Welcome to our Hi-Sierra Getaway! This cozy family cabin is located in the Plavada Woodlands, a small community on the Yuba River, it is near Sugar Bowl, Boreal/Woodward, Donner Ski Ranch, Truckee & the Yuba River.
This home includes 3 bedroom & 2 baths, plus a loft that kids love. It has an open kitchen, living and dining area, plus vaulted ceilings and a lounge area upstairs. This home is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (kids included), that are looking to enjoy a relaxing escape in the Sierras.

Hi-Sierra Getaway is a multi-level, cozy and stylish 3 bedroom/2 bathroom home. With an open floor plan the kitchen, living and dining area are set up to entertain and enjoy together.
On the main level, the great room has vaulted ceilings, a sunny kitchen, large dining area and cozy living area with a wood stove; all which opens up onto a private deck. Also downstairs is 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, plus a large laundry room great for dropping wet gear.
Upstairs includes 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, as well as a bonus lounge area that features activities like board games, DVD’s and DVD player, a PS3, and a flat screen smart TV. Log in to the smart TV to enjoy your favorite shows and movies directly from your profile. The house has wireless internet and 2 window air conditioners as well.
In addition there is a loft that kids love! It’s accessed via a ladder in the lounge area and there is a single mattress and double mattress for a cozy sleeping option.
Guests will have access to the entire home during their stay besides one locked owner's closets. Plus a Homeowners beach, walking trails, quiet evenings and nice mountain air. Also included is a BBQ, movies, books, games and really comfortable areas to just relax.
Pride of ownership. We built this house with love and attention to detail, and we are fastidious about its upkeep.

SKI LEASE REQUIREMENTS (DEC 2024 - APRIL 2025):
- Guest pays for electric & propane usage during ski lease dates. Owner pays high speed internet, garbage, and water. Deposit required for utilities.
- For Ski Lease Season guests pay approximately $500 (prorated share) of snow plowing services for the driveway.
- Guest are responsible for shoveling deck and stairs. Guest pay for any hand snow shoveling services during their stay. These can be obtained from the snow plow provider. Inquire for more info.
- An additional $40 deep cleaning fee (to be done after end of stay) is required.

Place used linens in laundry room

We love the area and had been looking for property to build; not so far away from our home that we would not enjoy it with family, and close enough for a fun weekend getaway. The property we chose became available at a time when we were able to purchase the land and build a small home to our specifications. After 2-3 years of our own sweat and tears, we were able to make that dream come true. We visit as often as we are able, but not as often as we would like, and therefore would like to share it's comfort and location with those who like to come to the slopes in the winter or just kick back and enjoy the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains in any season. We appreciate the opportunity to share our cabin with you should you decide to come stay at Hi Sierra!

Close to Ski resorts. Road is always plowed! Even when the highway is closed!! Just minutes to Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Donner Ski Ranch and Royal Gorge. Great recreational area. Homeowners access to Yuba River. Hiking, sledding and recreational activities close!
