RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Beach Vacation

Great location, shoddy housekeeping

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is cute and has a great beach and pool view. Unfortunately, not everyone follows the no smoking rule, and during our stay, more than one other guest smoked and sent smoke wafting into our lanai. Very unpleasant. There is no enforcement of the no smoking in condos rule. The bed was comfortable, beach towels are ample. The biggest turnoff was that ALL of the flatware, plates, bowls, and glasses had dried food all over them and greasy fingerprints. Apparently, the previous guest ran the dishwasher with no soap, and the food remained. Housekeeping either didn't notice or didn't care to notice and didn't have clean hands when placing in the cabinets. We didn't report this until the day we were leaving, because who wants to ruin their vacation by having the first thing they do go complain about dirty dishes? We arrived at 5:00 pm on Friday and I highly doubt someone would have come at that time. We did not want housekeeping to come and disturb our very first day by handwashing all of the flatware, bowls, plates, and glasses. Also, the inside of the microwave hadn't been cleaned and the inside of the bathroom cabinet hadn't been cleaned. All of this to say that we don't plan to return. Far to much money to pay for a week to have dirty parts of the condo. The rest of the condo was clean.

Gulf front beauty

Lovely, well-appointed unit facing Gulf. Appreciated the outstanding service of the property manager. Any issues were handled promptly while also managing the cleanup and restoration of first floor units from hurricanes. Large warm pool was wonderful. We will return in March.

Pleasant stay

The place is roomy and nice and big, nice view.But as soon we got there the toilet was not working we had to flush it by touching the float each time cause maintenance wasn’t available till the next morning. The other thing we weren’t crazy about for a condo that when you walk in you’re in the bedroom so when you open the door people can look right in. Despite all that we would probably stay again.Thanks Silver Sands

Great condo!!

Last minute getaway for 2. The resort has easy access to beach chairs, umbrella, floats and some toys for kids. We had a great view and the condo had everything we needed. We had groceries delivered and took Ubers to dinner. The nice women at the front office even helped revive our groceries when we couldn’t make it back on time. Will definitely recommend and will book again!

Wonderful couples stay

This will be a go-to place for us in the future because of the private beach experience and the quiet atmosphere. Inside the condo it's bright, beachy, and comfy.It's on the second floor and the balcony is awesome with 6 cushioned seats, a table, and an ocean view. We loved it! Margaret and Sue in the office were very sweet and super accommodating.They have beach umbrellas available at the rental office upon request. The pool was clean and warm. The only constructive feedback is the big chaise lounge chairs for the beach sometimes run out. Fortunately we found two small folding chairs (near the provided pool noodles) but another couple missed out on having chairs for the beach. We think adding a few extra small folding chairs might be an easy solution. Also, service is needed on the sliding door to the patio as it screeches significantly. As for food, we mostly picked up from Coquina Beach Cafe. It was super cheap compared to the other restaurants around Anna Maria--and the food was actually surprisingly good (french toast, eggs, bacon, fish tacos, burgers, ice cream, drinks). There's another ice cream place up by Lazy Lobster. We wished we'd visited La Norma for a dinner out. It's an Italian restaurant with casual outdoor seating that looks/sounds like you're in Italy (fancy inside). Can't wait to come back whenever we need a few beach days! Thanks so much!

Although beach umbrellas were promised, they are very cheap and our first one broke. They are not large enough or sturdy enough. I think the association should invest in some decent umbrellas. If it is a problem of having them return, I would be willing to make a deposit, which is refundable upon leaving. Coming from a long distance away, it is impossible to bring our own. Other than that it was a great vacation, although I think the bathroom in our unit is dark and needs more lighting. also, it was impossible to open the sliding glass door onto the porch.

Silver Sands Longboat Key 2023

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay at this resort and on Longboat key. This is a small resort that we prefer with very friendly service. The pool and grounds are well maintained. Since it’s an older resort minor maintenance issues are not uncommon but remedied in a timely fashion. There is no elevator but since there are only 2 floors that hasn’t been a problem for us. We loved our location this year since we had a perfect view from our lanai of the pool and ocean. Our unit had an ice maker and dishwasher which is a plus for us. The king bed was super comfortable. We went to a couple of the local restaurants and our favorite was the Lazy Lobster. If you don’t want to eat dinner at 4 pm or 8 pm, make sure you make reservations 2 or more weeks ahead.
