Located beachfront on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella (located in the back closet) while breathing in the fresh saltwater air. Vacation Rental

Had a great time. Great location. Only problem was water does not drain well from master bathroom. It wasn’t a deal breaker. I would definitely recommend the place and stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was very nice and accommodating for 5 people. We have stayed in other units on this property and this one is the best so far. The only thing I will say is it needs sprayed for bugs. Every time I used the sink there were roaches/palmetto bugs crawling out of the sprayer!! Also, usually when we stay here there are umbrellas and they were none. One of the reasons we stay so we don't have to bring/carry all that back and forth to room every day. Other than that this property is wonderful, quiet, close to food. We will always choose this property when we stay at LBK.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were totally underwhelmed with the property. As you open the front door you are faced with town beds! We were all adults, but I certainly wouldn’t want children staying in that room. Plus even as adults it was restricting. A very strange layout indeed. The accommodation was clean, the two staff we encountered were both great. The location is great, but that particular condo we would not return too.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love Silver Sands and we just had our third year here and have already booked for next year. Our condo was perfect on the beach to view the beautiful sunset. I was a little disappointed in the pool area. Thick oily film on the tile all the around the pool. Pool was full of sand and very little pool furniture ie: tables. Last year it was set up nicer. I understand there was some damage because of the hurricane, but some new tables with umbrellas would be nice. See you next year.

Girls Weekend

We enjoyed our stay at the Silver Sands unit #259. When we finally got to our room it was not cool and we had no A/C the first night. They did get it fixed for the remainder of the stay. Did request some type of refund, but have not heard back from them.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Unit 259. It is furnished thoughtfully, and everything we needed was provided. The views from the screen porch were amazing! The water is perfect, so clear and such a beautiful color of turquoise. We did not turn on the televisions all week. We will be back again next year! The only recommendation we could possibly make is the king size bed has a very firm/hard mattress. We would suggest adding a pillowtop topper, and that would make it just perfect!

Amazing view!

My husband and I stayed at this condo for a week with our 2.5 year old and had the greatest time! you literally cannot get any closer to the beach or pool, talk about perfect location! The condo was so cute, very clean and the perfect amount of space. Everything was updated and the cleaning service was definitely a plus! The pool and pool are were much bigger than i imagined. The pool was nice and warm and my daughter loved playing in it everyday! Some things to note are that it is not walking distance to much so be prepared to drive to restaurants and bars, although everything is close by. We chose to stay in and grill out a couple of nights. Also, as the description says the condo opens into the guest bedroom. If you have adults staying in there is could be kind of weird having to go through their bedroom to get in or out. Overall, great place to stay at a great price@

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In many cases I tend to ignore a request for a review of a product or service. I cannot do that in the case of Unit 259 Silver Sands. The owners have put great thought into both making you feel welcome and providing what would be the needs of most people/ A welcoming card when you arrive is a nice touch. The view of the Gulf is of course the highlight. But more than that the owners spent time thinking what they would like if they were renting the place. This is my fourth time as Silver Sands and the people at the front desk are always helpful. IN this latest trip it is Margaret who did a great job helping when I needed assistance

Great location, Very Relaxing Vacation!

We stayed at the condo in early May and had perfect weather. That location is fantastic. Condo offers a full view of the ocean and is only steps from the beautiful, uncrowded beach. Close to shopping and many wonderful restaurants. We love St Armand’s Circle. Condo itself was nice. Beautiful balcony. Although we did not cook, kitchen appear to be well stocked. Only odd thing was the entrance into the condo was through the second bedroom. This did not bother us and it was noted in the description of the rental unit. Beach chairs were available for guests to use. Beach umbrellas were also actually available in the condo unit itself, but they were in the back closet which we never opened until the last day of our stay. Instead we went and purchased an umbrella. Perhaps the owner should consider making that information known to the guests to save them, the expense of going out and purchasing their own umbrellas, only to find them later. They now have an extra umbrella as we left the one we purchased in the condo in the closet. Our only issue with the condo was that the property allows visitors to smoke on their patios. The people below us were smokers. Every night we would have to go inside and close our door until they finished smoking as the smoke all came up into our patio. Lucky for us, they did not smoke long, but if you are sensitive to smoke or just simply dislike it, this should be considered. My hope would be in the future that the condo association votes to make the entire property non-smoking or designate an area away from the actual units or people can go and have a cigarette. Other than the issue with the cigarettes, it was a lovely vacation - very relaxing in a fantastic area of Florida.

A little disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to LBK - Silver Sands for 35 years. This year, room was not stocked appropriately. Two rolls of TP for 6 people - small qty of towels and 2 garbage bags. If they are no longer going to service rooms, then stock the rooms. Someone should (at the very least) come by rooms and ask if you need TP, towels, garbage bags. Even when I walked to office, they said towels were not available (clean) - She did manage to find me two rolls of TP in the back of her office. Just really disappointed - When you pay $4500 for a week, you expect a little more. Chairs on the beach were nasty - broken, stained. Sad to see the place I love deteriorating. Will look elsewhere next year.
