Dollar Point Family Retreat is in a fabulous location, only 500' from the beach as the crow flies, on a very quiet street with filtered lake views and a greenbelt on the west side of the house. This home is perfect for the family getaway with four bedrooms, two baths, and an outdoor hot tub. Within a 5 - 20 minute drive from this home, you will find fabulous restaurants, shopping, world-class ski areas such as Palisades and Northstar, and a championship golf course at The Resort at Squaw Creek. Though most homes in the Tahoe area do not have air conditioning because it is usually not needed, we have a unit in the living room for those all-too-warm days.

The living room has a wood-burning gas fireplace, designer furnishings, and a 46-inch Sony LCD with Apple TV. The living room opens onto a large, furnished deck, set up for outdoor dining and grilling on the 2025 gas Weber BBQ.

The kitchen is very well equipped for those who enjoy cooking, complete with an espresso machine, All-Clad cookware, and loads of spices. There is also a breakfast bar that seats three and is a great place to keep the cook company. The attached dining room seats up to 10 and is the perfect place to relax with family and friends.

Just minutes from the home, there is outstanding bicycling on miles of paved bike trails that are separated from the roads. These trails traverse the West Shore to Rubicon Bay, and to Palisades and Alpine Meadows. There are also miles of mountain biking trails close by.

The ski areas of Palisades and Alpine Meadows are 12-15 minutes away. Northstar is about 20 minutes away.

Bedroom #2: The 'Bunk Room' with four twin-sized beds- PERFECT FOR CHILDREN, NOT SO GREAT FOR ADULTS.
Bedroom #3: Queen-sized bed
Bedroom #4: Two twin-sized beds.

N.B. The Dollar Point beach, pool, and tennis courts are available to friends and family. Skylandia Beach is about a 12-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from the house and is open to the public without fees.

VRBO populates the cancellation policy. We would like to add that if a cancellation occurs within the two-week window before arrival, we will refund 100% if we can rent the house at the same rate or higher for the cancelled dates. If it rents for less, we will refund whatever that amount is.

Regarding the cleanliness rating, we had issues in 2017 & 2018 finding a good cleaning service, but we found one that has been terrific. Since hiring them, we have not had issues.
