touch before arrival, has a binder with all information you could possibly need upon arrival, and clear directions for how to use everything! Every bedroom has its own television, and the living room has a huge TV. With every cable channel you could want. But the view will keep you from the tv.

The cabin is just as described. The pictures are accurate. It is over-stocked with bath, hand and wash towels, kitchen towels. Lots of nice hot water for cooking, and bathing. The kitchen has everything you could need for cooking. The lake view is just lovely and can be seen from the kitchen, living room, and downstairs bedroom. We walked to the HOA beach almost every day. It's less than a mile. It's a beautiful walk although you do cross Lake Blvd. There are plenty of "good breaks" for crossing. The cabin is also close to the Sunnyside. We walked to a few lazy breakfasts at the Firesign, some lattes and cinnamon rolls at Westshore Market, and to mass at Corpus Christi.

As empty-nesters, we invited our grown kids and grand-baby-infants to join us.They all had a great time. We feel that the time spent together here was priceless. I think we took advantage of all the cabin had to offer. Hot tubbing under the stars, BBQ's on the deck with cold beers and wine, coffee in the morning on the deck, poker nights in the kitchen...we only wish it had gotten cold enough for a fire in the REAL WOOD fireplace.

Each room was nicely decorated, and CLEAN. This cabin is our idea of the right blend between modern convenience and classicTahoe Charm.

Our Happy Place

  • 5 of 5

This mountain home is a perfect place to gather on the West Shore. This is the fourth time we’ve stayed here and it won’t be our last.

It accommodates a large group for entertaining on its large outdoor decks. The home is stocked with glassware, pots and pans, and kitchen gadgets to cook up a great meal. We don’t have to bring additional items from home. We enjoyed our evenings on the deck playing cards, watching the sunset and enjoying the mountain air.

The lower level of the home is perfect for our grown up children and their families. We like to stay for two weeks and this home fits a changing guest list. There is a huge, shelved, closet, on the main level to stage all your stuff It keeps it out of the main living spaces.

Every morning we start our day with a hike up Alpine Road to Open Space Trails or a bike ride. The home is so centrally located. We can walk to the beach, restaurants, hiking trails, and into town. Truckee and North Shore are a short drive away. The garage is the perfect place to store our bikes and kayaks.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us. We will be back.

Comfortable home with fantastic views

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this home. It is a tasteful, clean, comfortable, and well appointed lake home that we will be thrilled to use again one day. We stayed about a week with our three small children and were pleased with the layout of the home- it allowed us to put the kids to bed and still stay up to read, talk, watch TV, hot tub, etc without disturbing them at all. I found Mark to be so wonderful to work with as we were planning this leg of our trip. He was quick to respond, easy to get a hold of, and very accommodating with small requests we had (thanks for the umbrella- key for the baby at the beach!). The homeowners beach is actually so nice and easy- we would explore other areas in the morning and head to Tahoe Park Beach in the afternoon after naps. Really well maintained- plan on renting a grill one night to enjoy as the sun is setting! As you are driving in it feels like there are a lot of (nice) houses right next to one another, but in actuality we did feel pretty secluded in that we could rarely hear or see other neighbors when we were sitting outside. Fabulous location too...loved the West shore of Tahoe!! Thanks Mark!

Family trip to Lake Tahoe

  • 4 of 5

Well positioned house near Tahoe City. The kitchen was very well equipped, beds comfortable, plenty of space for adults and children. Spent most of our time on the deck which had both sun and shade. Use of the beach chairs and umbrella was an added bonus. It was a really peaceful spot with gorgeous views of the lake. Spent time on the lake swimming near the private beach club, visited Donner Lake (much warmer than Tahoe) took a late afternoon trip to Emerald bay and parked with no problem, walked up Eagle Rock and previewed a potential ski trip to Squaw Valley. Always a joy to come back to this comfortable house. Tahoe City is pleasant enough to stroll round and we had a reasonable dinner at the Blue Agave. Definitely try the jalapeno margaritas! Would recommend this house and would stay again. Owner (Mark)answered all my queries and questions promptly. Great service.
