Home sits nestled on the back of a 12 acre horse farm
Home sleeps 4 with the queen sleeper sofa bed central heat and air.
Bring your boat we are 2 miles from the Intracoastal and 10 miles to the Santee River. There is a fish cleaning shed on site with power and water.
If you are looking for a peaceful get away this place is for you.

Outdoor adventurers will love the proximity to Francis Marion National Forest, and South Tibwin Hiking Trail is just a mile away yet still within driving distance to Georgetown and Charleston.
We also have 1 bedroom studio available on same property see other listings.
We can also host Weddings !!

We had the best stay at the love shack! We had our wedding here and everything was perfect and magical for our day. We also enjoyed the company of Cali and Trouble- the 2 cats that made it cozy. Thank you Jimmy and Melanie for a great weekend!

Trip to Charleston area

We stayed here with our grandson because it was close to the Center for Birds of Prey and the Bull's Island Ferry. Love the privacy. The cottage had everything we needed.

Peaceful

We enjoyed a week at this Peaceful Place. It was close to several enjoyable wildlife refuges plus Brookgreen Gardens was an easy drive up the road. We liked the seclusion away from traffic noise and the house is great.

What a find!

We loved the place. Our hosts were great and the place is awesome for relaxing and unwinding. There was plenty of space for the boat and all our stuff. The cats are lovely and will happily welcome you home after a day out exploring.

Peaceful setting

Quiet country house. Very relaxed setting. Lots of places to chill. Wonderful porch. Very friendly cats included in visit!Very short stay for us. We did not cook a meal in kitchen as s result.

Peaceful serenity

Just have to say how peaceful this place was. The property was beautiful and the cats were awesome!! We will definitely stay here again. The house was so cozy and made us feel right at home.

Perfect paceful stay and hosts

The place was nice and relaxing just as shown on pictures. The horses were there and two cats were there and the house and outdoors were amazing.The hosts were very responsive, polite and accomodating. It is a perfect location for a relaxing vacation. We highly recommend and hope to go there again. Thank you.

Wedding weekend

We enjoyed our stay. Last night we were sitting on the porch and heard two whippoorwills. It reminded me when I was young. You don’t hear them a lot anymore. Brought back a lot of childhood memories.

Great place for a get away

Booked here to visit friends in town for a couple days. Great location. Very peaceful except a couple of adorable cats (who like to be fed). Woke up to horses out the window. Will be staying again on future visits!

The property has so much potential with great privacy, a little pond to feed fish and turtles, and of course the amazingly friendly cats.

Away from everything

Very peaceful and quite. Beautiful property easy access, no noise at all. Cat climbing the window screen the first night made me jump but just closed the blinds and they stopped.

Weekend Getaway!

The Love Shack was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway! The view of the pond, horses, and occasional doe were amazing. Trouble and Cali were so sweet, helping us miss our own fur babies a little less. We will definitely be returning!

This was a very nice place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed having Cali and Trouble around and seeing the horses and the donkey. We would stay there again. For a place to just relax and get away this is it. They had everything we needed.

A peaceful getaway

The home was very comfortable and the wrap around porch very inviting and pleasant for outside seating. It was wonderful to look on to horses in their pastures and to enjoy the quiet of the space. It's also convenient to McClellanville and Hampton and Hopsewee Plantations, which are worth touring.

We came here on the recommendation of our daughter who stayed in November. In McClellanville to visit friends. Stayed 6 days. Loved it, especially Cali and Trouble! Loved the horses too. House was beautiful and spotless. Will come again next year,. Thank you so much.

Hated to leave...

We loved our stay at the "Love Shack". The property, the animals, the home, everything exceeded expecations. To make it even better, I would suggest adding a dishwasher and an outdoor shower. Also, thumbs down to the town of McLlenville for charging $150 for non-residence to launch a boat. Ridiculous!

Fantastic property boat freidnly

We stayed at this property so that we could take my son who is in the military out fishing on our own boat. The property is just as described, actually the pictures do not do it justice. Plenty of room to pull my boat into the yard and get turned around without any issues. Beautiful piece of property close to bulls bay and other ramps. Away from the crowds of Charleston but not so far that is too far to drive in for dinner. Will definitely book again.

Summer vacation

The house was clean. Big yard with plenty of room for a boat. To turn around. Two boat ramps close by. Very private. The cats are very nice my son loved them. We will be back. The pictures do not do it justice.
