No Driving Necessary! The Bear House Is Located Directly Across from The Snowflake Lodge, Pool and Lake! (fees apply) This grand chalet surrounded by pines is your perfect Sierra Getaway. Enter into the great room with soaring ceilings and a wall of windows to let the beauty of nature shine through. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is a chef's delight. With 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths there is plenty of room for extended family and friends...the master is located on the main floor with a King bed, the queen and kids’ room with 2 doubles and 2 twins (bunks) are located upstairs + a cozy loft. Enjoy that family BBQ on the expansive deck while sipping a cool drink and conversing about the day’s actives. The Rec Center located right across the street includes a pool, lake, tennis/basketball/volleyball/bocce ball courts, ping pong, shuffleboard, movies at dusk a restaurant and much more. With easy access off of Hwy 4 it is a skier’s dream for a quick escape up the mountain to Bear Valley. Stay warm with Central Heat + Gas Log Stove and cool in the summer with Central Air.

Great House- perfect location

We enjoyed our stay at the Bear House and we will hopefully stay there again soon!!! Beautiful house and an excellent location. Perfect for families who want to stay in Blue Lake…. And DOG FRIENDLY!Awesome.

This is our second time staying at the house and we love the location. The house is awesome. We had a few issues because of the really bad snow storm that occurred while we were at the house. Unfortunately, we had to cut the vacation short due to the crazy amount of snow that fell while we were there. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, Mother Nature is undefeated. The power, internet and cell service were out for two and a half of the three days we were there. The house stayed warm with the gas fireplace and we used the bbq / gas stove to eat. It just wasn’t possible to stay through our trip without power. Cedar Creek was able to get us a few little battery powered lanterns and a couple of flashlights. I had to pay for a snowplow to get us out of the driveway which was 150. I was given a credit through VRBO for 120 in One Key Cash Points. We love the house and we hope to reserve it again in the future. It was just tough timing for this winter for our vacation. The house is 5 stars… we made the best of what we had for this trip.

Fam get away

photos are deceiving bushes and walkways are overgrown with shrub making climb up stairs to front door (only access) difficult. Nest thermostat broken keeps turning air on so cold in home would not stay off even if programed to. Kitchen is not as big as it appears. We had to vacuum floors and clean dishes before using facility. Beds where very comfortable, but would've liked a flat sheet to use on top of body instead of comforter as I'm pretty sure they dont wash bedspread comforter after each renter. Yuk. The house has a good floorplan, just needs quite a bit of TLC

I assure you, all of the linen, including the comforters are replaced with fresh bedding after each stay.
